Jiang Sihan, a blogger, is inwardly flustered after realizing Cheng Mu's muse for his "Miss Moon" dessert was her, despite her previous impression that he disliked her. As a heavy storm begins, she worries about Cheng Mu and recalls a news report about a tourist suffocating in a car during a storm. She immediately calls Cheng Mu, learning his car has broken down outside the village, leaving him stranded.
Concerned for his safety, she sets out to find him even as her phone battery runs low. She finds Cheng Mu and urges him to return to the guesthouse with her. When her phone dies, leaving her stranded as well, Cheng Mu offers her a choice: walk back or recline the car seat and sleep. Later, Cheng Mu apologizes for mistaking her for someone else a year ago due to being drunk, and for not recognizing her since.
Jiang Sihan then asks if he was the one who gave her the necklace, which he confirms. The next morning, Jiang Sihan wakes up in the car alone, initially worried about Cheng Mu's whereabouts. He soon returns, having already arranged for a rescue team. The mechanic, noticing them, playfully comments on young couples sleeping in cars during storms, warning them of potential dangers. Cheng Mu clarifies that their car simply broke down.
Before the mechanic leaves, Cheng Mu offers Jiang Sihan a corn he had been saving. She teases that he must have saved it for his girlfriend. Flustered, Jiang Sihan clarifies to the mechanic that Cheng Mu is not her boyfriend, to which the mechanic expresses pity. Jiang Sihan later asks Cheng Mu if his "Miss Moon" dessert was inspired by her, and he admits she provided "a little inspiration."
She then writes a story based on this, which becomes a hit. She discusses it with Yu, Cheng Mu's sister and her superior, who praises Jiang Sihan for writing a romantic story for her "eternally single brother." Yu, calling Jiang Sihan her "Maneki-neko" (lucky cat), reveals that the story brought in a major deal. A client, impressed by Jiang Sihan's online article, wants to collaborate on a new rose-flavored perfume.
Although Jiang Sihan initially hesitates, stating her account doesn't accept advertisements, Yu persuades her by promising full company support for her food content and better compensation. Inspired, Jiang Sihan proposes a "Black Angel and White Angel" theme for the advertisement, which Yu approves. Jiang Sihan receives an urgent call from the Airport Support Center regarding Rui Rui, her nephew. Rushing to the airport, she finds Rui Rui, who immediately greets Cheng Mu as "Godfather" and her as "Auntie."
Cheng Mu explains that Rui Rui's father, Zhou Ming, asked him to care for the boy. Jiang Sihan attempts to call her sister, Jiang Siman, but Rui Rui stops her, revealing his parents are divorcing and trying to hide it from him. When the airport staff requests a signature for Rui Rui's handover, Jiang Sihan wants to take Rui Rui home, but he refuses, stating he is a boy and cannot live with a girl.
Cheng Mu then offers to let Rui Rui stay at his place, affirming his role as Godfather. He even suggests Jiang Sihan could stay with them if she's worried, but she declines, explaining that an aunt can't live with a "Godfather," and promises Rui Rui she will visit often. Jiang Siman calls Jiang Sihan, revealing she and her husband are fighting for custody and sent Rui Rui away to spare him from their quarrels.
She admits she sent Rui Rui to Cheng Mu because her husband didn't agree to send him to Jiang Sihan, and she believes Cheng Mu is more suitable given Jiang Sihan's unstable job and struggles with rent. Jiang Siman asks her to visit Cheng Mu's home frequently to help care for Rui Rui, as Cheng Mu is an unmarried man with no experience raising children.
When Cheng Mu's colleagues make excuses to avoid helping with Rui Rui, he decides to take care of him himself. Later, Cheng Mu subtly asks Rui Rui about Jiang Sihan's habits. Rui Rui reveals that his aunt frequently eats instant noodles because she spends all her money on desserts and often struggles to pay rent, which worries his mother. Rui Rui then innocently asks Cheng Mu if he likes his Auntie.
At the advertising shoot for the "Black Angel and White Angel" series, Li Jingyang stars as the male lead. Yu, overseeing the shoot, praises his "White Angel" portrayal as clean and pure. However, she stresses the importance of the "Black Angel" segment. Impressed by his ability to embody the "Black Angel," Yu acknowledges his performance. Seizing the opportunity, Li Jingyang asks Yu for a date as a reward.
Yu agrees, but immediately calls him "little brother," subtly putting him in the friend zone. While Cheng Mu and Rui Rui are playing in a fountain, Jiang Sihan arrives and reprimands Cheng Mu for allowing Rui Rui to play in the cold water. After a playful exchange where she reminds Rui Rui that getting sick means taking bitter medicine, he agrees to get out. She instructs Cheng Mu to take Rui Rui home to change clothes immediately.
Later, Li Jingyang arrives at Cheng Mu's house and is surprised to see Jiang Sihan there. He learns she is Jiang Siman's sister and remarks that Cheng Mu has never brought other women home, making her the first. Li Jingyang then asks if he, too, can visit Rui Rui often, particularly when Jiang Siman is around. Rui Rui, however, declares he only wants his Godfather and Auntie to visit. Feeling like an outsider, Li Jingyang leaves.
After Li Jingyang leaves, Jiang Sihan attempts to cook dinner, preparing a steamed egg that Rui Rui comically questions if it's "food for humans," though he tries it. Soon after, Rui Rui develops a stomachache, causing Jiang Sihan to feel deeply guilty. At the hospital, the doctor informs them Rui Rui has mild diarrhea from catching a cold, not from the food. However, a nurse, misinterpreting their situation as that of irresponsible young parents, scolds them.
Hearing her words, Cheng Mu is visibly upset and quietly says he feels like "a burden." Seeing Jiang Sihan's self-blame, Cheng Mu comforts her, stating she couldn't have known about Rui Rui playing in the water. He then proposes that they move in together for Rui Rui's sake, which surprises Jiang Sihan.
