> Resumos de Affinity
Xie Xinxu could not bring himself to leave Wu Nongyu behind in the collapsing building. He summoned his dragon to carry her to safety, and when she finally regained consciousness, she found him watching over her with unexpected tenderness. Her first thought was of her brother, Siyuan. However, when she asked for him, Xie Xinxu avoided the subject, telling her she needed to rest while he went to alert the doctor. Sensing the grim reality, Nongyu began to weep.
It was then that Lin Juan entered the room, revealing that Siyuan had come to see him before the tragedy occurred. During that final meeting, Siyuan had offered a rare apology for his past behavior, admitting there would be no more chances to make amends. He then asked Lin Juan for a crucial favor, explaining that Director Xia (Xia Shang) had already murdered Li Xiang.
Having realized that Siyuan was hiding Nongyu's collection of fragments, the Director now viewed him as a traitor and intended to eliminate everyone close to him. Siyuan’s plan was to hand over fake fragments to Director Xia, and he tasked Lin Juan with infiltrating the tech department to swap the inspection reports so the deception would go unnoticed.
Knowing his own time was limited, Siyuan even arranged a matchmaking session for Lin Juan and ensured he was no longer tied to the Bureau. Lin Juan realized then that Siyuan was settling his affairs and giving his last words. Lin Juan then handed Siyuan’s final letter to Nongyu. In the letter, Siyuan told her to stop crying and look toward the future.
He explained that with Li Xiang gone and his own life already fading from illness, dying on his own terms felt far more dignified than wasting away in a hospital bed. He requested a joint burial with Li Xiang, sharing that they had enjoyed a genuine, happy relationship and that he had no regrets. He also revealed that he had secured Xie Xinxu's safety by striking a deal with Director Xia, jokingly asking if that made him Xie’s lifesaver.
His final instruction to Nongyu was to remain low-profile while searching for the remaining fragments; destroying the Bureau’s purpose was the only intelligent way to achieve true revenge. He warned her not to disturb his and Li Xiang’s peace by crying at their grave. After paying their respects to Siyuan, the tension between Nongyu and Xie Xinxu remained. Back at the house, she began packing her belongings and informed him that their previous agreement was now void.
Since they had never officially formed a "pact," she intended to live her own life and continue the search for fragments alone. She even suggested she would cooperate if he wanted to find another "Yin" to bond with. When Xie Xinxu questioned if she intended to find another "Blade" like Lin Juan, Nongyu pointed out the insurmountable barrier between them: she was the sister of the man suspected of killing his parents, making it impossible for them to be together.
Xie Xinxu refused to let her go, embracing her and pleading for them to live as they had before. However, Nongyu struggled against him, admitting that although she knew her brother had chosen his own death, seeing Xie Xinxu only reminded her of the brother he hadn't saved. As she attempted to leave with her suitcase, she found the door would not open. Xie Xinxu revealed that he had already changed the locks.
He confessed that he had tried to let her go when she chose her brother over him, but his dragon had instinctively saved her against his own resolve. He explained that Siyuan had used the virus in his body as a floating chip to connect his consciousness with the dragon, and the creature’s actions proved that his heart had chosen her long ago.
Xie Xinxu declared that if they could no longer be joined by love due to the shadows of the past, she would remain by his side as a hostage until the truth of his parents' death was uncovered. He was perfectly willing to let their bond be forged in hate if love was no longer an option.
