Yihua Group, a famous construction company in Haishi City, is holding an exhibition of works and manuscripts by internationally renowned spatial designer Mr. Taylor. It was originally a good opportunity for Yihua Group to expand its influence, but it was messed up by Bu Ran. She wanted to expose Taylor in public for stealing her work and claiming it as his own. As a result, she was discovered and chased by security guards.
When she was cornered by the chase, she directly entered the men's restroom to hide. There, she happened to encounter Lu Cenyang, who was negotiating terms with Chairman Hua, the actual controller of Yihua Group. Lu Cenyang accused Yihua Group of operating manipulatively, deliberately setting traps to exploit its partners. Chairman Hua didn't take Lu Cenyang seriously, until Lu Cenyang played a recording over the phone.
Chairman Hua's grandson, Yi Zihe, colluded with others, ultimately allowing Yihua Group's unfinished building not only to pass inspection, but also to achieve a sky-high land value. And these were all fabricated results. This was also Lu Cenyang's trump card in his negotiation with her. Chairman Hua reluctantly agreed to Lu Cenyang's terms. Bu Ran cornered Lu Cenyang in the restroom, finally escaping the security guards' pursuit. However, her dishevelled appearance made Lu Cenyang wary.
He took pictures of Bu Ran with his phone, to prevent her from pulling a "honey trap" scheme on him. Bu Ran tried to grab his phone to delete the photos. As they wrestled, Bu Ran's clothes were torn. Lu Cenyang had no choice but to take off his jacket and put it on her. He also said that if everything went smoothly and nothing happened, he would delete the photos.
If she didn't believe him, his business card was in the jacket, and she could contact him then. Lu Cenyang walked out of the restroom, and ran into Yi Zihe head-on. Yi Zihe resented Lu Cenyang because of the secret filming, and planned to bring people to teach him a lesson. Lu Cenyang was fearless, confident in his fighting skills and wanting to fight back.
Unexpectedly, Bu Ran walked out, using the threat of live streaming the exposure as a cover, and easily dealt with Yi Zihe. In return, Lu Cenyang deleted the photos in front of her. Yi Mincai, the General Manager of Yihua Group, was scolded by his mother, Chairman Hua, for his incompetence. Bu Ran pushed the door open and entered. It turned out she was the daughter of Chairman Hua's eldest son, Yi Minde.
Yi Mincai complained that Bu Ran had slandered Taylor for stealing her design work and ruined the manuscript exhibition. Bu Ran, on the other hand, complained to her grandmother (Chairman Hua) that her second uncle's family were being outwardly obedient but inwardly disloyal. They had cut off her student loan just before her graduation, and also allowed her tutor Taylor to molest her under the guise of helping with tuition fees.
Unexpectedly, Chairman Hua was unconcerned, openly defended Yi Mincai in front of them, and even wanted to slap Bu Ran. Bu Ran's mother, Bu Huiyun, stepped forward to shield her daughter from the slap. Bu Ran was furious, and pointed out to her face that her father had taken the blame and served time for the Yi family. Chairman Hua, however, pushed the responsibility onto Yi Minde. Bu Huiyun fainted on the spot out of anger.
Bu Ran had no choice but to immediately rush her to the hospital for emergency treatment. Fortunately, Bu Huiyun was not seriously injured, but the hospital expenses became a problem. With no other option, Bu Ran had to seek help from her grandmother. She claimed that she wanted to become a valuable person to Yihua Group, and that she could go to Lu Cenyang's Pinshang Group to be an informant.
Chairman Hua thought she might not be capable, and told her to talk about terms after she had taken action. At the Haishi City Construction Industry Summit, Lu Cenyang made a spectacular appearance. Pinshang Group emerged out of nowhere three years ago, and in three years, it had developed to the point where it could compete with Yihua Group, earning the admiration of industry insiders.
Bu Ran overheard her second aunt calling to arrange a honey trap to ruin Lu Cenyang's reputation. She decided to use this opportunity to gain Lu Cenyang's trust. When Bu Ran arrived at the scene, she happened to see a woman named Carry bothering Lu Cenyang. She figured that must be the woman her second aunt had paid off. Carry had put something in the wine, and was using seductive tactics, trying to get Lu Cenyang to drink the wine.
Unexpectedly, Bu Ran's arrival disrupted her plan. Bu Ran drank the wine for Lu Cenyang. Lu Cenyang took the opportunity to leave the venue with her. After the effects of the drug kicked in, Bu Ran became very proactive and affectionate towards Lu Cenyang in various ways. Only then did Lu Cenyang realize that Carry had put something in his wine.
He was somewhat grateful to Bu Ran for saving him, but he didn't quite understand why Bu Ran had saved him. Lu Cenyang finally managed to bring Bu Ran home. Bu Ran left several red marks on his neck from kissing. The next morning, after waking up, Bu Ran started roaring. Lu Cenyang had already prepared a way to handle it. Bu Ran immediately became obedient after seeing the surveillance footage.
She shamelessly tried to exchange this for an opportunity to enter Pinshang Group. But Lu Cenyang did not agree. He stated that Pinshang Group was not a place where anyone could enter just because they wanted to.
