Wu Suowei wanted to confess the truth from back then to Chi Cheng, but Chi Cheng misunderstood. Chi Cheng thought that Wu Suowei had a girlfriend for three years who broke up with him because he was poor, and now Wu Suowei was trying to climb upward by stepping on Chi Cheng’s shoulders. After hearing Chi Cheng’s words, Wu Suowei realized the misunderstanding but couldn’t bring himself to explain further. So he let the misunderstanding continue.
The next day, Wu Suowei told Jiang Xiaoshuai what had happened. While they were talking, Chi Cheng suddenly called and, in a rather coquettish tone, asked Wu Suowei to top up his phone balance, saying all the money at home was now managed by Wu Suowei. That night, Wu Suowei bought a pair of pants for Chi Cheng. The pants were a bit short, but since they were from Wu Suowei, Chi Cheng decided to make do.
At the same time, Wu Suowei got jealous over Chi Cheng’s ex-boyfriend, which in turn aroused Chi Cheng’s desire. Wu Suowei sensed the situation wasn’t going in a good direction and tried to use work as an excuse to escape, but Chi Cheng stopped him. After a night of madness, Wu Suowei went to Jiang Xiaoshuai to vent.
At the time, Jiang Xiaoshuai was volunteering at a free clinic, and Guo Chengyu was quietly observing from the side the entire time. Chi Cheng and Wu Suowei were displaying their affection publicly, which made Jiang Xiaoshuai feel a little jealous. Just then, Guo Chengyu happened to pass by and saw everything. Later, Guo Chengyu approached Jiang Xiaoshuai again, but Jiang Xiaoshuai responded coldly, assuming Guo Chengyu was there with Chi Cheng.
Guo Chengyu realized Jiang Xiaoshuai suspected he liked Chi Cheng. While Guo Chengyu was trying to explain, Jiang Xiaoshuai suddenly received a message on his phone, and his demeanor changed abruptly. He ignored Guo Chengyu and went alone to a bar to drink. Guo Chengyu silently followed behind, concerned. No one knew how many drinks Jiang Xiaoshuai had had before Guo Chengyu stepped in to stop him. Jiang Xiaoshuai collapsed into Guo Chengyu’s arms and cried bitterly.
Because Jiang Xiaoshuai was drunk, Guo Chengyu brought him home and took careful care of him. The next morning, when Jiang Xiaoshuai woke up with a pounding headache, he was slightly embarrassed as he recalled his drunken behavior. Guo Chengyu acted like nothing had happened and even made breakfast for him. While eating, Jiang Xiaoshuai asked Guo Chengyu what happened after he got drunk. Guo Chengyu didn’t say much and just teased him on purpose.
Jiang Xiaoshuai, hearing this, felt even more embarrassed. In an attempt to feel the vibe of being in love, Wu Suowei took Chi Cheng shopping. They came across a pair of couple’s watches that were quite magical—when the hands of one watch moved, the other’s would move along with it. Wu Suowei found it amusing but didn’t buy them because of the price. He just looked and left with Chi Cheng. However, Chi Cheng had noticed Wu Suowei’s fondness.
After they left, Chi Cheng pretended to go to the bathroom. Wu Suowei guessed that Chi Cheng went back to buy the watches and happily waited, but when Chi Cheng returned empty-handed, Wu Suowei was a bit disappointed. Just as they were about to leave, Chi Cheng suddenly put the watch on Wu Suowei’s wrist. Wu Suowei and Chi Cheng went swimming together, playfully splashing around in the pool.
Seizing the moment when Chi Cheng wasn’t looking, Wu Suowei dove underwater. When Chi Cheng turned and couldn’t see Wu Suowei, he got worried and dove in too. The two kissed passionately underwater. On the way home, Wu Suowei received a call and lied that there was an emergency at work, then hurried off. Chi Cheng, bored, asked Gangzi to play video games with him.
Because Wu Suowei had been leaving early and returning late lately, Chi Cheng began to feel suspicious, especially since Wu Suowei had been answering calls behind his back. Chi Cheng started thinking Wu Suowei might be seeing someone else, so he took Gangzi to the company to find out the truth. Once there, he realized Wu Suowei had been secretly preparing a surprise for him.
