Since I Met U Synopsis

By chance, Cheng Mu was rescued by Jiang Sihan, and he never forgot this "Moonlit Maiden." He even named a dessert after her at his bakery, SOL. Coincidentally, Jiang Sihan—working as a food blogger—visited the shop for a review, leading to their reunion. When they ended up taking care of the adorable little boy Rui Rui together, they began living as an unconventional "family of three."

Through misunderstandings, resolving conflicts, and standing by each other, their bond grew deeper and inseparable. In the process, they discovered that loving and being loved could happen at the same time.

Since I Met U Recap

Episode 1 Recap

During graduation, Jiang Sihan is devastated to learn that her long-time crush, the class president, is going abroad with another girl. Encouraged by a friend, but still heartbroken, she gets drunk and decides to confess anyway. In her intoxicated state, she approaches a man on the beach she mistakes for her crush, tearfully pouring her heart out and giving him a rose with a love letter. Unaware of her mistake, she leaves, believing her confession was just wishful thinking.

The man she actually confessed to was Cheng Mu. A year later, Jiang Sihan is a rising food blogger known as "Taro Knows How to Eat." She becomes fascinated by Sol Dessert and its signature creation, "Miss Moon," which has been the top dessert in the city for a year.

Visiting the shop, she is captivated by the dessert's unique blend of rose, wine, and sea salt, which she describes as evoking a feeling of bittersweet joy, like finding hope in a moment of despair. Cheng Mu, the owner of Sol Dessert, is visibly moved to see her, but his hope turns to disappointment when she introduces herself without any sign of recognition.

Despite her eloquent praise for "Miss Moon" and her request for an interview, Cheng Mu remains aloof and refuses, telling her she isn't ready. Later that night, he rereads the scented love letter she gave him a year ago, wondering if she has truly forgotten him. Meanwhile, Jiang Sihan is under pressure from her sister about overdue rent and the fact she secretly quit her job to become a full-time blogger.

Desperate for a breakthrough story, she begins following Cheng Mu. When she is stopped by a security guard, Cheng Mu intervenes but confronts her directly, asking if she truly doesn't remember him. Jiang Sihan insists their meeting is purely professional, concerned only with "Miss Moon." Unconvinced, Cheng Mu confiscates a humorous evaluation sheet she made for him—which gives him zero stars for personality—and warns her not to return with such "boring" intentions.

Undeterred, Jiang Sihan discovers that Cheng Mu's sister, Cheng Yu, is her own boss. She pitches an interview with Cheng Mu to Cheng Yu, highlighting the mutual benefits for Sol Dessert and her blog. Cheng Yu agrees to arrange it but cryptically warns Jiang Sihan to maintain a professional distance from her brother to avoid getting hurt. Jiang Sihan corners Cheng Mu at the dessert shop during its off-hours. He finally relents and shares the story behind "Miss Moon."

He explains that a year ago, during a low point in his life, a drunken girl mistook him for someone else and confessed her feelings to him with a rose and a letter. He reveals that her brave words, though misdirected, gave him the courage to persevere. Jiang Sihan finds the story, particularly the detail about the rose, eerily familiar and writes a viral article about it.

The post boosts Jiang Sihan's followers to 150,000 and drives massive traffic to Sol Dessert. Encouraged by Cheng Yu to create follow-up content, Jiang Sihan convinces Cheng Mu to take her to the original location of the confession: Qingshan Fishing Village. Upon arriving, they discover all the rooms are booked. Cheng Mu gives Jiang Sihan his reservation, opting to sleep in his car. He then directs her to a specific spot—the reef on the west side of the village.

There, he presents her with a single rose. The familiar scent triggers a flood of memories, and Jiang Sihan finally realizes the truth: she was the drunken girl, Cheng Mu was the stranger she confessed to, and she is the inspiration for "Miss Moon."

Episode 2 Recap

Jiang Sihan, a blogger, is inwardly flustered after realizing Cheng Mu's muse for his "Miss Moon" dessert was her, despite her previous impression that he disliked her. As a heavy storm begins, she worries about Cheng Mu and recalls a news report about a tourist suffocating in a car during a storm. She immediately calls Cheng Mu, learning his car has broken down outside the village, leaving him stranded.

Concerned for his safety, she sets out to find him even as her phone battery runs low. She finds Cheng Mu and urges him to return to the guesthouse with her. When her phone dies, leaving her stranded as well, Cheng Mu offers her a choice: walk back or recline the car seat and sleep. Later, Cheng Mu apologizes for mistaking her for someone else a year ago due to being drunk, and for not recognizing her since.

Jiang Sihan then asks if he was the one who gave her the necklace, which he confirms. The next morning, Jiang Sihan wakes up in the car alone, initially worried about Cheng Mu's whereabouts. He soon returns, having already arranged for a rescue team. The mechanic, noticing them, playfully comments on young couples sleeping in cars during storms, warning them of potential dangers. Cheng Mu clarifies that their car simply broke down.

Before the mechanic leaves, Cheng Mu offers Jiang Sihan a corn he had been saving. She teases that he must have saved it for his girlfriend. Flustered, Jiang Sihan clarifies to the mechanic that Cheng Mu is not her boyfriend, to which the mechanic expresses pity. Jiang Sihan later asks Cheng Mu if his "Miss Moon" dessert was inspired by her, and he admits she provided "a little inspiration."

She then writes a story based on this, which becomes a hit. She discusses it with Yu, Cheng Mu's sister and her superior, who praises Jiang Sihan for writing a romantic story for her "eternally single brother." Yu, calling Jiang Sihan her "Maneki-neko" (lucky cat), reveals that the story brought in a major deal. A client, impressed by Jiang Sihan's online article, wants to collaborate on a new rose-flavored perfume.

Although Jiang Sihan initially hesitates, stating her account doesn't accept advertisements, Yu persuades her by promising full company support for her food content and better compensation. Inspired, Jiang Sihan proposes a "Black Angel and White Angel" theme for the advertisement, which Yu approves. Jiang Sihan receives an urgent call from the Airport Support Center regarding Rui Rui, her nephew. Rushing to the airport, she finds Rui Rui, who immediately greets Cheng Mu as "Godfather" and her as "Auntie."

Cheng Mu explains that Rui Rui's father, Zhou Ming, asked him to care for the boy. Jiang Sihan attempts to call her sister, Jiang Siman, but Rui Rui stops her, revealing his parents are divorcing and trying to hide it from him. When the airport staff requests a signature for Rui Rui's handover, Jiang Sihan wants to take Rui Rui home, but he refuses, stating he is a boy and cannot live with a girl.

Cheng Mu then offers to let Rui Rui stay at his place, affirming his role as Godfather. He even suggests Jiang Sihan could stay with them if she's worried, but she declines, explaining that an aunt can't live with a "Godfather," and promises Rui Rui she will visit often. Jiang Siman calls Jiang Sihan, revealing she and her husband are fighting for custody and sent Rui Rui away to spare him from their quarrels.

She admits she sent Rui Rui to Cheng Mu because her husband didn't agree to send him to Jiang Sihan, and she believes Cheng Mu is more suitable given Jiang Sihan's unstable job and struggles with rent. Jiang Siman asks her to visit Cheng Mu's home frequently to help care for Rui Rui, as Cheng Mu is an unmarried man with no experience raising children.

When Cheng Mu's colleagues make excuses to avoid helping with Rui Rui, he decides to take care of him himself. Later, Cheng Mu subtly asks Rui Rui about Jiang Sihan's habits. Rui Rui reveals that his aunt frequently eats instant noodles because she spends all her money on desserts and often struggles to pay rent, which worries his mother. Rui Rui then innocently asks Cheng Mu if he likes his Auntie.

At the advertising shoot for the "Black Angel and White Angel" series, Li Jingyang stars as the male lead. Yu, overseeing the shoot, praises his "White Angel" portrayal as clean and pure. However, she stresses the importance of the "Black Angel" segment. Impressed by his ability to embody the "Black Angel," Yu acknowledges his performance. Seizing the opportunity, Li Jingyang asks Yu for a date as a reward.

Yu agrees, but immediately calls him "little brother," subtly putting him in the friend zone. While Cheng Mu and Rui Rui are playing in a fountain, Jiang Sihan arrives and reprimands Cheng Mu for allowing Rui Rui to play in the cold water. After a playful exchange where she reminds Rui Rui that getting sick means taking bitter medicine, he agrees to get out. She instructs Cheng Mu to take Rui Rui home to change clothes immediately.

Later, Li Jingyang arrives at Cheng Mu's house and is surprised to see Jiang Sihan there. He learns she is Jiang Siman's sister and remarks that Cheng Mu has never brought other women home, making her the first. Li Jingyang then asks if he, too, can visit Rui Rui often, particularly when Jiang Siman is around. Rui Rui, however, declares he only wants his Godfather and Auntie to visit. Feeling like an outsider, Li Jingyang leaves.

After Li Jingyang leaves, Jiang Sihan attempts to cook dinner, preparing a steamed egg that Rui Rui comically questions if it's "food for humans," though he tries it. Soon after, Rui Rui develops a stomachache, causing Jiang Sihan to feel deeply guilty. At the hospital, the doctor informs them Rui Rui has mild diarrhea from catching a cold, not from the food. However, a nurse, misinterpreting their situation as that of irresponsible young parents, scolds them.

Hearing her words, Cheng Mu is visibly upset and quietly says he feels like "a burden." Seeing Jiang Sihan's self-blame, Cheng Mu comforts her, stating she couldn't have known about Rui Rui playing in the water. He then proposes that they move in together for Rui Rui's sake, which surprises Jiang Sihan.

Episode 3 Recap

Following up on his offer, Cheng Mu proposes that he and Jiang Sihan move in together to better care for Rui Rui. Jiang Sihan is initially hesitant about the implications of cohabitation. Cheng Mu explains that he cannot bring Rui Rui to his shop every day, and her flexible work schedule is ideal for childcare.

Although she suggests simply sending Rui Rui to her place, Cheng Mu counters that constantly moving the child between homes might make him feel like a burden. Sweetening the deal with free room and board, Cheng Mu emphasizes how happy Rui Rui would be with her there. Considering her own financial strain and Rui Rui's well-being, Jiang Sihan agrees. The next day, Cheng Mu anxiously waits for Jiang Sihan, worrying she might have changed her mind.

