Resumen del episodio 6 de My Sunshine
> Resúmenes de My Sunshine
After He Yichen's unsettling meeting with Zhao Mosheng's father, his mood darkened considerably. He sternly told Mosheng to never seek him out again, expressing a wish that he had never known her at all. Mosheng was left stunned, reeling from the day's devastating double blow. Seven years later, Mosheng, amidst her busy work, had not forgotten her silent promise to Yichen. She delegated her tasks to Lu Yuanfeng and visited Yichen's law firm.
Lacking the courage to face him directly, she simply handed a photo to the receptionist and quickly departed, internally admitting she couldn't even bring herself to speak a few words to him. Upon receiving the photo, Yichen immediately chased after her. He caught up to Mosheng in his car and, without preamble, commanded her to get in. As He Yichen rushed out of the firm, he briefly crossed paths with Xiang Heng.
Back inside, Lao Yuan immediately cornered Xiang Heng, eager to know what had just transpired. Lao Yuan mentioned that a woman had delivered an envelope, and Yichen had reacted uncharacteristically, rushing out. Xiang Heng revealed that the woman was Yichen's ex-girlfriend, explaining that they had broken up seven years prior because she left for the US without a word, a fact Yichen only discovered after her departure.
This news had spread widely in their college, leaving Yichen dispirited for a long time and leading him to take up smoking and drinking. Lao Yuan concluded that this traumatic experience was likely why Yichen had since avoided forming close relationships with women. He Yichen invited Mosheng to dinner, presenting it as a thank-you for returning his wallet. She chose Chinese food, and Yichen, with a teasing smile, asked if she still remembered how to use chopsticks.
He then encouraged her to enjoy the meal, specifically recommending the sweet and sour ribs. During dinner, He Yimei called He Yichen. Upon learning that Mosheng was with him, Yimei requested to speak with her. After a brief exchange of greetings, Yimei asked Mosheng for her phone number, hoping to arrange another meeting.
Once the call concluded, Yichen possessively instructed Mosheng to enter her number and name into his phone, playfully chiding her for possibly forgetting how to write her Chinese name. After her call with Mosheng, He Yimei found herself unable to concentrate on work. During a program recording, she made several mistakes, repeatedly fumbling her lines. Her colleagues noticed her troubled state, asking if she was feeling unwell.
Yimei, though denying it at first, eventually admitted to a headache and poor performance, asking for a break. Later, He Yichen drove Mosheng home. Soon after they parted, he called her, stating that he needed to ask her some questions in person about Xiao Xiao's case. He initially proposed a morning meeting at his law firm the following day, but upon learning of Mosheng's photoshoot, he rescheduled for the afternoon.
Lu Yuanfeng, observing He Yimei's uncharacteristic mood, secretly followed her, concerned for her well-being. Yimei confronted him about his persistent presence. Lu Yuanfeng, claiming to be a gentleman, explained he was merely protecting her because she seemed distressed. Yimei then turned to him for an objective opinion: if a woman had remained by a man's side for over a decade, yet he still harbored no romantic feelings for her, did she truly have no hope?
Lu Yuanfeng initially jokingly suggested she leave the man, as he had "other thoughts," but then seriously conceded that if love hadn't bloomed after ten years, it might indicate an unsuitable match. However, he added that life is unpredictable, so a slim chance might still exist. Yimei, reflecting on the pity of abandoning ten years of devotion, resolved inwardly to try one last time. Mosheng arrived at Yichen's law firm as agreed.
He Yichen, adopting a strictly professional demeanor as Xiao Xiao's lawyer, began to interrogate her. He pressed for specific details about her departure to the US, including the exact date in September 2004, the city (New York), and the university (School of Visual Arts), which he acknowledged as a top-ranked institution for photography. He then questioned her relocation to Los Angeles after graduation, despite a successful career photographing Hollywood stars and models.
Most pointedly, he repeatedly asked why she chose to return to China, a question Mosheng could only answer with "no reason," her head drooping lower with each inquiry. Following his questions, Yichen advised the magazine to prepare for a lawsuit but also suggested that Mosheng speak directly with Xiao Xiao, implying that Xiao Xiao's true motivation might extend beyond mere legal victory. Mosheng offered to personally compensate Xiao Xiao, but Yichen stated it was not possible.
Xiao Xiao and Lu Yuanfeng crossed paths again, immediately igniting into a heated argument. Xiao Xiao accused him of stalking her. Lu Yuanfeng retorted that her breach of contract allowed his magazine to secure a more prominent international model. Xiao Xiao dismissed the model as insignificant and boasted that the magazine was now "begging" her not to sue, sarcastically asking if he understood "there's nothing to be afraid of when you do things right."
Lu Yuanfeng scoffed at her arrogance, reminding her that she was the one who broke the contract and wouldn't win the lawsuit. Xiao Xiao defiantly declared she would show him what "there's nothing to be afraid of when you do things right," and the argument concluded with Lu Yuanfeng vowing never to photograph her again. Still incensed later, Xiao Xiao called He Yichen, demanding that he immediately proceed with the lawsuit against Treasure Magazine.
He Yichen appeared as a guest on a television program, interviewed by He Yimei. Toward the segment's conclusion, Yimei posed a common question for unmarried male guests: "What does your future wife look like to you?" Yichen suggested skipping the question during the live broadcast, but Yimei, fueled by her own curiosity, pressed for an answer. He simply replied, "You know," a response that confirmed Yimei's deepest fears. Concealing her disappointment, she pivoted, suggesting Yichen treat her to dinner.
During their meal, she fondly reminisced about their childhood and how she wished he would stay with her forever, subtly hinting at her desire for marriage. Yichen, however, remained unwavering. As Yimei stepped away to the restroom, Yichen settled the bill. When she returned, she offered to put the change back in his wallet, and in doing so, discovered a photo of Mosheng, solidifying her realization.
Later, Lu Yuanfeng approached Mosheng, seeking insights into He Yimei's past because he intended to pursue her, finding her difficult to approach. Mosheng, trying to be helpful, shared that Yimei was a wonderful person but likely already had a boyfriend. Lu Yuanfeng confidently contradicted this, revealing that Yimei had confessed to him just the day before that she had secretly harbored feelings for someone for a long time and was unsure whether to give up.
This confirmed Yimei was currently unattached. The revelation struck Mosheng deeply, making her understand the full extent of Yimei's unrequited affection, and she quickly took her leave. He Yichen drove He Yimei home. As Yimei suggested he didn't need to go out of his way, Yichen responded that if "that one person" has appeared in one's world, everyone else becomes merely a compromise, and he was unwilling to compromise.
A scandal erupted involving Xiao Xiao, with magazine colleagues avidly discussing online reports and photos suggesting she had a "sugar daddy." While some colleagues reveled in the gossip, Mosheng staunchly defended Xiao Xiao, asserting her belief that Xiao Xiao wouldn't be involved in such a thing. She requested copies of the photos for closer inspection.
Reviewing them with Lu Yuanfeng, Mosheng, utilizing her professional photography expertise, quickly identified inconsistencies such as unnatural head angles and disparate lighting, concluding the photos were doctored. Lu Yuanfeng agreed, noting the skillful and expensive nature of the fabrication suggested Xiao Xiao had offended a powerful individual. He highlighted the challenge of finding the original photos among the vast online content, calling it a "needle in a haystack." However, Mosheng suddenly remembered seeing the original, unedited photos on a professional photography forum.
