Chi Cheng, Guo Chengyu, and Wang Shuo went off in different directions. After walking a while, Chi Cheng couldn’t help but turn around and saw that Wang Shuo was still following behind him. No longer able to suppress his anger, he grabbed Wang Shuo by the neck and demanded to know why he had left. Wang Shuo deliberately kept pestering him, wanting to keep entangling with Chi Cheng.
At that moment, one of Chi Cheng’s friends suddenly appeared and knocked Wang Shuo unconscious, helping Chi Cheng out of the situation. When Chi Cheng returned home, he found that Wu Suowei had blown many snake-shaped sugar figures for him. Although he expressed his thanks verbally, it was obvious that Chi Cheng was absent-minded. The next day, Chi Cheng went to find Jiang Xiaoshuai, who told him that Wang Shuo had been hospitalized. This news surprised Chi Cheng.
I suggested Wu Suowei go visit Wang Shuo at the hospital. At first, Wu Suowei didn’t want to go, but after Jiang Xiaoshuai’s persuasion, even though Wu Suowei still refused verbally, he went to the hospital alone afterward. Wu Suowei saw that Wang Shuo was full of energy and very healthy in the hospital. As he turned around to leave in a hurry, he bumped into a man who was collecting his medicine.
After leaving the hospital, Wu Suowei happened to see Chi Cheng’s car parked at the hospital entrance, so he called to ask about it. Chi Cheng, however, said he was with a client, which made Wu Suowei feel very upset, because he suspected Chi Cheng was with Jiang Xiaoshuai. In truth, Chi Cheng was taking Wu Suowei’s mother to the hospital for treatment and didn’t want Wu Suowei to know, so he lied.
The examination revealed that Wu Suowei’s mother had a serious illness, which deeply pained Chi Cheng. Not knowing how to explain it to Wu Suowei and feeling heartbroken, Chi Cheng went to a bar and got drunk before coming home. Although Wu Suowei complained with words, he still took care of Chi Cheng considerately. Later, Chi Cheng went to his rental room to pack up his things.
When he came out at night, Wang Shuo was there too—and he had brought the little sugar snake Chi Cheng had once made. Wu Suowei felt very upset and went to find Jiang Xiaoshuai to share his suspicions. I still believed there must be a misunderstanding—being sneaky was not in Chi Cheng’s character. If Chi Cheng liked Wang Shuo and wanted to be with him, he would act openly, not secretly.
Wu Suowei also began to think he might have misunderstood Chi Cheng and decided to go find him. Coincidentally, Chi Cheng was with Jiang Xiaoshuai—and at that very moment, Wu Suowei saw Jiang Xiaoshuai forcefully kiss Chi Cheng. Heartbroken, Wu Suowei chose to walk away. Wang Shuo came to Jiang Xiaoshuai’s home, claiming he wanted to stay the night. I was reluctant at first, but couldn’t resist Wang Shuo’s relentless pestering.
Jiang Xiaoshuai thought that if Wang Shuo stayed, then Chi Cheng would end up with Wu Suowei. So why not let Wang Shuo go disrupt them? Thus, Jiang Xiaoshuai agreed to let Wang Shuo stay. Early the next morning, Guo Chengyu came over. When Jiang Xiaoshuai saw that Wang Shuo was still there, he got a little angry and kicked Wang Shuo out. Afterward, Guo Chengyu kept complaining to Jiang Xiaoshuai.
Seeing Guo Chengyu acting jealous, Jiang Xiaoshuai was instead very pleased, and the two shared a passionate kiss. While Jiang Xiaoshuai was working at the hospital, Chi Cheng went there to ask him about Wu Suowei’s whereabouts. Jiang Xiaoshuai found it odd, since Wu Suowei had left early and he thought Wu Suowei was with Chi Cheng.
Chi Cheng also felt something was off and guessed Wu Suowei might be at the company, so he went to look for him there. When Wu Suowei saw Chi Cheng, his expression was cold. Chi Cheng suspected that Wu Suowei had probably seen him being forcibly kissed by Wang Shuo. He had no way to explain why he didn’t come home that night—because he was with Wu Suowei’s mother, who didn’t want her illness to be revealed to Wu Suowei. After hearing Chi Cheng’s strained explanation, Wu Suowei became even more convinced that Chi Cheng and Wang Shuo were involved with each other.
