He Qiaosheng, who had arranged for the alumni reunion, waited until Albert held Tang Shuangli's hand before intervening, helping Tang Shuangli out of an awkward situation where Albert was trying to get her food and juice. Tang Shuangli, also known as Ella by her peers, initially declined, claiming she was on a diet, but then accepted juice. He Qiaosheng instructed Ye Lin to assist with napkins and drinks.
After introducing Lucy to Albert and Tang Shuangli, He Qiaosheng deliberately bumped Tang Shuangli towards Albert, who steadied her before He Qiaosheng walked away. During a toast, Lucy thanked He Qiaosheng for the "absolutely romantic" stargazing dinner. He Qiaosheng, however, credited Tang Shuangli for the idea and Ye Lin for the venue. Tang Shuangli appeared surprised but He Qiaosheng reminded her of her old wish.
He then introduced Albert, the Chief Representative for Hash Asia, to Lucy, who was impressed by his success. Albert, in turn, highlighted Ella as the top student in their college. When Lucy proposed a toast to Ella, Tang Shuangli declined alcohol, citing an allergy, so He Qiaosheng suggested a soft drink instead. Lucy then inquired about Tang Shuangli's current profession, seemingly taken aback when Tang Shuangli revealed she was merely a receptionist at a software company.
Later, Lucy asked Albert if he was single, to which he replied that he was married. Despite this, He Qiaosheng again subtly tried to push Tang Shuangli towards Albert, causing Albert to steady her. He Qiaosheng then suggested they explore the beautiful environment. Suddenly, Selena, Albert's wife, appeared, surprising everyone. Lu Zhiyi went to the alumni reunion site, saw Tang Shuangli crying, and quickly followed her. Tang Shuangli asked for a tissue, and when he had none, he offered his shirt, which she used to wipe her tears. He asked if she was in trouble.

Meanwhile, He Qiaosheng, worried about Tang Shuangli's whereabouts after Ye Lin told him she left with a man, called He Qizhan to confirm if she was with him. He Qizhan suspected He Qiaosheng was trying to "put on a rom-com with a younger alum."
He Qiaosheng then searched for Tang Shuangli along the way. Back home, He Qizhan was frantic, telling Tang Shuangli he had been "looking for you like crazy." Noticing she had been crying, he asked what happened, suspecting He Qiaosheng and offering help with money or her job. Tang Shuangli simply said she was hungry. He Qizhan immediately prepared fried rice for her.
Tang Shuangli praised it as the "best fried rice I've ever had," even "better than Lisa's," referring to her deceased best friend. He Qizhan returned and, with a stern gaze, forced the photographer to pick up the money he had thrown on the ground and apologize to Zhao Mengdi. Despite getting her money back, Zhao Mengdi was still upset, explaining that she needed photos to register for an "internet celebrity competition," and it was the last day. He Qizhan confidently offered to take her photos. He captured several satisfactory shots, making Zhao Mengdi ecstatic. To celebrate, Zhao Mengdi treated them to hotpot.
During their meal, Zhao Mengdi ordered mild spice, while Tang Shuangli opted for super hot, and He Qizhan ordered peeled cucumbers for Tang Shuangli, noting it was refreshing when she expressed unfamiliarity. Zhao Mengdi observed their easy familiarity and connection.
She began to voice her suspicions, recalling how He Qizhan knew Tang Shuangli's food preferences, chose her (a newcomer) for motion capture from many female employees, reacted anxiously when Tang Shuangli made a mistake with Mr. Lu's coffee, behaved mysteriously on Tang Shuangli's first day, and even how they both sneezed simultaneously a few days prior. She concluded that "Something's going on between you two."
He Qizhan denied their closeness, but under Zhao Mengdi's persistent questioning, Tang Shuangli admitted they "live together," quickly clarifying they were "purely roommates," occupying separate rooms "cleanly and innocently." Zhao Mengdi was shocked but eventually gave up her interrogation, promising not to reveal their roommate status, especially "what happened last night," which caused both Tang Shuangli and He Qizhan to look uncomfortable. Zhao Mengdi then entertained them with a dance, asking He Qizhan to record it using a beauty filter.
She proudly showed them her large following online, whom she called "Little Curls." Tang Shuangli then announced her birthday was on June 1st, Children's Day, and invited both of them to celebrate, to which they enthusiastically agreed. Meanwhile, at his office, He Qiaosheng received ambiguous photos of Tang Shuangli and Albert from Ye Lin, which were part of a marketing proposal for the second quarter.
He Qiaosheng, who had previously considered exposing a scandal involving Albert and Tang Shuangli, now found himself unhappy despite having the photos he sought.