When she arrives, delayed by traffic, he gives her a tour of the house, showing her the kitchen, study, and the designated rooms for Rui Rui, himself, and her. Before leaving for work, he reminds Rui Rui to listen to his aunt. Jiang Sihan observes that Cheng Mu's room is decorated in a stark black, white, and gray palette, reflecting his personality. She then surprises an overjoyed Rui Rui by transforming his plain room into a vibrant, colorful space.

Later, when Rui Rui says he's hungry, she makes him his favorite steamed eggs. At the office, Jingyang visits Cheng Yu to celebrate the record-breaking launch of their recent project. He presents her with a bouquet, but Cheng Yu notices he has merely re-gifted flowers meant for her, pointing out the original card he forgot to remove. After he apologizes, Jingyang boldly asks her to a celebratory candlelight dinner, citing his new status as the company's "headliner."

At dinner, they discuss Rui Rui, and Cheng Yu mentions that Jiang Sihan has officially moved in with Cheng Mu to care for the boy, speculating that they are now living like a family. She urges Jingyang to consider his own romantic future, prompting him to ask what she thinks of him. She deflects by talking about her brother and Jiang Sihan.

Annoyed when she tries to have her assistant schedule their "date" like a business appointment, Jingyang explicitly states he is pursuing her. Cheng Yu politely rejects him, saying they are not a good match, a claim he playfully refutes. Later, by a musical fountain, Jingyang encourages a tipsy Cheng Yu to dance with him. She resists, admitting she is not as perfect as he imagines.

He insists this side of her makes him like her even more, but she calls him stubborn. She tells him that if he weren't so young, she might have considered it. Jingyang argues that age is not a barrier, but Cheng Yu maintains that for her, it is, making a relationship between them impossible. Meanwhile, at Cheng Mu's dessert shop, Sol, employees worry about a new rival, "Sweet," opening just a street away.

Cheng Mu reassures them, framing the competition as proof of their own success and status as a local landmark. He advises his team to stay focused and not panic. Later, he develops a new dessert and, uncharacteristically, leaves work on time to take it home, refusing to let his colleagues have a taste.

His early departure sparks speculation: some think he has a date, while others believe he's rushing home to Rui Rui, noting his workaholic habits have softened since the boy's arrival. His colleagues later gossip about his new living arrangement, impressed that he initiated moving in with Jiang Sihan so quickly. At home, Cheng Mu finds the house transformed by Jiang Sihan's presence, now feeling warmer and more alive.

Rui Rui teases that Cheng Mu will never find a wife if he keeps his room so bland. Jiang Sihan installs a "kid-watching gadget"—a camera sent by her brother-in-law, Zhou Ming. Cheng Mu presents the new dessert he brought home. After tasting it, Jiang Sihan describes the flavor as two long-separated people joyfully reuniting and suggests naming it "Meeting," which impresses Cheng Mu.

In his room, she discovers a single rose preserved under a glass dome and briefly wonders if it's one she once gave him before dismissing the idea. Later, a playful water fight erupts during Rui Rui's bath. After Jiang Sihan scolds Cheng Mu for retaliating against a child, she orders him to clean the messy bathroom.

When Rui Rui suggests his godfather might slack off, Jiang Sihan declares she will supervise him, leading to a lighthearted, flirtatious misunderstanding about her supervising his shower. To ensure harmony, Jiang Sihan drafts a "Cohabitation Agreement." The rules include respecting private rooms, sharing chores and expenses, and dressing appropriately.

She adds a key rule for Cheng Mu: he must notify her before leaving the house, explaining that with Rui Rui in her care, it would be dangerous if they were both out. Cheng Mu agrees, and the three of them seal the pact with their fingerprints, taking a photo to commemorate the moment.

Episode 4 Recap

After a passionate night, Jingyang woke up full of excitement, but Cheng Yu quickly dispelled his hopes. She informed him that despite what had transpired, their relationship wouldn't change, emphasizing that they were both adults. When Jingyang stammered that it was his first time, Cheng Yu was amused, reaffirming that her feelings for him hadn't shifted and offering him other forms of compensation. He, however, stubbornly declared his commitment to pursuing her.

Meanwhile, Cheng Mu and Jiang Sihan were enjoying their shared life at home with Rui Rui. Rui Rui's father had sent a security camera, allowing a distracted Cheng Mu to watch Jiang Sihan and Rui Rui playing while he was at work. At his sweet shop, Cheng Mu's colleague, Bin, noted his boss's distraction was likely due to a new competitor, Sweet, which was poised to open soon with several new products.

While Bin suggested preparing for battle, Cheng Mu dismissed the urgency, confident in their own new product which was nearly ready. He planned to release it after Sweet's opening to create a friendly competition. One day, Cheng Yu visited Cheng Mu and Jiang Sihan. During her visit, Cheng Mu called, having forgotten his dessert recipe notebook and asking Jiang Sihan to bring it to him. Jiang Sihan initially hesitated, but Cheng Yu offered to supervise Rui Rui.

Cheng Yu then playfully probed Jiang Sihan about her feelings for Cheng Mu, suggesting he was using Rui Rui as an excuse to get her to move in. Rui Rui, overhearing, eagerly agreed to help make Cheng Mu his uncle-in-law in exchange for a Transformer toy. On her way to the shop, Jiang Sihan accidentally dropped the notebook. As she picked it up, she was impressed by the detailed dessert designs inside.

She delivered the notebook to a flustered Cheng Mu, whose colleague explained he had been distracted by the new product development. Soon after, a serious problem arose: Sweet launched a new product strikingly similar to Cheng Mu's unreleased dessert, even sharing the same name, "Childhood." Bin immediately accused Jiang Sihan of leaking the recipe, citing her visit to the shop with the notebook. Jiang Sihan admitted to accidentally glancing at the notebook's contents but vehemently denied any wrongdoing.

When Cheng Mu tried to mediate instead of explicitly defending her, Jiang Sihan felt deeply betrayed. Heartbroken by the unfair accusation, she ran out in tears. Later, Rui Rui advised Cheng Mu that men should be more understanding, suggesting he apologize and "act cute" like his own father does. Seizing the opportunity when it began to rain, Rui Rui encouraged Cheng Mu to take an umbrella to Jiang Sihan.

He found her, but she was still distraught and pushed him away. She clarified that she had not leaked the recipe and announced her decision to move out to prove her innocence, fearing more accidental "traps" in his home could tarnish her reputation. Cheng Mu pleaded with her, insisting he didn't suspect her, but she was resolute. She coldly told him to tell Rui Rui she was on a business trip and walked away.

With Jiang Sihan gone, Cheng Mu arranged for Jingyang to look after Rui Rui while he worked. Rui Rui, noticing her absence, asked when "Auntie" would return from her "business trip." Cheng Mu vaguely replied that she was busy. Later, Jingyang brought Rui Rui to the sweet shop, where Rui Rui confronted Cheng Mu, revealing that Jingyang had told him the truth: Jiang Sihan had moved out, evidenced by her missing slippers.

Feeling betrayed by the lie, Rui Rui was heartbroken. Cheng Mu apologized and promised that his first priority after finishing his work would be to bring Jiang Sihan back. That evening, Cheng Yu arrived to find Cheng Mu feeding a sad Rui Rui junk food. She reprimanded Cheng Mu for his poor parenting and revealed that she was also worried, as she couldn't reach Jiang Sihan for work.

Rui Rui, wanting to help, disclosed that he knew Jiang Sihan's home address and door passcode. Urged on by Cheng Yu, Cheng Mu rushed to Jiang Sihan's apartment. He found her severely ill with a high fever and immediately began caring for her. In her feverish state, Jiang Sihan hallucinated that Cheng Mu was by her side. She complained about seeing him even in her dreams and blamed him for her getting sick in the rain.

She then playfully teased that he would be cuter if he were gentler in real life, prompting him to ask if she was worried about him. Believing it was all a dream, she boldly declared that since they had already kissed before, she could touch him as she pleased.

Episode 5 Recap

Following his discovery of a feverish Jiang Sihan, Cheng Mu stays by her side to care for her. As she stirs, caught in a fever dream, she reaches out to touch his face, and the realness of the sensation startles her into full consciousness. Relieved to find him there but also that her apartment lease hasn't expired, she declares that her own humble home is best.

While she slept, Cheng Mu not only cleaned her messy room but also researched tips on how to win back an angry woman, learning that sweet words and consistent care are key. Before leaving for work, he leaves a note reminding her to eat and take her vitamins, having also replaced her expired medicine. Once recovered, Jiang Sihan's curiosity leads her to Sweet Patisserie, the competitor that supposedly stole Cheng Mu's ideas.

She is stunned to see mushroom-shaped desserts from Cheng Mu's notebook in their display case. To her greater surprise, the regional manager for the Sweet brand is Han Muzhou, her former class president and old crush. At the same time, Han Muzhou’s sister, Han Xianglan, newly returned from abroad, arrives at the shop. Finding the decor questionable, she focuses instead on her hobby: taking photos of handsome men to share with her friends.

Reuniting with Han Muzhou brings Jiang Sihan immense joy. As they chat, she learns he is no longer in contact with his past admirer, Li Mo. Han Muzhou confesses he had postponed dating until his career was established, which it now is, and reveals he specifically requested the transfer back to the country, implying he returned for her. Meanwhile, Cheng Mu’s colleagues at Sol spot Jiang Sihan at the rival shop, solidifying their belief that she is the leak.

Enraged, Cheng Mu storms out towards Sweet Patisserie. On the way, he accidentally bumps into Han Xianglan. Initially annoyed, her anger melts when she sees his handsome face. She playfully accuses him of a hit-and-run and asks for his contact information. In a rush, Cheng Mu gives her the address of his shop, Sol, and quickly leaves. When Cheng Mu arrives at Sweet, a flustered Jiang Sihan tries to explain she just happened to run into her class president.

Ignoring her, Cheng Mu confronts Han Muzhou about "copying and pasting" their dessert designs. Han Muzhou sarcastically asks if Cheng Mu is in a hurry to get back and cook for Rui Rui. To assert himself, Cheng Mu declares that Rui Rui is his son. Han Xianglan, who followed Cheng Mu, observes to her brother that the two don't seem married, which fuels her "shipping" enthusiasm.

Cheng Mu then turns his anger on Jiang Sihan, accusing her of leaking the recipe through a "side account." Deeply hurt that he would suspect her after she had rushed to bring him his notebook, Jiang Sihan vehemently denies the accusation and tells him she has no intention of forgiving him. Later, Cheng Mu coaxes Jiang Sihan into visiting by telling her Rui Rui isn't feeling well.

