Resumen del episodio 28 de My Sunshine
> Resúmenes de My Sunshine
Yi Chen asked Mo Sheng why she hadn't returned home during their difficult time abroad, to which Mo Sheng replied that perhaps she didn't want to confront her father's death, especially after Yi Chen had been so harsh with her. Yi Chen then revealed that he had processed an American visa that year, intending to find her. Mo Sheng asked if that was his purpose. Meanwhile, INSO's stock continued its decline, plummeting by five percent.
News reports indicated that the company's personnel were now required to engage with authorities and submit all financial reports from 2008 to the SEC. During a conference call, Ying Hui's legal team expressed profound concern, highlighting that INSO was a listed company, not solely his private venture. They criticized his acquisitions of several Chinese companies that year as impulsive decisions that had destabilized the share price.
Ying Hui, facing mounting pressure, instructed Linda to postpone the publication of the Q2 2014 financial statements and suspend the share repurchase plan. He also directed his team to prioritize dealing with a federal investigation, acknowledging concerns that "that incident" (implied to be the forged divorce) could become another public scandal for INSO.
Jason, Yi Chen's friend and lawyer, informed Yi Chen that the notary involved in Mo Sheng's fake divorce had lost his job a long time ago and was now a known gambler. Jason suggested they visit a casino where the man frequently appeared, hoping to find him. Yi Chen agreed but advised Jason to change his attire for the casino.
At the casino, Jason introduced himself and Yi Chen as lawyers to Mr. Wolf, the notary, explaining they wanted him to testify about unprofessional ethics concerning a non-existent divorce certificate. Mr. Wolf, openly admitting he frequently engaged in such illicit activities, quickly saw an opportunity to gain more money. He declared he would rather speak with the chief attorney of the "generous INSO CEO," believing they could offer a much higher price for his testimony.
Unbeknownst to Mr. Wolf, Yi Chen recorded their entire conversation with a pen, capturing his explicit demand for more money from INSO's CEO. Jason confirmed the recording's clarity and potency, noting they now needed to uncover Mr. Wolf's current legal troubles. Concurrently, Xiao Xiao, a model, was busy with a photoshoot. Lu Yuanfeng, who had been secretly observing her, fled when she noticed him, seeming troubled by their recent intimate encounter.
During a makeup break, Xiao Xiao suddenly felt nauseous and vomited after smelling the black rice porridge her assistant offered for her stomach. Lu Yuanfeng, observing her, initially assumed she was inducing vomiting to maintain her figure. Xiao Xiao, however, denied it, insisting she was sick and that her natural beauty didn't require such extreme measures.
After another bout of nausea following a sip of water, a knowing look passed between Xiao Xiao and Lu Yuanfeng, and her assistant remarked that she was starting to suspect Xiao Xiao was pregnant. After a pregnancy test confirmed Xiao Xiao's pregnancy, Lu Yuanfeng, after fortifying himself with half a bottle of wine, finally broke the news to his parents that he was getting married.
His parents, initially anxious, were relieved and pleased, assuming his fiancée was He Yimei, a respected TV anchor they highly approved of. They even suggested he invite her for dinner the following Friday. However, Lu Yuanfeng shattered their expectations by revealing he had broken up with He Yimei and was marrying Xiao Xiao, the model who was pregnant, leaving his parents utterly stunned.
Yi Chen returned home in the same distinct outfit he had worn to the casino, amusing Mo Sheng, who burst into laughter. Although Yi Chen intended to change, Mo Sheng playfully insisted they go to a bar together. At the bar, a woman approached Yi Chen, attempting to engage him, but he politely stated he was with his wife. Mo Sheng then jokingly interjected, claiming to be his sister.
Mo Sheng questioned Yi Chen if he frequented such establishments, to which he earnestly replied it was his first time. Mo Sheng's mother, still pondering why Yi Chen's face seemed so familiar, suddenly recalled a past incident involving a construction unit head named He Hanshan, who had repeatedly demanded payment from her husband.
Her husband had explained that he had paid the general contractor in full, but the money was never passed on to He Hanshan, who was in dire straits with numerous debts and a seriously ill wife. Mo Sheng's mother remembered He Hanshan's tragic death after he fell down stairs while being pursued by creditors.
