She quickly ran to find Gu Chenyu, who showed her his own matching ring and told her they were going to get their marriage certificate. Xia Xiaoning, still processing the suddenness, admitted she had fallen asleep the night before and thought the proposal was a dream. She playfully insisted Gu Chenyu propose again, saying she couldn't miss such an important moment.
Gu Chenyu, however, dismissed her idea, telling her she was "dreaming on." He then produced matching outfits and instructed her to put them on so they could take their registration photos, revealing his "premeditated" plan. Xia Xiaoning affectionately called him a "liar" but followed him. Meanwhile, Jin Yao woke Xie Fei by playing a video of him drunkenly speaking aloud.

As they brought the characters' emotions to life—Lin Mohan's long-awaited joy and Gu Zixuan's fear of the moment being a dream, promising an eternal bond—their own impending marriage mirrored the on-screen union. After delivering her character's lines, Xia Xiaoning asked Gu Chenyu how she sounded, and he tenderly replied, "You sound sweet." Some time later, back at the recording studio, two children were playfully bickering while reading a script, one of them even quoting "you sound sweet."
Their argument about privacy and apologies mirrored their parents' earlier interactions.