Though she doesn't intend to stay, Rui Rui's emotional plea and his refusal to live anywhere but with his godfather eventually convince her to move back in, restoring the house's cheerful atmosphere. Seeking to mend their relationship, Cheng Mu gets advice from his sister to be direct about his feelings and from an online acquaintance to "use his heart" by doing something meaningful together.

Heeding this, he and Jiang Sihan begin making desserts together for Rui Rui, who happily sends photos of their life to his mother. During a video call, Rui Rui’s father sees Cheng Mu’s happy demeanor in the photos and correctly guesses he has found someone special, encouraging him to pursue her.

However, he then gives Cheng Mu a cruel task: to ask Rui Rui whether he would rather live with him or his mother, a choice Cheng Mu feels is too painful to force upon a child. That night, Cheng Mu is plagued by a nightmare of his parents arguing and his father calling him a burden. He wakes in a cold sweat to find the room completely dark. Panicked, he fumbles for the night light.

Jiang Sihan, who had turned it off earlier, comes in to check on him. He explains that he always sleeps with the lights on, revealing a deep-seated fear of the dark. Realizing she unwittingly triggered his trauma, she apologizes.

Episode 6 Recap

After Jiang Sihan wakes up from her illness, she is back to her cheerful self. In the morning, she has already prepared breakfast and taken care of Rui Rui. She happily asks Cheng Mu for a ride, as she and Rui Rui are going to Sweet to meet her old class president. Cheng Mu's good mood instantly sours. He passive-aggressively invokes their cohabitation agreement, demanding to know where she is going and with whom.

Hearing her plan, he backs out of giving them a ride, claiming he suddenly doesn't have to work. After they leave, Cheng Mu mutters to himself, sarcastically questioning why she is so happy just to be meeting her class president. At his dessert shop, Sol, Cheng Mu's foul mood is evident as he spends the entire morning in the kitchen uncharacteristically cutting lemons.

His assistants gossip about his strange behavior and about Han Xianglan, who has been waiting for Cheng Mu since the morning. She is seen staring suspiciously at the kitchen. When Cheng Mu finally emerges, he feigns ignorance and instructs his assistant, Yihang, to handle her and ensure no one disturbs him. The staff recognizes Han Xianglan as the sister of Han Muzhou, the head of the rival shop Sweet.

Fearing she is there to steal their new ideas, Yihang is tasked with intercepting her. Declaring himself Cheng Mu's "official spokesperson," Yihang skillfully fends off Han Xianglan's attempts to get close to Cheng Mu, deflecting her questions about his personal life with work-related answers. Meanwhile, Jiang Sihan meets her class president, Muzhou, at a park, a location he thoughtfully chose so Rui Rui could play. Jiang Sihan directly confronts him about Sweet allegedly plagiarizing Sol's new dessert.

Muzhou presents a sample, acknowledging the similarities but insisting his company legally purchased the recipe, denying any plagiarism. When Jiang Sihan counters that she personally watched Cheng Mu develop it, Muzhou asks if anyone else saw the notebook containing the ideas, but she struggles to recall. He then probes about her relationship with Cheng Mu, and she clarifies they are only living together to care for Rui Rui.

Muzhou asks Jiang Sihan to promote Sweet as a food blogger, and she agrees. Their meeting is cut short when Rui Rui falls and injures his forehead. Upon receiving the call, a frantic Cheng Mu rushes to the hospital. There, a doctor mistakenly refers to Cheng Mu and Jiang Sihan as Rui Rui's parents.

After ensuring Rui Rui is okay, Cheng Mu pointedly has Jiang Sihan sit in the front passenger seat for the drive home, asserting his place as she apologizes to Muzhou over the phone for the accident. That night, distressed by the day's events, Cheng Mu drinks with his friend, Li Jingyang.

Li Jingyang quickly deduces that Cheng Mu is the secret protagonist in Jiang Sihan's blog stories and points to the rose crystal ball in his room as proof of his deep feelings. He chides Cheng Mu for his passivity, mocking him when he admits his last kiss with Jiang Sihan was a year ago, and warns him that his rival, Muzhou, is now making a move.

Cheng Mu, overwhelmed, retreats to bed, leaving Li Jingyang to muse on the perfect pairings of "Cheng Mu and Jiang Sihan" and "Cheng Yu and Li Jingyang." Elsewhere, Cheng Yu endures a tense business meeting with Mr. Shen, her ex-boyfriend. His company's contract is crucial for her firm's annual revenue, and he uses this leverage to pressure her for a dinner date as "compensation" for their breakup.

Mr. Shen remarks that she always prioritized her younger brother, Cheng Mu, even ending relationships he disliked. Cheng Yu firmly states that her brother's happiness comes before her own. Satisfied with her loyalty, Mr. Shen agrees to discuss the contract over coffee. Later, exhausted, Cheng Yu texts Li Jingyang that she misses him, but he has already passed out drunk and misses her message. Late that night, a tipsy Cheng Mu returns home to find Jiang Sihan awake.

He boldly kisses her, and the moment quickly becomes passionate. However, just as things are escalating, Rui Rui stirs in his room, breaking the spell and causing them to pull away. The next morning, a palpable awkwardness hangs between them. Trying to deflect, Cheng Mu claims he was simply drunk. To change the subject, Jiang Sihan suddenly announces she remembers giving her notebook—the one with Cheng Mu's dessert ideas—to their colleague Bai Bin, and suggests he ask him about it. Flustered, she then hurries away.

Episode 7 Recap

Li Jingyang woke up and discovered a withdrawn message from Cheng Yu on his phone. He immediately tried to call her, but she did not answer. Concerned, he went to her company. Her secretary, Xiao Shuang, informed him that Cheng Yu was out for dinner with Shen Menglin from Meida Group. Xiao Shuang revealed that Shen Menglin was Cheng Yu's ex-boyfriend, who was attempting to rekindle their relationship through a business collaboration, a situation that made Cheng Yu uncomfortable.

Li Jingyang obtained the restaurant address and hurried over. Meanwhile, at Cheng Mu’s dessert shop, staff discussed the fierce competition from "Sweet" and the recent leak of their new "Childhood" product recipe. Bai Bin, Cheng Mu’s employee, admitted to curiously looking at the recipe notebook and even making the dessert for his girlfriend, Weiwei, who critiqued it as "just so-so."

Li Jingyang arrived at the restaurant to find Shen Menglin, appearing intoxicated, aggressively pushing for a romantic relationship with Cheng Yu under the guise of discussing a five-year contract. Shen Menglin insisted he would treat Cheng Yu and her brother well. When Shen Menglin insulted Li Jingyang by calling him an "internet celebrity," Li Jingyang punched him. Cheng Yu then firmly declared an end to their business cooperation, stating she would manage her own brother's affairs.

Back at Cheng Yu's home, Li Jingyang apologized for hitting Shen Menglin, acknowledging him as a business partner despite his aggressive behavior. Cheng Yu dismissed his apology, called him "silly," and kissed him, admitting she had missed him. Their intimate moment was interrupted when Cheng Mu, who had been asleep on the sofa, stirred awake. Li Jingyang immediately offered to leave, and Cheng Yu told Cheng Mu to stay, leading to Li Jingyang’s hasty departure.

Cheng Mu then questioned Cheng Yu about his unannounced overnight visit. A flustered Cheng Mu confessed that he had consumed too much alcohol the previous night and kissed Jiang Sihan, now feeling awkward and unsure how to face her. Cheng Yu viewed this as positive news, advising him that a relationship should begin with a formal confession and flowers, stressing that an ambiguous start could lead to an unclear ending.

She probed if he was merely teasing Jiang Sihan, which he denied. Cheng Mu then tried to question Cheng Yu about her relationship with Li Jingyang, who dismissed him. Still at Cheng Yu's apartment, Cheng Mu later had a conversation with Li Jingyang, sternly warning him against hurting Cheng Yu and stressing her history of hard work. In return, Li Jingyang encouraged Cheng Mu to address his "panic disorder" regarding Jiang Sihan, whom he affectionately referred to as "Taro."

Back at his own home, Cheng Mu found Jiang Sihan working on her computer. The air between them was thick with unspoken tension from the previous night, leaving both flustered and unable to initiate conversation. Cheng Mu secretly consulted an online "Sweet Grandmaster" for advice. Simultaneously, Jiang Sihan, also seeking guidance, posed a hypothetical question to the "Grandmaster" online: "If a boy is drunk and kisses a girl, but there's no follow-up, what does it mean?"

Unbeknownst to her, Cheng Mu was the "Sweet Grandmaster." He replied that the boy "must like the girl." Jiang Sihan, still unaware, argued that this couldn't be true, as the boy's actions didn't suggest affection. She elaborated that if a boy liked a girl, he wouldn't always appear cold and would at least smile at her. Cheng Mu, reading her response, began to reflect on his own lack of expressive behavior towards her.

In other developments, Cheng Yu's agency analyzed the performance of Jiang Sihan's blog, "Taro Knows How to Eat," noting its good interaction but slowing growth. They also discussed Li Jingyang's current projects, including filming for a clothing brand with Tao Manman. His agent mentioned rejecting a movie offer due to low pay, but Cheng Yu requested to review the project plan and the producer’s contact information.

Li Jingyang himself was later heard making plans for a cleared day, mentioning a female friend’s birthday, leading to questions about his romantic life. Prompted by Jiang Sihan’s online commentary, Cheng Mu began practicing smiles in front of the mirror, resulting in an unsettlingly forced expression. The following morning, he attempted to maintain an awkward, continuous smile directed at Jiang Sihan. Rui Rui even commented that Cheng Mu's smile looked fake and "like a dummy."

Later, Jiang Sihan accidentally spotted Cheng Mu's phone, which revealed his "Sweet Grandmaster" account and her own blog interaction, "Taro Knows How to Eat." A message on the screen confirmed her dawning realization: Cheng Mu was the "Sweet Grandmaster," and he liked her.

Realizing the depth of Cheng Mu's feelings and recalling her own uninhibited behavior while staying at his house—including messy hair, applying face masks, and loudly eating fried dough sticks and soy milk—Jiang Sihan felt mortified and determined to present a more refined image. She immediately began cooking Cheng Mu's favorite rib soup.

Later, she insisted on doing the dishes, much to Rui Rui's astonishment, who recalled her usual aversion to the chore and her habit of leaving them for his "Godfather," Cheng Mu. Jiang Sihan laughed awkwardly at Rui Rui's observation. She then tried to take over the laundry, asserting her desire to help with household chores, but Cheng Mu attempted to prevent her, claiming she was not accustomed to his washing machine.