Prompted by these memories, she decided to seek help from her neighbor, Xingfang, whose son-in-law worked with household registrations, to find out the name of He Hanshan's son. Jason successfully convinced Mr. Wolf to cooperate, offering him a free, professional defense lawyer in exchange for his confession about Ying Hui having paid him to forge a divorce certificate.
Jason highlighted Ying Hui's current corporate troubles, impending bankruptcy, and potential imprisonment, emphasizing that Ying Hui would be unable to provide further financial support. Faced with these realities, Mr. Wolf agreed to testify. Jason immediately contacted INSO's legal team to arrange a meeting with Ying Hui, informing him that Mo Sheng was in the United States and they possessed crucial evidence, including Mr. Wolf's testimony. At the meeting, Ying Hui confronted Jason, accusing him of exploiting his current difficulties.
Jason then presented the video of Mr. Wolf's confession. Faced with undeniable proof, Ying Hui fell silent. Yi Chen then presented a comprehensive divorce agreement outlining all terms, including child visitation, custody, support, alimony, and property division. He urged Ying Hui to sign it, explaining his actions were purely defensive due to his concern for Mo Sheng's feelings. Yi Chen also revealed that Mo Sheng was unaware of the evidence and still hoped Ying Hui would initiate the divorce.
He even offered to let Mo Sheng believe Ying Hui took the initiative to spare her emotional distress, remembering the kindness Mo Sheng showed Ying Hui in America. Ying Hui and Mo Sheng later met at the location of their first encounter in Los Angeles. Ying Hui asked why she hadn't informed him of her arrival a week prior. Mo Sheng directly stated her purpose: she wanted to finalize their divorce, threatening to sue if he refused.
Ying Hui countered that American divorce law required valid reasons and mutual consent, implying she couldn't unilaterally dissolve the marriage. Mo Sheng explained her desire to move forward with her upcoming wedding without regret, reiterating that their marriage was merely nominal, solely for the sake of an innocent child, and she wished for it to end as simply as it began. Ying Hui disagreed, admitting he had personal feelings for her from the start.
Mo Sheng inquired if he was referring to Yi Chen, but Ying Hui clarified that the Mo Sheng he once held in his heart had "disappeared a long time ago." Seeing Mo Sheng's remorse, Ying Hui agreed to the divorce. He acknowledged her desire for a simple ending, presented her with an already signed divorce agreement, assured her it was definitive this time, and wished her happiness.
Afterward, Mo Sheng expressed relief to Yi Chen that Ying Hui had seemingly taken the initiative to sign the divorce papers, though she still found it a little strange. Yi Chen, maintaining the deception, suggested Ying Hui simply had a change of heart.
Feeling fortunate from the smooth resolution, Mo Sheng playfully tried to convince Yi Chen to go to a casino to win money for their wedding, to which Yi Chen jokingly questioned his financial capacity for marriage and her dowry. Mo Sheng then decided they should return home immediately to plan their wedding, declaring she would never return to America. Linda informed Ying Hui that Tong Xinying had called, announcing her decision to divorce.
Ying Hui expressed surprise, questioning what could have led her to take such a risk, as he believed his signals before leaving Shanghai were not strong enough, and any rational person would have given up. Linda suggested that the "bait" of a faint possibility, combined with Xinying's gambling nature, might have prompted her decision. Ying Hui stated he wouldn't feel guilty if Xinying divorced, believing he would have saved her husband.
When Linda asked if he wanted her to intervene, he simply replied, "No, let her get a divorce," and when pressed further, stated, "There's nothing else." Later, Ying Hui confessed to Linda that he suddenly detested his unscrupulous self and lamented that he would likely have to continue down that path.
Back in China, as Xiao Xiao prepared for a photoshoot, Lu Yuanfeng meticulously supervised her, recommending plant-based makeup suitable for pregnant women, providing comfortable flat shoes, and offering healthy snacks. When Xiao Xiao mentioned plans for Japanese food with a colleague, including sashimi, Lu Yuanfeng emphatically forbade it, insisting he would pick her up for a nutritious meal.
His overbearing concern quickly exasperated Xiao Xiao, who, annoyed, demanded her high heels and impatiently told him to return to work, reminding him that she needed to maintain a good mood.
