Tang Shuangli and her friends continued their birthday celebration at the children's park. During a ring toss game, He Qizhan and Lu Zhiyi showed impressive skill, winning many toys. However, He Qiaosheng struggled to win a gift for Tang Shuangli, much to the amusement of Lu Zhiyi and the quiet satisfaction of Ye Lin. Next, the group played a game of Eagle and Chickens. Zhao Mengdi eagerly volunteered to be the hen.
He Qiaosheng and Lu Zhiyi immediately began arguing over who would stand directly behind Tang Shuangli to protect her. He Qizhan intervened, assigning roles: Zhao Mengdi as the "hen head," Tang Shuangli as the "chicken breast," and the others taking on various chicken parts. Their game was interrupted by a group of youths, led by Xu Dingding, who demanded they vacate the area. He Qizhan refused, leading Tang Shuangli to accept a challenge.
She declared her group "Team Black Hawk" and their opponents "Team Green Feathers." The rule was that the losing team would have to loudly declare "I'm a dumbass." Team Green Feathers lost first and had to make the declaration. Later, Team Black Hawk also suffered a loss, and they too had to shout "I'm a dumbass." Xu Dingding's group then suggested a game of hide-and-seek in the maze, and Tang Shuangli's team readily agreed.
Inside the maze, He Qizhan ran with Zhao Mengdi, while He Qiaosheng and Lu Zhiyi stayed with Tang Shuangli. Xu Dingding, seeing Ye Lin leisurely walking and not running, decided it was "no fun" to catch her and moved on to other targets. When He Qiaosheng, Tang Shuangli, and Lu Zhiyi were cornered, He Qiaosheng sacrificed himself to distract Team Green Feathers, urging Lu Zhiyi to take Tang Shuangli and escape.
He Qiaosheng was caught, and Xu Dingding made him climb a high structure to shout "I'm a dumbass." Meanwhile, Ye Lin noticed He Qiaosheng holding a large bouquet, seemingly intended for Tang Shuangli, and appeared unhappy. Just then, Lu Zhiyi received a call from Gu Ling and had to leave abruptly. He called He Qizhan to explain he had "something came up" and left.
Gu Ling, who was shopping alone, confronted Lu Zhiyi, demanding he have dinner with her at the Dream Restaurant. She was upset that he had changed his home password and allowed Tang Shuangli to touch Meatball, their dog. Lu Zhiyi reiterated that they had broken up, but Gu Ling refused to accept it. Frustrated, Lu Zhiyi locked Gu Ling in his car and called Zhao Da to take her home with a spare key.
After Lu Zhiyi's departure, Tang Shuangli changed into a "princess costume." He Qiaosheng presented her with a large bouquet and wished her a happy birthday. Tang Shuangli accepted the flowers. However, when it was time to light the candles, Tang Shuangli couldn't help but feel a pang of disappointment at Lu Zhiyi's absence.
After making her wish, she confessed to her friends that despite achieving her dream of a successful career and a prestigious education abroad, it wasn't the life she truly desired. She shared that her previous birthdays were always celebrated with just her mother and Lisa, and with Lisa now gone, she was immensely grateful to have all her friends with her this year. Zhao Mengdi, touched by Tang Shuangli's words, promised to celebrate every future birthday with her.
As the party ended, He Qizhan, wanting to prevent his brother from interacting with Tang Shuangli, made an excuse to take He Qiaosheng with him, leaving Ye Lin to drive Tang Shuangli and Zhao Mengdi home. In the car, Tang Shuangli and Zhao Mengdi complained about their aching bodies from the day's games, prompting Ye Lin to suggest they all go for a spa. They enthusiastically agreed. Back at his house, He Qizhan and He Qiaosheng rode bikes home.
He Qizhan then kept He Qiaosheng outside with him, letting them both endure mosquito bites. He Qiaosheng asked why Ye Lin had been invited along. He Qizhan explained it was so Ye Lin could witness He Qiaosheng's true character. He then directly accused He Qiaosheng of pursuing Tang Shuangli, which He Qiaosheng openly admitted. He Qizhan strongly opposed the idea, calling his brother a "playboy" and Tang Shuangli a "Cinderella," and arguing their incompatibility.
He Qiaosheng insisted he was genuinely in love with Tang Shuangli and had changed his ways for her, even declaring he was willing to "burn bridges" for her. He Qizhan then brought up He Qiaosheng's ambiguous relationship with Ye Lin, accusing him of "using" her. He Qiaosheng maintained they were just friends.
In response, He Qiaosheng turned the tables, questioning He Qizhan's own relationship with Zhao Mengdi, suggesting her feelings were obvious and asking if He Qizhan felt pity or love for her. He Qizhan adamantly denied it was anything more than friendship. Despite He Qizhan's strong objections, He Qiaosheng declared his unwavering commitment to Tang Shuangli. At the spa, while selecting treatments using Ye Lin's card, Tang Shuangli received a call from Lu Zhiyi.
Following Zhao Mengdi's advice to "freeze him out" for abandoning her birthday, Tang Shuangli deliberately ignored the call. She also mentioned her resignation from Tianzhuo. A spa attendant informed them that Ye Lin's card had over 6,000 RMB but would expire in three days. Tang Shuangli called Ye Lin, who, after hearing about the balance, insisted they spend it all as a birthday gift for Tang Shuangli.

Lu Zhiyi called He Qizhan, saying he was on his way back. He Qizhan informed him the party was over and Tang Shuangli was at the spa with Zhao Mengdi. When Lu Zhiyi arrived, He Qizhan recounted how He Qiaosheng had attempted to take Tang Shuangli home, but he had intervened.
Lu Zhiyi then confessed he had left the party to "deal with Gu Ling." He Qizhan suspected He Qiaosheng had tipped off Gu Ling about the party, a suspicion Lu Zhiyi agreed with, recalling He Qiaosheng's suggestion that Lu Zhiyi reconcile with Gu Ling so he could pursue Tang Shuangli. Later, in a luxurious milk and flower bath, Tang Shuangli and Zhao Mengdi shared their thoughts on love.
Zhao Mengdi asked Tang Shuangli whom she would choose if both He Qiaosheng and Lu Zhiyi liked her. Tang Shuangli quickly dismissed He Qiaosheng as merely a schoolmate, and her subsequent silence was taken by Zhao Mengdi as a tacit choice for Lu Zhiyi. Tang Shuangli then asked for evidence of Lu Zhiyi's feelings. Zhao Mengdi responded that "liking someone isn't that complicated, a crush happens in an instant." They delved into their own feelings and understanding of love.
Tang Shuangli also mentioned her plan to move out from He Qizhan's place, as living with a boy was inconvenient. Zhao Mengdi immediately invited Tang Shuangli to live with her, an offer Tang Shuangli happily accepted. He Qizhan then returned to the topic of Lu Zhiyi's hesitation, emphasizing He Qiaosheng's aggressive pursuit of Tang Shuangli and urging Lu Zhiyi to "take the initiative" and confess his feelings to win her over. Lu Zhiyi, however, still felt the timing wasn't right.
He Qizhan pressed him further, insisting he at least prevent Tang Shuangli from leaving Tianzhuo. He advised Lu Zhiyi to "pester relentlessly" and even lie about his absence, suggesting he claim a work or family emergency, or even that he got lost, rather than revealing his encounter with Gu Ling. Lu Zhiyi, convinced by He Qizhan's "cunning" advice, decided to go downstairs and wait for Tang Shuangli.
