Following his rescue of Wen Xiaonuan, Ye Feimo's unexpected appearance foiled Jiang Ling'er's plan, leaving her enraged. She immediately confronted Jiang Fang, accusing him of failure. Despite her fury, Jiang Fang seemed lost in thought, reminiscing about Wen Xiaonuan. Unwilling to give up his power and status, he repeatedly swore his loyalty to Jiang Ling'er, who warned him not to lie, threatening dire consequences. Jiang Fang quickly reassured her before leaving for a company meeting.
Moved by how Ye Feimo had braved the rain to save her while ill, Wen Xiaonuan decided to treat him better, preparing his favorite seafood congee. She found him still unwell, and despite his initial reluctance, she gently coaxed him to take his medicine. Later, when his fever had subsided but he was still weak, she helped him get clean pajamas from the wardrobe, a small awkward moment arising when she accidentally pinched him.
She teasingly asked how he, who considered himself invincible, could get a fever. Meanwhile, Jiang Fang continued his malicious plotting, contacting Lin Zheng to discuss their plan to "reverse the roles of host and guest." Their strategy was to acquire Anning's "Blue Sky Galaxy" script, which had attracted foreign interest, and register its copyright first, allowing Yaohua to produce it alone.
Lin Zheng worried that Gu Yunzhou was guarding the script too closely, but Jiang Fang revealed their key to success: Wen Xiaonuan. A few days later, Gu Yunzhou deliberately brought Lin Zheng along to visit Ye Feimo, carrying the coveted "Blue Sky Galaxy" script to test him. Gu Yunzhou sternly warned Lin Zheng to be extremely careful with it, as many outsiders coveted it.
During their visit, Gu Yunzhou lightheartedly asked Ye Feimo if he would attend Han Hui's upcoming return party, which he flatly refused. Noticing Ye Feimo’s possessiveness over Wen Xiaonuan when he playfully asked for her number, Gu Yunzhou was amused. Ye Feimo declared her his "private caregiver" and off-limits, prompting Gu Yunzhou to suggest he treat her to dinner as compensation for her hard work. Lin Zheng then took the opportunity to speak with Wen Xiaonuan, subtly probing her.
He expressed admiration, noting that no woman had ever stayed by the famously difficult Ye Feimo's side for so long, and inquired about his health under the guise of company-wide concern. Wen Xiaonuan skillfully evaded his questions. Later, Ye Feimo and Gu Yunzhou confirmed that Lin Zheng's interest in the script was excessive and that their counter-plan was ready. Before leaving, Gu Yunzhou entrusted Wen Xiaonuan with Ye Feimo’s care.
That evening, Wen Xiaonuan found Ye Feimo outside seeking fresh air. She persuaded him to drink the Coke ginger tea she had made, assuring him it would help him sweat out his illness. As they gazed at the starry sky, both felt a rare sense of peace. Wen Xiaonuan revealed that her parents had passed away early and she had raised her younger brother.
She spoke of the Cowherd and Weaver Girl legend, and her passionate belief in the story as a beautiful "inheritance of civilization" impressed Ye Feimo. Proudly sharing that she grew up in a troupe, she performed a piece of Huangmei Opera. Though Ye Feimo initially found it noisy, he was soon captivated, finding new inspiration for a film. He sincerely thanked her before heading inside. A new dynamic had settled between them.
Recalling Gu Yunzhou’s suggestion, Ye Feimo called the Blue Dream Hotel to make a dinner reservation. Meanwhile, Wen Xiaonuan was reminded by Zhou Xiaojing that her contract was ending the next day. Worried about her mission and the fate of her troupe, Fusheng Theater, she reflected on Ye Feimo’s recent kindness and decided to find the right moment to confess her situation and ask for his help. The next morning, Ye Feimo left for an important meeting.
Lin Zheng seized his chance, calling Wen Xiaonuan and claiming Ye Feimo had forgotten the "Blue Sky Galaxy" script and needed her to deliver it to the company. Wen Xiaonuan's calls to Ye Feimo went unanswered, as he was busy meticulously preparing for their lunch date. Fearing she would delay his work, she delivered the script herself.
Lin Zheng promptly handed it over to Jiang Fang, all while being monitored by Gu Yunzhou, who immediately reported the entire exchange to Ye Feimo, including Wen Xiaonuan's role in it. Despite the news, Ye Feimo proceeded with their lunch date. At the Blue Dream Hotel, as Wen Xiaonuan prepared to reveal her predicament, news broke on a nearby screen: Yaohua had successfully registered the copyright for the "Blue Sky Galaxy" script, with Jiang Fang as the general producer. Wen Xiaonuan was furious and bewildered, realizing the script she had delivered had ended up with Jiang Fang. She resolved to confront him immediately.