As they playfully struggled over the clothes, they both lost their footing and fell to the floor together, prompting Rui Rui to question their antics. Back at his dessert shop, Cheng Mu's staff discussed their new lemon-flavored dessert, playfully calling it the "sour taste of love," and expressed hope that "Sol" would win against "Sweet."

Later, Bai Bin approached Cheng Mu, confessing he wanted to resign due to his culpability in the "Childhood" new product leak, which impacted the shop's business. Cheng Mu confirmed that Bai Bin's ex-girlfriend, Weiwei, was indeed the one who sold the recipe to "Sweet" for money, leading to their breakup.

Cheng Mu reassured Bai Bin, reminding him of their partnership in building "Sol" and their differing business philosophy from "Sweet," emphasizing that they would always create better desserts as long as they persevered. He rejected Bai Bin's resignation and assigned him a crucial new task: spearheading the launch of their latest creation, "Sweet and Sour," a dessert characterized by a distinct lemon sourness with a subtle underlying sweetness.

Cheng Mu also instructed Bai Bin to provide more procurement tasks and financial support to Yihang, who appeared to be struggling financially. He then told Bai Bin that he must personally apologize to Jiang Sihan regarding the leaked recipe, clarifying that she was not involved.

Separately, Cheng Mu later spoke with Jiang Sihan directly about the recipe leak, reiterating that Bai Bin was responsible for accidentally sharing the recipe with his girlfriend, who then sold it, and that Jiang Sihan was completely uninvolved. He also playfully reminded her to always act like a lady.

Episode 8 Recap

Following the awkwardness of their previous encounter, Jingyang picks Cheng Yu up from work. He playfully declares that he is the only one allowed to take her home and reminisces about the "beautiful memories" they made, hoping for more. Cheng Yu deflects, saying she is going to her brother Cheng Mu's place to urge Jiang Sihan, whom she calls "Taro," to post a new article.

Upon arriving, Jingyang and Cheng Yu’s struggle with a stuck front door creates some suggestive noises. Once inside, they find Rui Rui, a disheveled Cheng Mu, and a flustered Jiang Sihan. Misinterpreting the situation, Cheng Yu quickly covers Rui Rui's eyes and decides to leave immediately. A bewildered Cheng Mu tries to explain, but Cheng Yu simply advises him to be more mindful of his volume next time before departing with Rui Rui.

Later, Jingyang teases Cheng Mu about his "time management," joking about having a "beauty in his arms" at night. Cheng Mu clarifies he has been staying up late developing desserts. Jingyang then brings up Cheng Yu’s upcoming birthday, stating he needs to plan it well and dismisses Cheng Mu’s opinions as unreliable, joking that he is "suited to be single forever." At Sol Dessert, Jiang Sihan arrives to try Cheng Mu’s new creation.

Cheng Mu, feeling awkward, initially suggests she focus on her work for "Sweet." However, his employee Wanjie serves her the new dessert, "Sweet and Sour." Wanjie apologizes to Jiang Sihan for previously misunderstanding and suspecting her, which she accepts gracefully. Curious, Jiang Sihan asks about the story behind the dessert. Meanwhile, she receives a notification about her article's declining data, which puts her minimum salary at risk and motivates her to write.

She presses Cheng Mu for the story, insisting his desserts always have one and that his involvement could boost her traffic. She refers to them as "a family," a statement an employee overhears and relays to Rui Rui, solidifying the staff's belief that Cheng Mu and Jiang Sihan are a couple. Reluctantly, Cheng Mu explains that the dessert represents love's complexity—a mix of sweetness and bitterness. Jiang Sihan teasingly asks if he's jealous, which he denies.

She then informs him she has a class reunion and asks him to look after Rui Rui, reminding him not to drink and muttering to herself that he is obviously jealous. After closing, Han Xianglan, who has been observing Cheng Mu for days, confesses her feelings and boldly asks him to be her boyfriend. Cheng Mu walks past her without a word. An employee, who overheard the exchange, tries to comfort the mortified Han Xianglan.

He offers her a dessert and tells her a couple of bad jokes, finally managing to make her smile. Jiang Sihan attends her class reunion, where the Class President admits he organized the event just to see her. Despite Cheng Mu's prior warning not to drink, she is persuaded by her classmates. Later, the Class President confesses his feelings, revealing he regretted not telling her before he went to study abroad a year ago.

He asks if she still likes him. In her drunken state, Jiang Sihan replies, "Yes. I like you. . . Cheng Mu." The disappointed Class President calls Cheng Mu to pick her up. Upon arriving, Cheng Mu confronts him for letting her drink so much and firmly states, "I'll definitely take care of her better than you do," before taking a drunk Jiang Sihan home.

On Cheng Yu’s birthday, Jingyang picks her up and discusses a potential acting role for Cheng Mu, emphasizing that he will only support it if Cheng Mu is genuinely interested. That evening, he takes Cheng Yu to the beach with a birthday cake. After she makes a wish, he attempts to time his proposal with a meteor shower he has planned.

The meteors fail to appear on cue, but he serenades her with "Happy Birthday" and earnestly asks her to be his girlfriend. Just as he finishes speaking, a meteor streaks across the sky. While Jingyang excitedly points it out, a touched Cheng Yu replies, "It's not important anymore," signifying his proposal means more to her than any grand gesture.

Episode 9 Recap

Jiang Sihan, feeling dizzy after drinking, refused to get into a car, so Cheng Mu had no choice but to carry her on his back. As they walked, Jiang Sihan mumbled that Sweet Grandmaster liked her and that she had found ironclad proof, thereby exposing Cheng Mu's secret. Cheng Mu then asked if she liked him back, but she fell fast asleep before he could get an answer.

Meanwhile, Li Jingyang affectionately declared his joy that Cheng Yu had finally accepted him as her girlfriend. Cheng Yu, despite their intimate moments, reminded him to keep their relationship a secret, especially from her brother, Cheng Mu. She explained that Cheng Mu always got upset when she started dating, and she didn't want him to feel abandoned. Li Jingyang, acknowledging he was still in a "probation period," eagerly agreed to follow her instructions.

On another occasion, Cheng Mu and Jiang Sihan took Rui Rui out. While at the supermarket, a girl approached Cheng Mu, asking if he played Honor of King and suggesting they add each other on WeChat. Just then, Rui Rui cleverly called Cheng Mu "Dad," causing the girl to quickly retreat. Observing Cheng Mu's continued popularity, Jiang Sihan remarked on how attractive he was and playfully lamented that she was "destined to be alone" due to her lack of courage.

She then gave Cheng Mu her hair tie, calling it a "great protection tool," urging him to wear it on his wrist to ward off admirers. Jiang Sihan received a message about Rui Rui. His school was starting soon, and someone would be picking him up in a week, meaning he couldn't stay with Cheng Mu and Jiang Sihan any longer.

Feeling a potential shift in her living arrangements and the need for more financial stability, Jiang Sihan asked Cheng Mu if she could learn how to make desserts from him. She explained her plan to open a new segment to teach her fans. Cheng Mu readily agreed, often allowing his dessert shop employees to leave work early afterward. At the dessert shop, a new product called "Sunshine Rose" was well-received, but "Miss Moon" remained the most popular.

There was a suggestion to increase the daily supply of "Miss Moon," but Cheng Mu firmly rejected it. He explained that "Miss Moon" was made fresh daily, and increasing production by freezing would compromise its taste. He stressed that reputation was paramount and every customer deserved the freshest, best quality dessert. He then announced that their shop had reclaimed its spot as the city's top popular dessert destination, and in appreciation for everyone's hard work, he dismissed them early.

His employees speculated that their boss was likely busy pursuing Jiang Sihan. Han Xianglan, a frequent visitor to the dessert shop, nearly fell from a sofa while taking pictures, but Jian Yihang swiftly caught her. Impressed by his handsomeness, she declared that he had saved her and she needed to repay him. Later, she approached Jian Yihang again, stating that she no longer liked Cheng Mu but had developed feelings for him instead.

Despite his protests, she insisted he was now her boyfriend and made him carry her bags. Other staff members noticed her new pursuit, commenting on Jian Yihang's appeal and musing that he would soon fall for her. One employee, however, stated that their boss, Cheng Mu, only had eyes for desserts and that not just anyone could enter his kitchen, implicitly suggesting that Jiang Sihan was already special to him.

Meanwhile, Li Jingyang, ever enthusiastic, brought a banner listing "100 things couples must do," intending to complete them all with Cheng Yu. Cheng Yu found it childish but secretly enjoyed his antics. Their playful banter was interrupted by an unexpected visit from Cheng Mu. Cheng Yu quickly hid the banner and a package from Li Jingyang.

She then pulled out a scented candle from the package and gave it to Cheng Mu, encouraging him to take action and confess his feelings to "Taro," a nickname used for Jiang Sihan. Cheng Yu also shared her personal insight with Cheng Mu, saying he might not be good at expressing himself but that he treated Jiang Sihan differently and encouraged him not to give up.

Later that evening, after Rui Rui had fallen asleep, Cheng Mu lit numerous pink scented candles, creating a romantic ambiance. He suggested they watch a movie, perhaps a romantic one, while nervously fumbling over his words. Jiang Sihan noticed the candles and his demeanor, immediately wondering if he was about to confess. As she contemplated moving closer, Rui Rui suddenly cried out, waking from a nightmare.

He tearfully recounted dreaming that his parents were gone and that they didn't want him, believing he was a burden. Cheng Mu and Jiang Sihan immediately comforted him, assuring him it was just a bad dream and that his parents loved him dearly.

Episode 10 Recap

Rui Rui dreamed that his parents had abandoned him, waking up crying and calling for them. Cheng Mu was deeply saddened by Rui Rui's dream, recalling his own childhood nightmares where his mother often belittled him, calling him a burden. This led him to believe every parental argument was his fault, a painful memory that continued to haunt him.

Cheng Mu received a phone call from Zhou Ming, Rui Rui's father, who confirmed that he and Rui Rui's mother had reconciled and would soon pick Rui Rui up. Cheng Mu grew anxious, realizing he would no longer live with Jiang Sihan. The next day, Rui Rui, however, was already planning.

He told Cheng Mu he was leaving soon and was worried about him, asking if Cheng Mu intended to die alone because he was "boring" and couldn't win Jiang Sihan back that way. Rui Rui then suggested he could help. He revealed that Jiang Sihan had been feeling lonely and wanted Cheng Mu to be her boyfriend. He urged Cheng Mu to confess soon, warning that she might get together with Uncle Han otherwise.

