Resumen del episodio 31 de My Sunshine
> Resúmenes de My Sunshine
He Yimei traveled to a rural area in Jiangsu to investigate the psychological well-being of left-behind children. She observed a young boy, Xiao Qi, sitting by a bridge, idly throwing stones into the river. He seemed withdrawn and shared that he missed his mother and felt bullied by other children, indicating his long-term loneliness and reluctance to communicate with strangers.
He Yimei learned that in this area, most young people work in other regions, leaving their children with older family members who are often too busy with farming to provide adequate care, which can lead to harm for these children. Following Xiao Qi's footsteps, He Yimei arrived at a run-down courtyard where five children, all around ten years old, were playing by themselves.
As she peered into a window hoping to find an adult, a handsome man approached and tapped her shoulder. Startled, He Yimei mistook him for a troublemaker and swung her bag at him. The children quickly intervened, telling her not to hit their Teacher Zhang, revealing her misunderstanding. Teacher Zhang then realized Xiao Qi was missing, and He Yimei confirmed it was the same boy she had seen earlier.
Together, they searched and found Xiao Qi under a large tree at the village entrance, a spot where he often waited for his parents. Teacher Zhang patiently spoke to Xiao Qi, gently chiding him for wandering off and promising that his mother would return if he learned a song. He Yimei, curious about Teacher Zhang's connection with the children, learned that he was a musician who had come to the village the previous year to collect folk songs.
He was deeply moved by the children's longing for their parents and decided to spend his holidays with them, serving as their tutor. He explained that these children were lonely, their parents absent all year, and their grandparents often overwhelmed with farming duties. Teacher Zhang hoped to replace their longing for parents with his beloved music. Inspired by his dedication, He Yimei, a journalist, offered to join his efforts.
They introduced themselves as Zhang Xu and He Yimei, becoming like-minded partners in the "Music Village." Meanwhile, Xiao Xiao went for another medical re-examination, where the doctor confirmed she was not pregnant, citing an error in the initial pregnancy test. The doctor reassured them that they were young and had plenty of opportunities to have children.
Feeling relieved, Xiao Xiao told Lu Yuanfeng that since there was no baby, their accidental relationship should end, and they should go their separate ways. However, Lu Yuanfeng insisted they couldn't just end things, arguing that they had already met each other's parents. He asserted that the absence of a baby only proved his genuine affection for her, unmotivated by circumstances. Over time, Zhang Xu and He Yimei continued to spend time with the children in Music Village.
Zhang Xu noticed a certain disappointment in He Yimei's eyes, similar yet distinct from the children's longing. He Yimei attributed this to her work as a journalist, which often exposed her to unhappy stories. Zhang Xu, however, shared his understanding of the loneliness that comes from an unrequited love, stating that no amount of care can compare to the affection of someone you love. This conversation seemed to bring them closer.
Two years passed, and He Yimei and Zhang Xu celebrated their wedding. Zhao Mosheng, now with long hair, served as their official photographer. During the ceremony, Zhang Xu expressed his gratitude to He Yimei, recalling meeting her two years prior and proposing three months ago. He vowed to make her happy, deeply believing that their shared dreams and persistence made her the woman he wanted to respect, protect, and cherish for life.
Following the wedding, He Yichen brought He Yimei's wedding candies to his law firm to share with colleagues. Lao Yuan, upon hearing about another marriage, jokingly expressed his frustration about still being single. In his married life, He Yichen often used Zhao Mosheng as a convenient excuse. When female clients or friends invited him out for late-night drinks, he would politely decline, claiming his wife was strict and required him to be home by seven p. m.
daily, or that she was particular about his drinking. Lao Yuan often teased him about this, remarking that He Yichen had turned his wife into a "famous shrew" within their community. He Yichen, unfazed, simply stated that self-discipline was beneficial for the family. Around this time, Meiting, He Yichen's assistant, was accepted into a prestigious university and planned to study abroad for two years. Her boyfriend strongly disapproved, and He Yichen also gently tried to dissuade her from going.
Meiting, however, argued that if He Yichen could wait seven years for Zhao Mosheng, why couldn't her boyfriend wait two years for her? She believed that if he couldn't, it meant he didn't truly love her. He Yichen responded by explaining that pursuing one's dreams is a personal right, but using time as a test to prove love only leads to wasted years.
Later that evening, He Yichen returned home to find Zhao Mosheng lying in bed, reading a book with her hair still wet. She playfully explained that she knew he would be home soon to dry her hair for her. As He Yichen blow-dried her long hair, Mosheng quipped that he was the one who asked her to grow it out, and since it grew after their marriage, it was legally "community property" that he was obligated to maintain.
He Yichen merely chuckled at her elaborate, albeit flawed, logic. Mosheng was engrossed in a transmigration novel and asked He Yichen what he would do if he could travel back in time to when he was fourteen. He Yichen pointed out he would have been thirteen and still underage. Mosheng then declared that she would ensure they attended the same high school and "take him down much earlier."
He Yichen playfully retorted that he wouldn't have fallen for her at such a young age. He Yichen then mused that if he could genuinely go back in time, he would prefer to return to when he was nineteen. This thought prompted a flashback to his and Zhao Mosheng's college days. A young Zhao Mosheng was stealthily taking photos of He Yichen. When confronted, she initially pretended to be photographing the scenery, but then admitted to taking his picture.
He Yichen tried to walk away, but she stopped him, demanding his name and department so she could give him the photo. He Yichen, somewhat annoyed, said he didn't need it, but Mosheng threatened to print the photo and inquire among the thousands of students on campus until she found him. Impressed by her determination, He Yichen finally revealed his name: "He Yichen, International Law, a sophomore." From that day on, Zhao Mosheng relentlessly followed He Yichen around campus.
She once presented him with the printed photo, proudly pointing out its good lighting. He Yichen simply took the photo, stating it was his property. When she protested, he humorously challenged her, asking if she truly wished to debate photo ownership with a law student. She then demanded a meal in compensation for the printing costs. Mosheng went on to formally introduce herself, Zhao Mosheng, and explained the poetic origin of her name.
He Yichen revealed he already knew, having seen her name written on the back of the photo. He challenged her claim of following him for the canteen's sweet and sour ribs by recalling that just two days prior, she had claimed to be following fish-flavored pork slices, and poached fish before that, which wasn't even served on that particular weekday. Caught in her playful deception, Mosheng was impressed by his deduction skills.
Amused by her persistence, He Yichen decided to "exercise his rights in advance." He invited her to share the sweet and sour ribs, effectively accepting her pursuit and marking the true beginning of their relationship. Zhao Mosheng's face lit up, finally feeling like He Yichen's girlfriend for real.
