Xie Xinxu prepares a diverse breakfast to tempt Wu Nongyu, who has lost her appetite. He uses his house keys as leverage, promising her a chance to take them if she finishes her meal. Nongyu complies but fails to find the keys on him within his one-minute limit. When he patronizingly offers more time in exchange for more food, she reaches her limit and knocks the meal away.
Xie Xinxu remains unbothered, claiming her anger won't change his feelings for her. In a sudden shift, Nongyu pushes him into a chair and kisses him passionately, only to pull away coldly a moment later. She mockingly asks if her "performance" was worth ten minutes of his time to play another round of his "key-finding game." A message soon summons Xie Xinxu to the Cat Ears Cafe at 11:00 AM.
Before leaving, he takes two key fragments as insurance, threatening to destroy them if Nongyu tries to escape. At the cafe, he meets a former subordinate of Wu Siyuan. The man reveals the dark truth: Director Xia was obsessed with the high-activity Affinity B Virus in Xie Xinxu’s body and ordered his parents to be brought in by any means. When his parents refused to cooperate, the agents lost control and murdered them.
Director Xia then sent Wu Siyuan to "clean up" the scene and take Xie Xinxu under the guise of a criminal investigation, leading to years of brutal, secret training. The dying subordinate confesses this to clear his conscience before he passes away. Back at the house, Nongyu finds Li Xiang’s phone and unlocks it using her brother’s birthday.
She discovers that the package containing the video of Wu Siyuan’s cruel training of Xie Xinxu was actually sent to her by Xie Xinxu himself. She realizes his entire presence in her life was a calculated plot to drive a wedge between her and her brother to achieve his revenge. Overwhelmed by the betrayal, she becomes oblivious to her surroundings and forgets to turn off the stove while boiling water.
Xie Xinxu returns to find the house filled with carbon monoxide. He rescues an unconscious Nongyu, and Director Ding arrives to provide medical aid. Her condition is dire; the Affinity A Virus is ravaging her immune system, causing a life-threatening fever. Director Ding explains that her body is too weak for a standard pact and suggests a blood exchange, using Xie Xinxu’s high-concentration B Virus to suppress her A Virus. Xie Xinxu immediately agrees to the procedure.
When the exchange initially fails to revive her and the monitors signal her body's decline, a devastated Xie Xinxu pleads for her to wake up. He kisses her through his tears, and miraculously, the alarms subside as her vitals stabilize. Overwhelmed with relief, he weeps and thanks her for choosing to stay with him.