Rui Rui then volunteered to wake Jiang Sihan up, fabricating a story that Cheng Mu had been saying he felt lonely and wanted her to be his girlfriend, and that he planned to ask her out and likely confess that very day. Jiang Sihan was surprised but pleased, wondering if she should get ready and dress nicely. Rui Rui also informed Cheng Mu that Jiang Sihan was eager to go out with him and would like any place he chose.

To give them space, Rui Rui announced he would spend the day playing with Cheng Yu. Later, Rui Rui was seen with Li Jingyang at his workplace. Li Jingyang joked that Cheng Mu, whom he called "the heartless one," had gone on a date with Jiang Sihan, finding it hard to believe. Colleagues in the office were already gossiping about Cheng Mu's sudden romantic initiative, noting that their "Boss" (Cheng Mu) was asking for date ideas in the group chat.

They mentioned that Cheng Mu had been preparing a new dessert called "Confession" for a long time, leading them to believe he was finally making a move on Jiang Sihan. Rui Rui confirmed that it was thanks to him that Cheng Mu and Jiang Sihan were finally out on a date.

Li Jingyang, impressed by Rui Rui's cuteness, playfully suggested to Cheng Yu that with their good genes, they should consider having a child together, confirming to Rui Rui that they were indeed dating. Cheng Yu then playfully scolded Li Jingyang to get back to work, which he enthusiastically did, claiming he was earning money for their future baby. Cheng Mu and Jiang Sihan's date began at an archery range.

Cheng Mu, surprisingly adept, offered to teach Jiang Sihan, who eventually hit a bullseye. When Jiang Sihan expressed tiredness, Cheng Mu suddenly took her to a boxing gym. He passionately explained boxing as a sport that was not just physical but also required a lot of thought and strategy. Jiang Sihan, clearly uncomfortable with the intensity, quickly gave up, finding the idea of boxing on a date unusual. Cheng Mu, noticing her discomfort, decided they should do something "more artistic."

They next went to a steakhouse for a romantic candlelit dinner, where Cheng Mu personally played the guitar and sang love songs for Jiang Sihan. Jiang Sihan was happy and thanked Cheng Mu, commenting that she hadn't known this side of him. During dinner, the restaurant experienced a brief power outage. In the dark, Jiang Sihan encouraged Cheng Mu to say whatever he wanted.

He confessed that he was very happy with her and hoped she could get to know more different sides of him. When she asked if that was all, he hastily added that he had many other skills he hadn't shown her and offered to demonstrate them another time. Jiang Sihan, clearly disappointed by the non-confession, agreed to the next time but seemed dejected. They then left to pick up Rui Rui.

On the way home, Jiang Sihan spoke to her mother on the phone, assuring her that her work was going well. She later confided in Cheng Mu that her parents were unaware she was a food blogger, viewing it as not a "real job," and that she feared they would force her to return home if they knew.

She explained that she pursued it out of simple passion, which later evolved into a sense of responsibility as her writing helped heal and encourage many people. After Rui Rui was asleep, Jiang Sihan expressed how much she would miss him. Cheng Mu shared the sentiment, praising his sister's good genes.

He then reassured Jiang Sihan about Zhou Ming, stating that despite his quiet nature, he was a responsible person who worked hard to provide for his family and would prove himself through action. Jiang Sihan pondered that some things need to be said aloud; otherwise, others would never know. Cheng Mu later returned to his dessert notebook, sketching and planning, still perfecting his "Confession" cake.

Meanwhile, at a film set, Tao Manman, a female artist under Cheng Yu, approached Li Jingyang, feigning an eye injury and asking him to blow on it. After he tried to help, she attempted to kiss him, claiming her previous lack of response was a mistake regarding his supposed feelings for her.

Li Jingyang was taken aback, denying he had ever expressed feelings for her or wanted to pursue her, stating emphatically that his heart only had room for one person. Undeterred, Tao Manman threatened to post a video of their interaction online, accusing him of being a "scumbag" who had bullied her and had long-standing improper intentions, warning that it would ruin his career as a popular star if he didn't agree to be her boyfriend.

Just then, Cheng Yu arrived to pick up Li Jingyang. Li Jingyang tried to explain the situation to Cheng Yu. Cheng Yu, unfazed, calmly revealed that she had also recorded the entire exchange on her phone. She then turned Tao Manman's threat back on her, asking how a popular female model would develop her career if the video were released. Tao Manman panicked, profusely apologized, and immediately deleted her video, promising never to appear before them again.

After Tao Manman left, Li Jingyang praised Cheng Yu for her quick thinking and protective actions. Cheng Yu jokingly said she would have to think about how to punish him for getting into such a situation. Li Jingyang playfully suggested his punishment be to never leave her. The next morning, Rui Rui asked Cheng Mu about his date with Jiang Sihan, disappointed that he still hadn't confessed.

Cheng Mu tried to explain that confession was a serious matter that couldn't be rushed, and Jiang Sihan wouldn't be happy with a casual confession. Rui Rui countered that Jiang Sihan hadn't left the house all day, implying she was unhappy. Deciding to take matters into his own hands, Rui Rui found Jiang Sihan, insisting she take him out since he was leaving soon and hadn't gone out with her yet. Cheng Mu tried to intervene, saying Jiang Sihan was busy, but Rui Rui persisted, leading to them taking a photo together, hinting at their bond.

Episode 11 Recap

In the evening, Jiang Sihan and Cheng Mu helped Rui Rui pack his belongings as he was returning home the following day. Rui Rui, in his childlike voice, announced that his parents had reconciled and expressed his hope to play with Jiang Sihan and Cheng Mu’s future child the next time he visited. Jiang Sihan chuckled at the boy's earnestness.

After taking Rui Rui to the airport the next day, Jiang Sihan sat anxiously on the sofa, realizing Cheng Mu hadn't formally acknowledged their relationship. She brought up that it was time for her to move out soon, mentioning she had already canceled her previous lease and would need to stay a bit longer until she found a new place.

Cheng Mu, misinterpreting her mention of moving as a desire to distance herself, awkwardly told her she could continue staying and to let him know when she planned to move so he could help. Sensing his hesitation and misinterpreting his offer as a subtle hint for her to leave, Jiang Sihan retorted that she would hire a moving company herself. Later, Cheng Yu, Cheng Mu’s sister, confronted him, expressing surprise that Jiang Sihan was already "sick" of him.

She even suggested that Jiang Sihan consider Mr. Liu, a man who had previously shown interest in her sister. Cheng Mu was annoyed by the mention of Mr. Liu, but Cheng Yu pressed him on why he hadn't stopped Jiang Sihan from moving. Cheng Mu admitted he merely told her she could continue staying, to which Cheng Yu expressed her frustration, likening his inaction to an amateur's play.

She urged him to openly express his true feelings, but Cheng Mu stated he was afraid of holding Jiang Sihan back, citing his own complex situation. Cheng Yu countered that such concerns were trivial, going as far as to suggest that loving someone meant "holding them hostage." She warned him that if he didn't act, he would be left to cry while someone else claimed Jiang Sihan.

Cheng Mu maintained that his decision was made to spare Jiang Sihan from his burdens, given her unawareness of his situation. Jingyang, who was present, commented on the siblings' contrasting approaches to love: Cheng Yu dared not face it, while Cheng Mu dared not embrace it. That evening, Jiang Sihan confided in her sister during a video call, admitting she was unsure of Cheng Mu’s feelings due to his inconsistent behavior.

Her sister encouraged her to be proactive, reminding her that taking the initiative in love was perfectly fine. She advised Jiang Sihan to create some distance between them, believing that if Cheng Mu truly cared, he would return to her. Meanwhile, Han Xianglan was looking for Jian Yihang, learning from his colleagues that he had taken a day off due to a personal matter. Suspecting he might be avoiding her, she obtained his address and went to find him.

On her way, she witnessed Jian Yihang being beaten by debt collectors. She bravely intervened, verbally confronting the men and warning them she had called the police, which made them back off. When she asked Jian Yihang why he didn't fight back, he retorted that he deserved it for owing them money and told her to mind her own business. Han Xianglan declared she would pay off his debts and spontaneously asked him to be her boyfriend.

When he refused, she dramatically feigned dizziness and low blood sugar, prompting Jian Yihang to carry her back home in a princess carry. Later, among Jian Yihang’s friends, Han Xianglan playfully confirmed she was his girlfriend, even though she had lightly hit him in frustration earlier. The friends teased Jian Yihang, remarking on his popularity. Driven to perfect his new dessert, named "Encounter" by Jiang Sihan, Cheng Mu worked tirelessly in the bakery.

His employee suggested expanding the business due to the success of Sweet's new branch and the growing popularity of local fishing villages as tourist attractions. However, Cheng Mu refused, prioritizing quality control and employee training over immediate expansion. Despite his dedication to his work, Cheng Mu grappled with deep-seated issues stemming from his tumultuous childhood. He saw marriage as a confinement, marred by the endless arguments he witnessed between his parents, fearing he would repeat their cycle of conflict.

Jingyang once commented on Cheng Mu's reservations, noting that unlike his sister who was afraid to confront love, Cheng Mu was afraid to love at all. Late one night, after returning home, Cheng Mu paused outside Jiang Sihan's room, wanting to confess his feelings, but childhood traumas held him back from knocking. Jiang Sihan, hearing his retreating footsteps, felt another wave of disappointment, acutely aware that their time together was running short.

The next morning, Jiang Sihan found a note from Cheng Mu stating he had stepped out, unsure of his return. This amplified her doubts about his feelings. When Cheng Yu visited, Jiang Sihan expressed her confusion and even her intent to take a leave of absence to clear her head. Cheng Yu reassured her, emphasizing that Cheng Mu had never valued anyone as much as he did Jiang Sihan, but admitted he needed time to overcome his inner struggles.

While tidying up, Jiang Sihan discovered Cheng Mu's notebook. Reading his entries, she learned of his deep loneliness and quiet struggles, how desserts became his solace, and his strong bond with his sister. She realized he often visited the beach to cope with his past sorrows. Her heart ached for his solitary journey, wishing she had met him sooner to alleviate his burdens.

At the beach, Jiang Sihan encountered her college class president, who had opened a new branch of Sweet. The president invited her to promote his new store, acknowledging her growing online presence as a future influencer. Jiang Sihan accepted, seeing it as an opportunity. She informed Cheng Yu of her decision to move out of Cheng Mu's place and take up the promotion, believing that some distance might help clarify their feelings.

