Qi pressed Yin Che on why he failed to cherish their partner after marriage. Yin Che admitted that he was afraid of ending up like that cat: at first it was loved by Qi, but later it was abandoned along with its cat bed. He was terrified that once something was obtained, it would no longer be cherished, and that he himself would be discarded.
So he deliberately kept a distant, on-and-off attitude in front of Qi, believing that only this way could he maintain the freshness of marriage. As a result, he rarely ate together with Qi. But no matter what, he still felt he couldn’t satisfy Qi. Eventually, he overheard Qi complaining on the phone that married life was boring, not even as good as being single.
That was why he proposed that he had a project and suggested Qi move out to live separately. In fact, Yin Che had liked Qi for a long time, but he didn’t know how to get along with her, so he used his own way to do whatever he could. He discovered that Qi really liked ordering takeout, so he would secretly log into Qi’s account, check what she ordered, make the same dishes himself, and replace her takeout.
The takeout Qi ordered would be eaten by him instead. Every time he ate it, his stomach hurt, but he was always glad that Qi didn’t have to eat that takeout. When Wu Nongyu called Yin Che to tell him that Qi was cheating and asked to meet, Wu Siyuan also called Yin Che, telling him that Qi had not cheated at all and had actually been secretly following Yin Che the whole time.
He even sent several tracking videos to Yin Che—Qi had always been right behind him. Yin Che walked up to Qi in front of him, apologized to her with deep emotion, and said he hoped that in the future he could face his own heart honestly. Qi hugged Yin Che tightly. Wu Nongyu also smiled. Li Xiang, who had been listening to everything, was moved to tears as well.
Wu Siyuan invited Li Xiang to go to his place to wash her face. Li Xiang, in turn, reminded Wu Siyuan that inviting her to his home late at night could easily make her misunderstand it as an attempt to develop an ambiguous relationship. Wu Siyuan shyly explained that he was simply showing concern for a colleague.
After Qi and Yin Che left, Wu Nongyu began to put Xie Xinxu on trial, openly pointing out the effects of the medication he had been taking. Xie Xinxu sighed and said nothing, but when he saw Wu Nongyu on the verge of tears, he finally spoke about his feelings: seeing Wu Nongyu soaking in the bathtub made his heart ache; seeing her together with Lin Juan and the others made his chest feel tight.
Later, as they entered each other’s dreams, they both experienced different sensations. When one particular feeling became more frequent, it even made Xie Xinxu’s eyes ache. Every time he held Wu Nongyu and kissed her, the racing heartbeat—that was what being moved felt like. Wu Nongyu felt even more upset. It turned out that these feelings didn’t require sincerity at all—just taking medicine was enough.
Yet she demanded that Xie Xinxu keep taking the medicine until the day she no longer wanted him. Xie Xinxu said he didn’t want to take the medicine anymore, and Wu Nongyu thought he no longer liked her, becoming even angrier. Xie Xinxu suddenly pulled Wu Nongyu onto the chair and told her that what he had been taking all along was actually vitamins. His emotions might have truly been healed by Wu Nongyu.
It was the wonderful Wu Nongyu who made him unable to resist, who had assimilated him. Wu Nongyu hugged Xie Xinxu tightly. Yin Che sent fragments to Xie Xinxu. Wu Nongyu hadn’t expected to obtain fragments without spending a single cent. The two of them now had two fragments already, with only the last one left. Wu Nongyu gathered the fragment information on the computer, staying busy nonstop, while Xie Xinxu held Wu Nongyu close, clingy and insisting on going to sleep together.
