After Wu Suowei got Chi Cheng’s phone number, he called him to borrow money—a considerable amount. Chi Cheng didn’t hesitate at all. Instead, he asked to add Wu Suowei on WeChat. After adding him, Chi Cheng asked with concern what the money was for, clearly worried that Wu Suowei might be in trouble. Wu Suowei said he needed to buy another batch of snakes and raise them again.
He also analyzed the reason for the last failure, claiming that this time he would definitely succeed. After hearing Wu Suowei’s explanation, Chi Cheng didn’t ask further and directly transferred 200,000 yuan to him. After receiving the money, even Jiang Xiaoshuai was surprised—it was unexpectedly easy to borrow the money. Wu Suowei became even more confident in his ability to attract Chi Cheng. After receiving the money, Chi Cheng immediately transferred it to Wu Suowei again. Wu Suowei returned to the snake farm wanting to buy a truck. At first, the owner didn’t want to sell it, fearing Chi Cheng would come back and cause more trouble.
But he didn’t dare say it directly and ended up selling the truck to Wu Suowei anyway. After buying the truck, Wu Suowei took Chi Cheng to visit his snake-raising site. Yue Yue went to Chi Cheng’s home and was surprised to discover that both Chi Cheng and Wu Suowei used the same brand of Dabao cream. However, she still complimented Chi Cheng in order not to upset him. Chi Cheng didn’t care much about it.
Hoping to get his snake back, he wanted to bring Yue Yue home with him. Yue Yue was excited, mistakenly thinking that she was about to become Chi Cheng’s wife and gain wealth and status. Chi Cheng bought a lot of high-end clothes for Wu Suowei, and the two agreed to meet in a park. When they met, both acted reserved, waiting for the other to speak first. Wu Suowei kept changing the subject, deliberately avoiding anything related to dating.
Suddenly, Chi Cheng ambiguously slapped Wu Suowei on the butt. Though Wu Suowei felt a bit disgusted, he decided to go all-in and tried to slap Chi Cheng’s butt in return to keep his interest. Just as he was about to do it, Chi Cheng turned around and interrupted him. Seeing Wu Suowei sweating, Chi Cheng thought he had hurt him and offered to massage him.
Wu Suowei struggled internally—this was a perfect opportunity, but the issue was, the other party was a man. Just as Chi Cheng was about to take the next step, Wu Suowei couldn’t go through with it and firmly rejected him. Later, while they were walking together, Wu Suowei kept wanting to hold Chi Cheng’s hand, hoping to take their relationship a step further. But he was still wrestling with his feelings.
Thinking about Chi Cheng possibly marrying Yue Yue, Wu Suowei still wanted to break them up. As he hesitated, a car suddenly passed by. In an instinctive move to save Chi Cheng, Wu Suowei grabbed his hand. That moment brought the two of them even closer. Chi Cheng domineeringly held onto Wu Suowei’s hand, and the two looked like a couple—though Wu Suowei still seemed a bit unnatural. Chi Cheng got a call from Yue Yue and wanted to leave.
Wu Suowei was hesitant at first, but when he saw that it was Yue Yue calling, he instead grabbed Chi Cheng’s hand and wouldn’t let him go. Chi Cheng interpreted Wu Suowei’s reaction as acting cute and jealous, and surprisingly, he didn’t go meet Yue Yue and stayed with Wu Suowei instead.