Upon receiving Jiang Sihan’s message, Cheng Yu grew anxious, declaring to Jingyang that their "sister-in-law" was about to "run away" and she needed to "catch her back." She quickly rallied Jingyang to drive her to Jiang Sihan, determined to share the full extent of Cheng Mu’s past experiences and struggles with her. As they arrived, Cheng Yu immediately told Jiang Sihan that she had something important to reveal about Cheng Mu.

Episode 12 Recap

Upon learning from Cheng Yu that Cheng Mu suffers from depression and panic disorder, and that he hesitated to confess to her for fear of being a burden, Jiang Sihan expresses her shock. Cheng Yu clarifies that she isn't sharing this for pity, but for Jiang Sihan to understand Cheng Mu's reasons and to consider if she can truly accept a partner with such conditions, urging her not to give up on him so soon.

Jiang Sihan asks for time to think. Seeing that Cheng Yu has said enough, Li Jingyang gently pulls her away to give Jiang Sihan space. Cheng Yu protests, insisting she must help her brother secure Jiang Sihan, as Cheng Mu has endured so much and finally found someone who makes him feel alive again. Li Jingyang reassures her, stating that Cheng Mu is an adult capable of making his own decisions, and that everything will ultimately work out.

Cheng Mu seeks guidance from his Master, asking for the meaning of a lived life. His Master prompts him to consider his own reasons for living, to which Cheng Mu replies that he doesn't want his sister to be sad. He elaborates that being with a particular person brings him a mix of happiness, jealousy, sadness, and profound clarity.

He admits his fear of confessing to her stems from the worry that she might accept him, believing that as a "half candle" – someone whose life might unexpectedly diminish due to illness – he would be unfair to her. The Master then shares his own poignant story: as a young, ambitious entrepreneur, he lost everything in a fraudulent business deal and fell critically ill.

He recounts leaving his fiancée a breakup letter and moving out overnight, never revealing his illness, because her parents deemed him useless and he believed she deserved a better life. He spent years in a hospital, and later learned his fiancée had married and had a child, which he initially saw as a good outcome. However, upon returning home, his parents presented him with a thick stack of letters from her.

Initially confused, then filled with pleas and grievances, her letters eventually expressed deep hatred for him. The Master explains that she knew about his illness but resented him for making choices on her behalf, for disregarding her feelings, and for selfishly taking away her right to love him, repeatedly asking, "Who do you think you are?" He emphasizes that such actions are not love, but self-pity and cowardice disguised as benevolence, demonstrating a profound disrespect for another's fundamental rights.

Cheng Mu, deeply moved by this revelation, declares that he must speak to Jiang Sihan and decides to create a new dessert he names "Confession." Meanwhile, Jiang Sihan meets her former crush, the Class President, at the beach. She reveals that a year prior, she had planned to confess her four-year crush to him with a love letter, but hesitated upon hearing he was going abroad.

Under the influence of alcohol, she attempted to confess anyway to put an end to her feelings, but mistakenly confessed to someone else. She admits she never anticipated that this person would become so vital to her. She tells the Class President that she can even discern Cheng Mu's emotions – his happiness, sadness, and complex yet simple nature – through the desserts he creates, finding it magical.

While acknowledging her past feelings for him, she states that it's time to move on and look forward. The Class President expresses his regret for missing out on her but wishes her a happier future. Jiang Sihan then affirms her resolute decision: she is certain she wants Cheng Mu in her future, and immediately returns home. Inspired by his Master's story, Cheng Mu realizes he cannot let fear prevent him from pursuing Jiang Sihan.

He immediately visits Dr. Lin, requesting another reduction in his medication dosage. He reports that his relapses have been infrequent and increasingly controllable over the past year, often managing to stabilize his condition independently. Dr. Lin agrees to a further reduction, suggesting that if his condition remains stable, they could consider stopping the medication entirely. He cautions Cheng Mu to control his emotions to avoid a severe relapse.

Cheng Mu then calls his sister, Cheng Yu, to announce his decision to live a normal life. He tells her that if Jiang Sihan believes he is worth it, he has no reason not to believe in himself. Cheng Yu is visibly emotional and deeply supportive of his courageous step. Upon Jiang Sihan's arrival home, Cheng Mu calls, and upon learning she has arrived, he rushes to meet her, feeling overwhelmed with joy at the sight of her.

He begins to explain his improved health condition and his discussions with Dr. Lin. However, Jiang Sihan interrupts him, revealing that Cheng Yu has already informed her of his situation. She then confesses her feelings for him, saying, "Cheng Mu, I like you." She clarifies that her fear isn't of his illness, but of his self-defeating assumption that she would abandon him.

She asks if he truly believes she would, and he firmly replies, "No." With their mutual feelings confirmed, Jiang Sihan invites him home. They share a tender moment, playfully discussing how close they should be. The experience is likened to biting into a soft mousse, plunging into a sweet trap of refreshing lychee and addictive peach flavors.

The narrative concludes by advising that if one encounters someone who brings such comfort and joy, akin to the pleasure of dessert, they should not hesitate or doubt, but bravely confess their love and embrace it. Cheng Mu later sends Jiang Sihan a message, expressing how much he misses her.

Episode 13 Recap

After Cheng Mu confessed his feelings, he began picking Jiang Sihan up from work daily. Cheng Yu, observing the sweet dynamic between her brother and Jiang Sihan, remarked on how quickly their relationship was progressing. Jiang Sihan's recent article, "May I win your heart," written for the new dessert promotion, had been exceptionally well-received, causing her fan count to surge. She was now only 200,000 followers shy of her goal of one million.

Cheng Yu, as Jiang Sihan's boss, informed her that the company had secured several new brand deals. Considering Jiang Sihan's situation, Cheng Yu had taken the initiative to decline three out-of-town opportunities in favor of two even better local ones. After discussing work, Cheng Yu, eager to delve into Jiang Sihan's personal life, asked about the beginning of her relationship with Cheng Mu and suggested they talk over dinner.

However, Cheng Yu then received a call from Jingyang and swiftly excused herself, leading to a humorous observation that she was holding her phone upside down. Meanwhile, Jian Yihang and Han Xianglan's relationship continued to unfold, with Han Xianglan consistently accompanying him. While distributing flyers under the scorching sun, Han Xianglan complained to Jian Yihang about the heat and his lack of a smile, highlighting her dedication despite his aloofness.

Jian Yihang merely questioned if she could even get a sunburn. She then jokingly offered to help him further, asking if he was afraid of the sun, which he denied. Their colleagues, Ning and Wan Jie, were also distributing flyers, expressing their exasperation. Wan Jie even threatened to call Cheng Mu to "discipline Jian Yihang" and make him suffer too.

It was at this moment that Cheng Mu arrived, holding Jiang Sihan's hand, exhibiting open affection that startled Ning and Wan Jie. They commented on Cheng Mu's transformation from an "aloof god" to a "doting husband," expressing their envy and joking about finding their own partners. This contrasted sharply with Jian Yihang's distant behavior towards Han Xianglan. Jiang Sihan's parents were increasingly worried as she hadn't been answering their calls, only replying with messages.

Her father chastised her mother for spoiling their daughters, one of whom was abroad, while Jiang Sihan had gone to a big city, making them hard to reach. Despite their attempts to arrange stable jobs, the daughters had pursued their own paths. Jiang Sihan, after a call with her mother, was shocked to learn her parents were coming to visit. She frantically called Cheng Mu, exclaiming she was "doomed."

She confessed that she had been lying to them, claiming to be an accountant, when in fact she was now a blogger. She desperately pleaded with Cheng Mu to keep her secret, fearing her parents would force her to return home. Cheng Mu offered to accompany her to pick them up, expressing his readiness to meet her parents and pointing out that since she had canceled her previous apartment lease, they would surely want to see where she was living.

Upon their arrival, Jiang Sihan's parents were impressed by the size of her living space, though her mother still commented on Jiang Sihan's untidiness. Cheng Mu had thoughtfully prepared a guest room for them. Jiang Sihan then surprised her parents by introducing Cheng Mu not just as a friend of her brother-in-law, Zhou Ming, but as her boyfriend.

Her parents were initially taken aback, but Cheng Mu clarified that they were sleeping in separate rooms, as their relationship was still new. Jiang Sihan's mother then acknowledged Cheng Mu's prior help in caring for Rui Rui, to which Cheng Mu confirmed, affectionately referring to Rui Rui as his godson. Jiang Sihan's father, frustrated by his daughter's reticence and reliance on others, pulled her aside for a private conversation. After they returned, the father inquired about Cheng Mu's profession.

Cheng Mu humbly stated he ran a small dessert shop and invited them to visit. He also shared that his parents had passed away young and his sister, Cheng Yu, had raised him. Jiang Sihan's mother then discreetly questioned Jiang Sihan about her own work, prompting Jiang Sihan to lie, claiming she was a financial manager at Cheng Yu's company, emphasizing her good salary and Cheng Yu's care.

Her father seized the opportunity to deliver a stern lecture, stressing the importance of stable employment and vehemently advising against becoming a freelancer or blogger, citing their instability, lack of social security, and uncertainty. Feigning agreement, Jiang Sihan quickly used her "work responsibilities" as an excuse to leave, claiming she was indispensable to the company. Later, she confided in Cheng Mu that her parents' visit felt more like a "spot-check," reiterating the absolute necessity of maintaining her secret.

She recalled her father's intense disapproval when she first expressed a desire to be a blogger, forcing her to lie about finding a finance job to appease him. Despite Cheng Mu's suggestion that her parents might prioritize her well-being over her career choice, Jiang Sihan insisted on their desire for a "stable job" and implored him to continue the deception. Separately, Han Xianglan intervened when debt collectors confronted Jian Yihang yet again.

Driven by her concern, she took his phone, obtained the QR code, and immediately transferred money to pay off his entire debt, sternly warning the collectors to leave him alone. One of the collectors, impressed by her appearance, flirted with her and suggested she leave Jian Yihang for him, claiming he also enjoyed "freeloading." Han Xianglan vehemently rejected him, threatening him with severe consequences if he dared to tell Jian Yihang about her actions.

Intimidated, the collector promised silence and left. Jian Yihang, however, was visibly upset and felt deeply self-conscious that Han Xianglan had paid his debt, asserting his ability to handle his own problems and telling her not to interfere. He also stated that only he was allowed to bully her. Han Xianglan, confused by his unhappiness despite her helpfulness, pressed him for the reason behind his substantial debt.

