To help Su Nianfeng with her university entrance exam, Su Muyun secretly entered her room at night. He gently opened her drawer, took out her test papers, and photographed them with his phone. Su Nianfeng, sound asleep, remained unaware. Back in his own room, he carefully reviewed each question she had answered under the desk lamp, considering how best to tutor her. As the school anniversary approached, the teacher asked students to prepare a performance.
A classmate suggested Su Nianfeng participate, remarking that while her image was barely acceptable, she had plenty of time. Su Nianfeng protested that she also needed to study. The classmate persisted, highlighting the presence of many famous alumni and the exciting possibility of a scout discovering her. Su Muyun then interjected, stating clearly that Su Nianfeng did not want to go and adding protectively that while he could bully her, others could not.
After school, upon seeing Qin Yao, Su Nianfeng quickly tidied her hair. Qin Yao commented that he heard she had improved ten ranks in her studies and mentioned that Su Muyun had asked him to arrange a hotpot gathering. Su Muyun, however, quickly denied any involvement. Su Nianfeng then spotted Le Diyin nearby and pulled him over to introduce him to Qin Yao as her deskmate who had helped her greatly.
She invited Le Diyin to join them, but he politely declined, stating he didn't feel well. Seeing Su Nianfeng holding Le Diyin's arm, Su Muyun looked displeased. During the hotpot meal, Qin Yao again asked Su Nianfeng if she planned to participate in the school anniversary performance. She reiterated that she should focus on her studies.
Qin Yao mentioned that he and Qi Yuan planned to perform a song and encouraged Su Nianfeng to join, suggesting it would be a special memory and a good way to relieve stress. Hesitantly, Su Nianfeng asked if he thought she could do it, to which Qin Yao confidently replied that he believed in her. Su Muyun grumbled nearby, telling him not to mislead her.
Later that evening, Su Nianfeng looked at the registration form, thinking how wonderful it would be to perform on stage with Qin Yao. Just then, Su Muyun entered her room, saw the form, and realized she had changed her mind because of Qin Yao. He immediately dampened her spirits by telling her she had no artistic talent. Angered, Su Nianfeng pushed him out of her room. Subsequently, Su Muyun began to deliberately disrupt her practice.
To escape his interference, she started practicing in the school bathroom, where she ran into Liu Zihui. Liu Zihui proposed they form a recitation duo called the "Huiming Sisters." When Su Nianfeng submitted the registration form, the teacher questioned her ability to balance practice with her studies. Just as Su Nianfeng hesitated, Su Muyun entered the office and assured the teacher he would help her. The teacher then approved their participation, telling them to prepare well.
After leaving the office, Su Nianfeng thanked Su Muyun, but he clarified that tutoring her didn't mean he supported her participation, stating he just didn't want a sister who had never gone to college. Later, Su Nianfeng and Liu Zihui attended a broadcasting class. There, she met Qin Yao, who encouraged her performance plans.
Su Muyun then appeared, pulled her out of the class to go home and cook, and asked if she was participating because of Qin Yao, which she angrily denied. Observing Su Muyun’s opposition, Liu Zihui offered to help him. The two went to eat spicy lobsters, and after eating a few, Su Muyun experienced intense stomach pain. Liu Zihui coached him to exaggerate his pain to gain sympathy.
She then rushed him home, shouting for Su Nianfeng that her brother was "dying." Alarmed, Su Nianfeng helped him to the sofa, gave him medicine, and tended to his fever with a cool towel. Exhausted, she eventually fell asleep by his side. Su Muyun later awoke and, looking at her, silently wished she could remain shielded from the cruel past forever. Feeling that something was "weird" between the siblings, Liu Zihui decided to investigate further.
She visited their home with a bouquet of white flowers, finding Su Muyun and Su Nianfeng playing a game. When asked about his stomach, he curtly replied, "I'm not dead yet." Liu Zihui claimed she was there to see Su Nianfeng to build their chemistry as a duo. Su Nianfeng showed her old photo albums, admitting she didn't remember much about her childhood.
A flashback revealed a young Su Muyun tricking a boy into not playing with his sister, making her cry, only to comfort her himself moments later. At the broadcasting class, Su Nianfeng and Liu Zihui encountered Qi Yuan. Qin Yao brought Qi Yuan her favorite milk tea, which disappointed Su Nianfeng.
Learning of Su Nianfeng's plans for the school anniversary, Qi Yuan belittled her, suggesting she was not suited for broadcasting and should focus on her studies to avoid failing her college entrance exam. At that moment, Su Muyun walked over, put his arm around Su Nianfeng, and firmly stated that no one had the right to undermine another's efforts, insisting that his sister was great.
Warmed by his support, Su Nianfeng asked why he was there, and he handed her lozenges for her throat, telling her they were only for her. Later, while Su Nianfeng was practicing, she received a call on Le Diyin's phone from his father, who informed her that Le Diyin was being resuscitated in the hospital. Su Nianfeng immediately rushed out of the house. Su Muyun followed her on his bicycle.
As he caught up, she tearfully confessed her feelings of inadequacy and how Le Diyin was the only one who had ever truly encouraged her. Seeing her distress, Su Muyun offered, "I'll take you there."
