Wange and Feng Muchen were picking out clothes, and as Feng Muchen measured a dress on Wange, she experienced a sudden sense of familiarity. However, she quickly dismissed it, attributing the feeling to the novel's wealthy protagonist, Ye Wange, who would undoubtedly be accustomed to custom tailoring services. Feng Muchen, who had hoped Wange's past memories were resurfacing, felt a pang of disappointment upon hearing her explanation.
Later, Wange and Feng Muchen discovered Shen Lingzhu and Chen Yin engaged in an illicit affair in a fitting room. They quickly took out their phones to gather evidence but accidentally made a noise, causing Shen Lingzhu and Chen Yin to flee in a panic. Wange expressed frustration at failing to secure any concrete proof, but Feng Muchen playfully suggested they had at least learned some new kissing techniques, then slowly moved closer to Wange.
At the company, everyone was preparing for the arrival of Mr. Jackson. Yuan Yuan reminded Wange that her previous trial sales had been successful and suggested increasing the stock for the upcoming major promotion festival. Wange approached Director Chen Yin to discuss adding a production line, but he offered various excuses and evasions. Learning of Wange's business struggles, Feng Muchen realized the company was trying to hinder her progress by denying her a production line.
He offered to let her use Feng's production lines. However, Wange wished to leverage Ye's resources to help Feng's, not to rely on Feng's production lines for her own projects. During a company meeting, Wange presented her Orange Cube proposal for online sales. Despite her compelling presentation, the other directors showed little support. Suddenly, Mr. Jackson entered the room. He highly praised Wange's innovative approach, particularly her "lucky and beautiful" design, which he and his assistant Lisa found appealing.
Director Chen Yin attempted to claim credit, stating Wange's plan was "out" and presenting his own, but Mr. Jackson immediately corrected him, declaring Wange's proposal approved. Mr. Jackson then complimented Wange and expressed regret about not meeting her at a summer camp, hinting at a future private discussion before excusing himself and Lisa to leave. With Mr. Jackson's endorsement, Wange successfully secured the much-needed production line from the now-compliant directors.
Upon returning home, Wange excitedly recounted her triumph to Feng Muchen. She noticed he was acting suspiciously and sweating, claiming he had been working out. She also detected an unfamiliar perfume scent on him, which was not his usual fragrance. Growing suspicious, she decided to covertly investigate the reason behind Feng Muchen's strange behavior. The next day, Wange brought an iced Americano to Mr. Jackson, thanking him for his help.
She "accidentally" spilled the coffee on him and subtly confirmed that the perfume he wore was indeed different from the scent she had detected on Feng Muchen. She immediately apologized for her clumsiness. Mr. Jackson, surprisingly calm, forgave her, saying she was "beautiful." As he left, he remarked that he hoped she wouldn't spill coffee on her boyfriend and advised her to "do housework well" and "be good to your future husband," which reignited Wange's suspicions.
She pursued him, but he quickly evaded her. Determined to get to the bottom of Feng Muchen's odd behavior, Wange visited him at Feng's company. Yun Yi spotted her approaching and quickly alerted Feng Muchen, who was in the middle of changing clothes and had his trousers unbuttoned. He hastily tried to compose himself. When Wange entered his office, she noticed he was sitting unusually still and asked if he was feeling unwell.
Yun Yi, seeing Feng Muchen's predicament, tried to distract Wange by dramatically singing and commenting on the lovely weather. Wange, however, cut straight to the chase, asking Feng Muchen if he had her perfume on him, directly implying she suspected him of being with other women at the office. Feng Muchen, clearly flustered, asked if she was trying to catch him in the act.