Jian Yihang revealed that the money was borrowed for his mother's serious illness a few years prior, and he had been too embarrassed to ask Cheng Mu, who was already very generous, for more financial assistance. He then coldly informed Han Xianglan that they should not meet again until he had fully repaid her, regardless of her agreement. Deeply hurt, Han Xianglan feigned indifference, claiming she didn't care to see him either.

Returning home, a visibly upset Han Xianglan, resembling a pufferfish in her anger, recounted the incident to her brother, asking him to explain men's mindsets. She expressed her frustration that after helping Jian Yihang repay his debt out of genuine concern, he had refused to see her until he could repay her. Her brother clarified that she had misunderstood the situation, explaining that a man's pride is formidable.

Jian Yihang was already deeply embarrassed by her witnessing his vulnerable state, and her act of repaying his debt was an unbearable blow to his self-esteem. Thus, he was not avoiding her out of dislike, but because he couldn't face her. Han Xianglan then pressed her brother on whether he believed Jian Yihang liked her, to which he playfully responded with an ambiguous "I don't know" before confirming, "definitely."

He then urged her to stop playing and focus on getting serious. While helping to unpack items Jiang Sihan had sent, her parents discovered a box among her belongings that they hadn't sent and was clearly not food. Both grew concerned upon realizing it contained medication for depression, initially fearing their daughter was ill. However, their fears shifted when they saw Cheng Mu's name clearly printed on the express delivery box.

The next day, Jiang Sihan went to Cheng Yu's company, explaining she had nowhere else to go as she needed to maintain the charade of being a financial manager for her visiting parents. Cheng Yu advised her to eventually have an honest conversation with them. Later that evening, Cheng Yu hosted Jiang Sihan's parents for dinner at an upscale restaurant, treating it as an early family gathering with Cheng Mu.

At the dinner, Cheng Yu formally introduced herself to Jiang Sihan's parents as Cheng Mu's sister and Jiang Sihan's boss, praising Jiang Sihan's strong work abilities. She had arranged an elaborate meal, which delighted the parents. Jiang Sihan's parents were pleased and encouraged Cheng Mu to eat. Jiang Sihan, ever attentive, gently reminded her mother that Cheng Mu didn't like spicy food. As they all toasted to the enjoyable dinner, Jiang Sihan's mother quietly leaned in and asked Cheng Yu if Cheng Mu had depression.

Episode 14 Recap

Jiang Sihan's mother, referred to as Auntie, initiated a conversation with Cheng Yu, expressing concern after she and her husband accidentally saw Cheng Mu's medication. Auntie asked if Cheng Mu had depression, assuring Cheng Yu that they were not old-fashioned and understood the pressures young people face. Cheng Yu confirmed that her brother had mild depression and panic disorder, but emphasized his condition was stable and promised Cheng Mu would never harm Jiang Sihan.

Auntie believed her and asked Cheng Yu to continue looking after Jiang Sihan, which Cheng Yu readily accepted. Later that evening, Jingyang, excited to deepen his relationship with Cheng Yu, tried to surprise her by placing an engagement ring on her finger while she slept. Cheng Yu woke up and made it clear she was content with their current arrangement.

Jingyang, feeling that Cheng Mu and Jiang Sihan were moving forward, pressed Cheng Yu for a proper commitment, frustrated by being her "secret boyfriend." Cheng Yu explained her hesitation, revealing her deep concern that if Jiang Sihan were to leave Cheng Mu for any reason, he would be left alone again, and she simply could not abandon him.

Feeling like a "toy" to Cheng Yu, humored when she was happy and cast aside when she was not, Jingyang gave her an ultimatum. When Cheng Yu left, he challenged Cheng Mu to meet him at a boxing gym. Drunk and full of resentment, Jingyang summoned Cheng Mu to the boxing gym. Cheng Mu was baffled by Jingyang's erratic behavior, but Jingyang, in his inebriated state, accused Cheng Mu of being selfish.

Jingyang revealed that Cheng Mu had once asked Cheng Yu to "stay single, don't date, don't get married, stay by my side forever," causing her to reject many over the years. Jingyang passionately argued that while everyone indulged Cheng Mu due to his illness, no one considered the feelings of others, especially Cheng Yu, who also lost her parents. After Jingyang passed out, Cheng Mu thoughtfully covered him with a jacket.

Reflecting on Jingyang's words, Cheng Mu realized the truth in them: losing their parents years ago had deeply impacted Cheng Yu too, forcing her to mature prematurely and bear the heavy burden of their family. The next day, Cheng Mu visited Cheng Yu, who had a bruised mouth from the encounter with Jingyang. The siblings had a long-overdue heart-to-heart.

Cheng Mu confessed that he had hated Cheng Yu as an eight-year-old when she went to boarding school, feeling abandoned and alone in the quiet house. Cheng Yu apologized for his past pain and promised she would "never abandon" him again. Cheng Mu expressed deep regret for having burdened her and making her feel obligated to sacrifice her own happiness, even bringing her to tears about breaking up with someone she liked.

He urged her to pursue her feelings for Jingyang, even if it meant "dumping him in the future." As a gesture of his support, he offered her a cake he had made, aptly named "Coexist." Meanwhile, Jiang Sihan, checking on Cheng Mu late at night, found him icing his injured mouth. Concerned, she asked to stay with him, and he agreed. The following morning, Jiang Sihan's parents were astonished to see their daughter emerge from Cheng Mu's room.

Her mother immediately interrogated her, but Jiang Sihan, flustered and embarrassed, struggled to explain, eventually blurting out that they "just slept together," which only further inflamed her mother's anger. Her father quickly intervened to de-escalate the situation. Later, Jingyang woke up in the boxing gym to a flurry of messages from colleagues congratulating him on "getting the cold, domineering CEO so quickly." Overjoyed, he discovered a selfie with Cheng Yu posted on "Yu's Moments," confirming their reconciliation.

Jiang Sihan called Cheng Mu, complaining about her embarrassment in front of her parents and playfully urging Cheng Mu to "beat up" Jingyang again for injuring his handsome face. Jingyang then arrived at Cheng Mu's dessert shop to apologize for his drunken behavior and selfishness. Cheng Mu accepted the apology, stating it was for his sister's sake, and playfully allowed Jingyang to give him a light punch, declaring the score settled.

Cheng Mu then solemnly entrusted Cheng Yu to Jingyang's care, telling him not to hurt her or make her sad. Jingyang, eager to be called "Brother-in-law," promised to treat Cheng Yu well. Cheng Mu then humorously reminded Jingyang about his "saved money," advising him not to hide it when he proposed to Cheng Yu. At home, Jiang Sihan's parents expressed concern over her unkempt habits.

Her father, while cleaning, found her financial statements, realizing how "frugal" she had been living, despite telling them she was doing well. Jiang Sihan tearfully confessed that she had actually quit her accounting job a long time ago and was working as a food blogger, admitting she had lied because she feared their disapproval. To her surprise, her parents revealed they already knew, having seen her social media account.

Cheng Mu then spoke up, passionately defending Jiang Sihan's choice, explaining how her eyes lit up when she talked about her work and how it gave her a "sense of accomplishment," much like his own journey with his dessert business. He argued that in their city, people would not starve regardless of their profession, and it was better to pursue what one loved than to live for "others' eyes" or "material things" at the cost of one's true self.

Moved by his words and their daughter's passion, Jiang Sihan's parents apologized for their inexperience as parents, admitting they had neglected her feelings in their attempt to give her the best. They gave her a new laptop, promising to provide "necessities" for her chosen path, though they did warn her that if blogging didn't work out, she would still need to find a stable job.

That evening, Jiang Sihan's mother playfully doted on Cheng Mu, calling him the most important and joking about wishing he was her son instead. Though Jiang Sihan was slightly miffed, the family shared a warm meal. Her parents announced they had booked tickets to leave the next day, explaining they missed their old neighbors. Despite Jiang Sihan's pleas for them to stay, they encouraged her and Cheng Mu to visit them often.

Jiang Sihan tearfully hugged her mother, who playfully suggested she could just come home with them, to which Jiang Sihan replied she preferred to visit. Her father remarked that they should start preparing her "dowry," signaling their full acceptance of her future. They all raised their cups, toasting to successful careers and good health for everyone.

Episode 15 Recap

At Cheng Yu's home, Li Jingyang knelt in punishment, a thick dictionary balanced on his head, after a drunken outburst that disregarded Cheng Mu's condition and led to him hitting Cheng Mu. Though he complained of pain, Li Jingyang was secretly pleased, having gained official recognition in his relationship with Cheng Yu. Cheng Yu sternly reminded him of Cheng Mu's importance, warning that if anything had happened to her brother because of him, their relationship would have been over.

Li Jingyang swore it was a one-time incident and promised to take responsibility for Cheng Mu alongside her from then on. Cheng Mu unveiled his latest dessert creation, aptly named "Home." Inspired by the warmth he experienced from Jiang Sihan and her family, Cheng Mu sought to create a dessert that reflected the comfort of home.

He explained that "Home" combined diverse fruits like strawberries, blueberries, oranges, and mulberries, symbolizing how unique individuals come together to form a complete whole, striking the heart's softest spot where loved ones reside. Jiang Sihan, having helped promote the new dessert with a beautifully written online article, playfully demanded a reward. Cheng Mu joked that he would give himself to her, adding that she was already his.

He assured her that supporting her was easy, as a single dessert could bring her such joy. Jiang Sihan, focused on her burgeoning career as a blogger, aimed to achieve millions of followers, buoyed by her parents' support. The sweet shop workers observed a noticeable change in Cheng Mu. They remarked that he had started slacking off more, smiling increasingly each day, a stark contrast to his previous demeanor as a "dessert machine without feelings."

They concluded that his newfound relationship was a positive development, making light of his previous single status and joking that love transformed people. Jiang Sihan presented Cheng Mu with a fresh rose, a gift that she declared entirely belonged to them both, explaining that she owed him a rose.

Cheng Mu playfully reminded her of a previous time she had given him a rose accompanied by a love letter, quoting its memorable opening: "Mountains are mountains, and the sea is the sea." Jiang Sihan, embarrassed, tried to silence him but promised to write him a new, proper love letter, though she grumbled about the difficulty of satisfying him despite having written many already. Later, Jiang Sihan encountered Jian Yihang, who claimed to be taking time off to accompany her.

