Since Chi Cheng's snake was extremely valuable and required professional caretakers to raise it at the appropriate temperature, and the people sent by Chi Cheng's father knew nothing about snakes, they decided to arrange for the snake to be transported out. That night, Chi Cheng gave up on Yue Yue and returned to sleep with Wu Suowei. However, during the earlier scuffle between Chi Cheng and Guo Chengyu, one of the snake's crates had been knocked over, allowing the snake to slip out unnoticed. During the struggle to capture the snake, Wu Suowei ended up entangled by Chi Cheng’s giant yellow python.
Seeing this, Chi Cheng grew extremely worried and immediately rushed to save him. However, the python coiled tightly around Wu Suowei’s neck and refused to let go. Jiang Xiaoshuai, deeply concerned for Wu Suowei’s safety, urged Chi Cheng to kill the snake to free him. Chi Cheng stayed by Wu Suowei’s side at the hospital, but Wu Suowei remained unconscious. Meanwhile, Chi Cheng sent a warning to Yue Yue, making it clear their relationship was over for good.
After being rejected by Chi Cheng, Yue Yue refused to give up her chance to marry into wealth and went to cry to Chi Cheng’s mother. Later, Chi Cheng’s father visited the hospital and, in an attempt to keep Yue Yue in the picture, told Chi Cheng he could continue raising snakes and wouldn’t have to return to the family business. However, Chi Cheng refused the offer, insisting on breaking up with Yue Yue.
Meanwhile, Wu Suowei guessed that Chi Cheng and Yue Yue had already split and began planning a way to expose Yue Yue’s true nature to Chi Cheng’s mother. From Chi Cheng’s assistant, Gangzi, Wu Suowei learned that Yue Yue was still harassing Chi Cheng. He then gave Gangzi a bank card to use as bait to reveal Yue Yue’s true colors.
Sure enough, when Yue Yue received the card, she didn’t refuse—instead, she became smug and even more determined to exploit her connection with Chi Cheng’s mother. After getting the card, Yue Yue went on a luxury shopping spree. Gangzi deliberately brought Chi Cheng’s sister to the same mall where Yue Yue was spending extravagantly. Through Chi Cheng’s sister, all of Yue Yue’s shopping records were presented to Chi Cheng’s mother, finally exposing her true nature.
