Flying up without Disturb Episode 28 Recap
> Flying up without Disturb Recap
Lin Hu and Ling Bo arrived at a dilapidated house, their compass glowing. Ling Bo expressed doubt about finding the Soul Anchoring Lamp in such a rundown place, but Lin Hu insisted they search thoroughly. After a brief scare where Lin Hu almost slipped and was saved by Ling Bo, leading to a moment of closeness, the compass pointed them to a pot of flowers. Believing it was the lamp, Lin Hu was disappointed to find nothing.
They continued searching and eventually found the Soul Anchoring Lamp hidden within a painting. Overjoyed, Lin Hu embraced Ling Bo, who reminded him that their Young Master was waiting. Meanwhile, Master Zhong Xi was trying to expel the Gu parasite from his body, but his efforts failed. He lamented that Xiao Pei, who used to help him retrieve ancient books from Jiusu, was now dead, preventing him from studying the texts.
Kong Hou offered to go to Jiusu’s place to get the books for him. Concerned about the risk of Kong Hou traveling back and forth alone, Master Zhong Xi proposed they go together to a secret library within Jiusu’s lair to consult the books directly. After Lin Hu and Ling Bo found the Soul Anchoring Lamp, they prepared to leave, only to discover a new barrier blocking the exit and the lamp itself had vanished from Lin Hu's hands.
They realized the lamp had tricked them. The Soul Anchoring Lamp then spoke, revealing it did not want to leave. Understanding its childlike nature, Ling Bo suggested a game of hide-and-seek. After searching the room, Ling Bo identified its true form as a paperweight. Lin Hu then came up with a plan to inject it with a spiritual itchy liquid to force it out.
The lamp, unable to bear the itching, reappeared and agreed to help them if they promised to bring it back and play with it for 800 years. Ling Bo agreed, but later confided in Lin Hu that her promise was merely a tactic to secure its help. She then affirmed that she would accompany Lin Hu wherever he went after their mission was complete.
Kong Hou, along with Master Zhong Xi, reached Jiusu’s secret library, which was full of books on esoteric arts. Kong Hou confirmed that Jiusu and Wu Bei were away, giving them time to search. Overwhelmed, Kong Hou broke down, embracing Master Zhong Xi and confessing her fear. She worried that her actions to save Lingyou Realm would be misunderstood and that she would be hated.
She also expressed her deep apprehension about leaving Master Zhong Xi alone while she led others to capture cultivators from his sect, fearing Jiusu would harm him. She pleaded with Master Zhong Xi to protect himself. Master Zhong Xi reassured her that her sacrifices were for the greater good and he would testify on her behalf. Together, they found a method to remove the Nine-Yin Corpse Gu, which required the fresh blood of a "pure individual"—someone unmarried.
Kong Hou volunteered, but Master Zhong Xi insisted on using his own blood to protect her. On their journey, the Soul Anchoring Lamp continued its childish antics. It used a Reverse Spell on Ling Bo, causing her to misinterpret Lin Hu’s words and storm off in anger. The lamp then trapped Ling Bo in an illusion where she lived out her dream life.
In this illusion, Ling Bo was married to Xiao Dong, the head of Yunhua Sect, and they had a son. She believed she and Xiao Dong had found the Soul Anchoring Lamp together and successfully suppressed Kong Hou’s dark cultivator blood, bringing peace to the realm. She had almost completely forgotten Lin Hu, until "Xiao Dong" refused to catch a bug for her, which reminded her that Lin Hu had always been the one to do that for her.
This discrepancy helped Ling Bo realize she was in an illusion. Back in reality, Lin Hu discovered that the Soul Anchoring Lamp was afraid of bugs and used this weakness to threaten it. In the illusion, Ling Bo confronted "Xiao Dong," recognizing him as the Soul Anchoring Lamp. The lamp tried to persuade her to stay, claiming Lin Hu didn't truly love her and would eventually abandon her. Unwavering, Ling Bo rejected the illusion.
Lin Hu then threatened the lamp with a bug, forcing it to release her. Upon waking, Ling Bo was furious with the lamp. However, it revealed that in its effort to wake her, it had cracked itself. Worried it might no longer be powerful enough to suppress Kong Hou's bloodline, they decided to find Xiao Dong for repairs, as he was skilled at fixing spiritual tools.
Elsewhere, Wu Bei, still suspicious of Kong Hou’s loyalty, brought her captive seniors before her, intending for Kong Hou to absorb their spiritual energy to prove her allegiance. Kong Hou cleverly cited the imminent Ascension Array's need for spiritual power, refusing to "waste" it on them and thus saving her seniors from Wu Bei’s scheme. Lin Hu and Ling Bo arrived at Liuguang Sect to seek Xiao Dong’s help.
Seeing Ling Bo with Lin Hu, Xiao Dong was clearly jealous and advised Ling Bo to distance herself from "dark cultivators," believing Kong Hou was beyond saving. Lin Hu countered by reminding Xiao Dong that Master Zhong Xi was a captive in the dark cultivators' palace, and repairing the lamp to restore Kong Hou's rationality would ensure Master Zhong Xi's safety. Ling Bo also urged Xiao Dong to trust Master Zhong Xi's judgment. Convinced, Xiao Dong reluctantly agreed to fix the lamp for Ling Bo's sake.