She confronted him, revealing she had seen him working as a waiter the previous night, and offered to forgive any money he owed her. Jian Yihang insisted on repaying her, and Jiang Sihan expressed her concern for his struggles. A major public opinion crisis erupted when a popular blogger, Yi Qianwan, with millions of followers, live-streamed a sensational "secret" about Cheng Mu's dessert store. He claimed the store's success and popularity were due to significant financial backing.

While some workers pointed out that Cheng Yu's backing was a symbol of strength, others found the accusations suspicious and unwarranted. Cheng Mu dismissed the rumors, stating that their popularity naturally attracted gossip. He confirmed that Sol had indeed started with Cheng Yu's money but had become profitable and repaid her within two months.

Concerned, Cheng Yu immediately tasked her team with investigating any "hidden forces" behind the attacks and instructed the PR department to swiftly delete any negative news about Cheng Mu online. The crisis escalated as Yi Qianwan revealed an even bigger "secret," claiming that Cheng Yu frequently coerced artists, including Li Jingyang, into relationships. Li Jingyang, upon hearing the news of his "exposed relationship," was surprisingly cheerful, seeing it as a positive step.

Cheng Yu, however, expressed her concern that the rumors portrayed her as exploiting him. Li Jingyang dismissed the gossip, stating that "rumors stop at the wise." Cheng Yu decided that instead of refuting the rumors, they would officially announce their relationship, much to Li Jingyang's surprise. Cheng Yu boldly declared that she didn't need to coerce him, as she had already captivated his heart.

Yi Qianwan continued his stream, further alleging that Cheng Yu had also "packaged" Cheng Mu and even arranged his girlfriend, Jiang Sihan, implying their relationship and Sol's promotions were fabricated. Despite having posts about Cheng Mu deleted, Cheng Yu remained worried and urged her team to uncover the true orchestrator behind these attacks.

The situation worsened for Cheng Mu as Yi Qianwan and other influencers began targeting him directly, spreading rumors that he was mentally ill and had caused his parents' deaths. Influencers swarmed Sol's location and even Cheng Mu's master, Mr. Xu's, shop, live-streaming and aggressively confronting them.

At Sol, despite workers' pleas and attempts to stop them, the influencers continued to film, shouting accusations that Cheng Mu was a psychopath who had killed his parents and could "have an attack at any time." Overwhelmed by the public outcry and relentless harassment, Cheng Mu dropped his phone and fled the scene. His worried workers immediately contacted Jiang Sihan. Upon learning of Cheng Mu's disappearance and broken phone, Jiang Sihan grew extremely worried, especially recalling his past suicidal thoughts.

Distressed, Cheng Yu also expressed deep concern for Cheng Mu's welfare from home. Jiang Sihan rushed to find him, eventually locating Cheng Mu at the seashore, where he had once contemplated suicide. A flashback revealed a younger Cheng Mu being comforted by Cheng Yu, who gave him a necklace as a symbol of courage and promised to always be with him. Jiang Sihan tearfully pleaded with him to understand he was no longer alone.

She confessed her initial fear upon learning of his condition but affirmed that her love had conquered all anxieties, and she was committed to learning and facing everything with him. She gently guided him back to reality, ensuring he could hear her and breathe with her. Cheng Mu, though shaken, reassured her that he was fine and just needed time to recover. They decided to return home, making sure to inform Cheng Yu first.

Back at home, Cheng Yu, distraught over Cheng Mu's disappearance, was being consoled by Li Jingyang, who urged her to stay strong for her brother. Cheng Mu soon returned, apologizing for vanishing. Cheng Yu confronted him, asking if he had indeed planned to end his life a year ago. She tearfully revealed she had known but remained silent, hoping his renewed spirit would prevail.

She passionately told him she never saw him as a burden but as her "greatest blessing," the reason she endured difficult times. She made him promise never to disappear again. Meanwhile, Li Jingyang confronted Yi Qianwan, who remained defiant despite a lawyer's letter. Li Jingyang then revealed that he was aware of Yi Qianwan's severely ill daughter, Yuanyuan. Yuanyuan herself appeared, apologizing to her father and explaining that she had contacted Li Jingyang after seeing her father's harmful live streams.

She spoke of how Cheng Mu's Sol dessert had made her bitter medicine taste better, urging her father not to betray his conscience for her sake. Li Jingyang informed Yi Qianwan that he had arranged for a team of international doctors for Yuanyuan and would cover all treatment costs. Faced with this unexpected generosity, Yi Qianwan was stunned.

Li Jingyang demanded a public apology to Cheng Mu and the permanent closure of Yi Qianwan's social media account as payment for the harm inflicted. Yi Qianwan agreed, then revealed the true mastermind behind the attacks: Shen Menglin. Cheng Yu, hearing the name, was visibly surprised.

Episode 16 (Ending) Recap

Following the revelation in the previous episode that her ex-suitor Shen Menglin was the mastermind behind the malicious rumors, Cheng Yu went to his home to confront him. She demanded to know why he had targeted her brother, Cheng Mu, instead of dealing with her directly. Still hoping to reconcile, Shen Menglin blamed Cheng Mu for their breakup, calling him a burden.

Cheng Yu firmly corrected him, stating that Cheng Mu was her brother, not a burden, and her decision to end their relationship had nothing to do with him. She expressed deep regret for the past but declared that his current actions filled her with disgust. As Shen Menglin continued to plead and forcibly tried to restrain her, Cheng Mu and Jingyang rushed in, beating Shen Menglin. Cheng Mu then confronted him, expressing his disgust with Shen Menglin's behavior.

Soon after, the influencer who had maliciously spread rumors and exaggerated Cheng Mu's condition publicly apologized and announced their retirement from social media, clearing Cheng Mu's name and allowing the dessert shop to resume normal operations. These turbulent events only deepened the bond between Cheng Mu and Jiang Sihan. Jiang Sihan's parents, having seen the online news, called to reassure Cheng Mu.

They explained that they had long been aware of his condition and had refrained from asking directly, hoping he would share it when ready. They affirmed their belief that he was a good person and would not judge him. Jiang Sihan’s mother told Cheng Mu that no parent truly doesn't love their child, and both parents warmly embraced him as their own son, promising to always welcome him into their home.

Jiang Sihan then echoed her parents' sentiments, declaring that his parents were now her parents too, and vowed to stay by his side forever, a promise Cheng Mu reciprocated. Meanwhile, during a conversation with Jingyang, Cheng Yu began experiencing frequent nausea and vomiting, leading her to suspect she might be pregnant. Jingyang was overjoyed at the prospect, excitedly urging her to go out and buy something.

He jokingly expressed concern that the baby might be coming at an inconvenient time for him, but quickly corrected himself, affirming that he had long been ready for this, specifically ready to marry her. He then presented her with a bag containing all his worldly possessions: his property deeds, household register, bank card, and car keys, declaring it his entire fortune.

Cheng Yu, overwhelmed, called him a lunatic, to which he replied that he had been crazy for her since the moment he fell in love. He then insisted they get married immediately and kissed her tenderly. Before making his public announcement, Cheng Mu, accompanied by Jiang Sihan, visited his master. He recounted how his master had taken him in at a time of suicidal depression, teaching him dessert-making and providing a warmth and trust his own family had lacked.

His master, unaffected by the public opinion, simply encouraged him to keep striving. Later, prompted by public request following the online turmoil, Cheng Mu, as the manager of Sol dessert shop, addressed his audience in a livestream, revealing his personal struggles. He admitted to being a patient suffering from panic attacks caused by post-traumatic stress disorder, which had led to moderate depression and suicidal thoughts.

He shared that at the age of thirteen, he found solace and purpose after meeting his master, who also had similar symptoms. His master not only taught him the art of dessert-making but also introduced him to a supportive community, helping him realize he could have identities beyond being a patient.

Inspired by his master's vision to help more patients support themselves through baking, Cheng Mu announced a new initiative: Sol would begin recruiting individuals with mental illnesses, offering them paid apprenticeships and employment opportunities. He extended his gratitude to everyone for their continued support of his shop and its mission. He was also reassured to hear that Shen Menglin had been fired from his corporation, bringing an end to that particular chapter of trouble.

As Han Xianglan prepared to return home to complete her studies, she visited Jian Yihang at the dessert shop. Upon hearing she was leaving, Jian Yihang immediately asked about repaying his debt to her. Han Xianglan, exasperated by his persistent focus on money over their relationship, asked if money truly mattered more to him than she did.

She initially offered to waive the debt, expressing frustration that her long pursuit of him had received no reciprocal affection, while she remained just a creditor receiving payments. Jian Yihang refused her offer to waive the debt. Han Xianglan then directly confronted him, asking if he liked her. Jian Yihang inquired about her return, to which she replied "Next Christmas."

He then solemnly declared that he owed her 72,800 yuan in total, and promised to transfer 5,200 yuan to her every month, vowing to pay off the entire debt before her return next Christmas. Once the debt was cleared, he asked her to return as his girlfriend.

Overjoyed, Han Xianglan made him repeat his promise and then made him swear not to flirt with other girls while she was away, a promise he reciprocated, citing his busy work schedule as a reason he wouldn't have time. Han Xianglan happily embraced him. On a serene beach, Jiang Sihan and Cheng Mu enjoyed the peaceful evening, with Jiang Sihan commenting on the sea's magical healing power.

Cheng Mu playfully inquired about her worries, to which she responded that her only concern was his growing popularity, playfully adding that she should "strike first and make him mine." He then produced cold fireworks, illuminating her joyful face as she watched them glow. A year later, by the same sea, Cheng Mu formally proposed to Jiang Sihan, asking if she would enter a "legally binding relationship" with him, to "marry me and become a part of my family."

Jiang Sihan softly replied, "I will." This marked a turning point, as Cheng Mu's dessert shop expanded with a new branch. The staff had grown and received promotions, with new employees recruited through the "Healing Project" joining the team. The passage of time also solidified Han Xianglan and Jian Yihang's relationship; she proudly introduced him as her boyfriend, and he as her girlfriend, much to the delight of their colleagues, who celebrated another couple finding happiness.

On a breezy day by the sea, Jiang Sihan playfully chided Cheng Mu for seemingly slacking off, then self-consciously asked if she looked thinner, admitting she had actually gained a pound that morning. Cheng Mu gazed at her with loving eyes, assuring her that it simply meant he was taking excellent care of her, radiating affection and tenderness. The scene concluded with pink, tender bubbles filling the entire beach, signifying their enduring love.
