The Grand Commandant learned that 28 YLBL members in the city had been burned, bringing the total number of disposed YLBL members to 48, which matched the number present on New Year's Eve. However, he found it strange that five YLBL members in the dungeon of Ningcheng Dept. were still alive, not burned, and had gradually returned to normal. He questioned how they could possibly be normal.

For three days, Tang Qianyue remained unconscious, her condition deeply worrying Ling Changfeng, who stayed by her bedside, pleading for her to awaken. Meanwhile, a paper kite arrived in Lingtian City. Ling Changfeng applied a secret potion to the kite and upon reading the hidden message, confirmed his suspicion: the Grand Commandant was indeed behind the recent actions concerning the YLBL members in Lingtian City, remarking that it was "the same style as before."

When Tang Qianyue finally woke and walked out of the room, Ling Changfeng, overjoyed, tossed aside the kite he held and rushed to embrace her tightly. Both were moved to tears of relief. Tang Qianyue assured him, "I woke up successfully." Ms. Yuan, arriving with dinner, witnessed their emotional reunion and, smiling with contentment, quietly withdrew to give them privacy.

Despite Tang Qianyue's recovery, Ling Changfeng privately expressed his concern to Ms. Yuan that Tang Qianyue's current physical condition might impact their plans. Ms. Yuan, sharing his worry, looked troubled. Tang Qianyue, on her part, felt immense gratitude towards Bao Zhu for having saved her life twice. Ling Changfeng agreed, suggesting that once their child was born, they would visit Bao Zhu with the child to express their profound thanks, to which Tang Qianyue readily agreed.

Seeing that Tang Qianyue might be hungry, Ling Changfeng went with Ms. Yuan to prepare food, urging Tang Qianyue to rest. While Ling Changjin was out, Bao Zhu approached Kun Qing to ask about the identity of the woman in the secret room, specifically Ling Changjin's elder sister. Kun Qing refused to divulge the information, even when Bao Zhu showed her scarred hand and pleaded, saying she had lost so much blood without knowing whom she was saving.

Just then, Ling Changjin returned and immediately sent Bao Zhu away, stating he had private matters to discuss with Kun Qing. Bao Zhu, however, hid and overheard Ling Changjin instructing Kun Qing to check on Tang Qianyue, mentioning that the Mokui flower petal rain had cleared all YLBL members in the city.

Realizing that Mokui flowers could kill YLBL members, Bao Zhu grew worried for Tang Qianyue's safety and felt relieved that she had given the Kirin blood to Ling Changfeng earlier. She resolved to find an opportunity to visit Tang Qianyue. Ling Changfeng reassured Tang Qianyue that Bao Zhu had been informed of her recovery through a letter Ms. Yuan delivered.

When Tang Qianyue, feeling better, attempted to help with household chores in Ms. Yuan's absence, Ling Changfeng gently stopped her, insisting that she focus on her pregnancy while he handled all the tasks. He even humorously traded his sword for a broom, diligently sweeping while Tang Qianyue, amused, playfully pointed out missed spots. To further pamper her, Ling Changfeng secretly practiced cooking and surprised her with a meal he prepared.

Tang Qianyue, realizing he had taken on all the household duties she once performed, felt deeply cherished. She shared that she now understood Auntie Hong's past boasts about her husband, acknowledging that such attentive care truly brought the greatest happiness. Ling Changfeng, in turn, expressed his happiness, reflecting on her tireless efforts over the past three years.

Tang Qianyue praised his cooking, finding it surprisingly delicious and asking if he had been secretly practicing, to which he modestly replied, "Just a little." On a pleasant day, Ling Changfeng surprised Tang Qianyue with wildflowers he picked from the back hill, then whisked her away to a bamboo forest, promising to finish her sewing later. There, he performed a martial arts demonstration, creating a beautiful "bamboo leaf rain" for her.

He explained that since there were no flowers for a petal rain, he hoped that one day, when Mokui flowers bloomed, she could bathe under their petals like everyone else. Tang Qianyue was deeply touched, declaring that she would tell all her neighbors she had the best husband in the world. That evening, Tang Qianyue felt an itch and asked Ling Changfeng to scratch her back, realizing it had been a long time since she had bathed.

She suggested calling Auntie Hong for help, but Ling Changfeng offered to bathe her himself. Tang Qianyue initially felt embarrassed, but Ling Changfeng reassured her, reminding her that as a couple soon to be parents, there was no need for shyness. As her clothes were removed, Tang Qianyue's hand instinctively drifted to her YLBL member mark.

Looking at the beautiful night sky, Tang Qianyue confided in Ling Changfeng about a dream she had on New Year's Eve, where good things turned to terrible reality. She expressed her fear that their current happiness might also be a dream. Ling Changfeng firmly assured her, "This is not a dream, but a reality."
