Eternal Brotherhood Season 2 Episode 15 Recap
> Eternal Brotherhood Season 2 Recap
After Si Yilin’s wedding, he went to Li Qing’s room intending to explain things, but before he could say a word, Li Qing had already considerately prepared the study and said she had work to deal with, deliberately arranging for them to live separately. Meanwhile, Yun Qianxue saw Ka Dan tending to a pot of withered flowers every day and specially cultivated a new plant to give her.
Ka Dan was touched but still could not overcome the emotional barrier in her heart. Only after seeing Zichuan Ning leave did Zichuan Xiu take his leave. But just as he was leaping across rooftops, he was seen by Si Yilin from a window.
Si Yilin hurried outside and happened to run into Di Lin, who explained that it was merely a few petty thieves and reassured Si Yilin that he didn’t need to worry about anything else on his wedding day. Ma Wei escorted Zichuan Ning back and gifted her a charcoal stove. When Si Yilin returned, he asked whether Li Qing had been affected by the earlier events.
Li Qing was unfazed—she was no ordinary woman, capable of beheading an enemy general amid thousands of troops. Realizing he had been presumptuous, Si Yilin retreated to the bedroom. Ma Wei brought Zichuan Ning upstairs to view the snow. Zichuan Ning had never admired such beauty from this kind of place and was deeply moved. Ma Wei, well-prepared, brought out wine and food and invited her to enjoy them with him.
Meanwhile, Zichuan Xiu sat silently on a nearby staircase, watching them drink and talk, then quietly left. Faced with the beautiful scenery, Ma Wei sighed that he could never become a pillar of strength for Zichuan. Since childhood, he had wished to become a general who fought on the battlefield. Everyone said he was precociously mature and skilled in commerce, but he disliked the treachery of the business world and only wished to fight for his country.
Zichuan Ning had never imagined Ma Wei had such aspirations and, for the first time, acknowledged him as a true friend. Ma Wei took the opportunity to ask Zichuan Ning to play a song for him. Zichuan Ning recalled Zichuan Xiu—she had once played for him after her birthday. Thinking of this, she declined Ma Wei’s request and suddenly proposed returning to the palace. On the street, Zichuan Xiu encountered the military police hurrying by.
Upon asking, he learned that two assassins had stolen an identification badge near Si Yilin’s residence and were now being hunted. Zichuan Xiu rushed back to find Zichuan Ning but discovered Liu Fengshuang hijacking the carriage carrying Ma Wei and Zichuan Ning. She had knocked them out, intending to use the carriage to escape. Zichuan Xiu stepped in to stop her, reminding her she could harm the man but not the woman. Di Lin soon arrived with the police.
Forced to retreat, Liu Fengshuang fled. Zichuan Xiu quickly pulled his hood over his head. Di Lin scolded his subordinates for almost harming Zichuan Ning and dismissed them. He then confronted Zichuan Xiu about why he hadn’t left yet and even suspected that he was one of the badge thieves. Zichuan Xiu hastily explained it wasn’t him. Di Lin then informed him that the military provisions had been prepared and agreed to escort Zichuan Ning back together.
In the carriage, Zichuan Ning lay on Zichuan Xiu’s lap as he spoke his heart. He hoped she would find someone who truly loved her and forget him. Tears slid from the corner of Zichuan Ning’s eyes. Di Lin accompanied Zichuan Xiu to escort Zichuan Ning back, but Zichuan Xiu didn’t dare show himself. Sitting in the courtyard, he played music by rustling the leaves, reminiscing about the joyful days he spent with Zichuan Ning.
Inside the room, Zichuan Ning lay on her bed, a smile on her lips. Liu Fengyun watched Zichuan Xiu from nearby. When Zichuan Xiu awoke, he found his sword had been returned and left hurriedly. The next morning, Zichuan Ning woke up and asked her maid about Zichuan Xiu. She felt she had seen him and heard his music. The maid helplessly told her that it was Di Lin who had escorted her back.
Just then, Ma Wei was already waiting outside. Zichuan Ning thought she must have been hallucinating from drinking too much. Ma Wei came to apologize, saying he had failed in his duty to protect her, and that it was fortunate Di Lin arrived in time. Zichuan Ning didn’t mind and was more concerned about Ma Wei’s wellbeing. Ma Wei only cared about her safety, feeling at ease as long as she was unharmed.
Luo Minghai quickly learned of the night’s events and suspected that Di Lin had released the badge thieves, ordering surveillance on him. The next day, Zichuan Xiu drove a carriage out of the city. Di Lin had given him a military token the previous day, possibly intending to frame him. Di Lin then appeared to check the situation, but Zichuan Xiu had disguised himself and no one recognized him.
He even openly claimed to be from the Military Command and forced his way through the gate. Di Lin later went to Luo Minghai to feign anger, accusing the Military Command of losing the token. Luo Minghai ordered an investigation into the bearded man Zichuan Xiu had disguised as. In truth, Di Lin had safely helped Zichuan Xiu escape, who then discarded his disguise.
After Di Lin left, Zichuan Xiu stopped the carriage and called out to Liu Fengshuang and her maid hiding inside. It was the fourth time he had rescued her. Liu Fengshuang had developed new feelings for Zichuan Xiu but didn’t express them. Both were aware of each other’s unusual status, yet neither questioned further. They parted ways. The Lu Di showed signs of another troop deployment, causing great concern.
When they opened the next strategy pouch, they found it empty, which worried Bai Chuan and the others. Liu Fengshuang went to the Lin family for reinforcements and was ambushed again. She was hung up and could only shout for help from the Lin family.
