Cheng Zheng came up with an idea, suggesting he and Su Yunjin conduct their survey at internet cafes. He had already spoken to several in the area, with a few agreeing to let them conduct questionnaires. Su Yunjin was surprised she hadn't thought of it, realizing that internet cafe users would be key targets for their social platform.

Cheng Zheng, pleased, warned her they would have little rest in the coming days, working on the streets by day and in internet cafes at night, but assured her they would finish before the company's team building event. Su Yunjin, reminding him they were "in the same boat," agreed to join. After completing the lengthy task, Cheng Zheng took the stack of completed questionnaires from a tired Su Yunjin, who insisted she was fine.

She planned to finish the data statistics that night, as the team building event was the next day and they were running out of time. Cheng Zheng pleaded with her not to overexert herself, arguing that others hadn't finished their work either, but Su Yunjin was determined to complete her own tasks. Noticing he had missed many calls, she urged him to go.

Cheng Zheng admitted he had to leave before someone "exploded," but then, to her surprise, he grabbed her work. He declared he would take the documents and leave her with nothing to do if she didn't go back to her room to rest. Su Yunjin protested, asking who would be responsible if he lost company property, but Cheng Zheng firmly stated he would take responsibility for anything as long as she rested.

She reluctantly agreed to rest if he returned her work, and he made her promise. Cheng Zheng then made his way to his uncle Zhang Jinmeng's house. As he entered, he overheard Zhang Jinmeng fiercely scolding Zhang Yue about her reputation, her attempt to replace Uncle Su with an employee who had only been with the company for two years, and accusing her of treating his company like child's play.

Cheng Zheng, realizing Zhang Yue was also there, tried to stay out of the argument but was summoned in by his uncle. He attempted to mediate, urging Zhang Yue not to anger her father further and asking Zhang Jinmeng to calm down. Zhang Jinmeng then turned his anger on Cheng Zheng, questioning why he hadn't answered his mother's many calls and what he had been "busy" doing outside.

He knew about Cheng Zheng's work on the streets, criticizing him for neglecting his own company. Zhang Yue interjected, arguing that her efforts in building the internet department over two years counted for nothing, and asking if he still valued his "useless old employees" more than her. Zhang Jinmeng snapped at her to mind her attitude. Zhang Yue, frustrated, declared she couldn't communicate with him.

Zhang Jinmeng warned her against trying to change the department manager and ordered her to break up with her boyfriend. Cheng Zheng, seeing Zhang Yue storm out, said he was going to check on her, ignoring his uncle's demand for him to stay. Inside, Cheng Zheng's mother, who was also present, chided her brother for being too harsh on Zhang Yue.

Zhang Jinmeng retorted that she spoiled the children, like his own wife, blaming them for their children's behavior and complaining that her husband did nothing to control Cheng Zheng. Cheng Zheng's mother then expressed her own frustration, recounting how her husband, despite usually being stern with Cheng Zheng, was useless in this situation. She shared how he claimed Cheng Zheng's personality was just like hers – unstoppable once he decided on something.

Zhang Jinmeng couldn't resist bringing up his sister's own elopement to Shaoxing years ago. Meanwhile, Cheng Zheng caught up with Zhang Yue outside, who told him to stop following her, accusing him of finding amusement in her predicament. Cheng Zheng denied it, saying he was merely trying to advise her. Zhang Yue, still fuming, called her father a stubborn old fossil who refused to adapt.

Cheng Zheng suggested she talk to him calmly, noting their constant arguments, and criticized her for not growing. Zhang Yue retorted that Cheng Zheng was no better, always avoiding problems, and warned that her father might eventually interfere with his "intern company." Cheng Zheng apologized, promising not to interfere anymore, but subtly advised her to be patient if she wanted to promote her own people. Just then, Shen Juan arrived in a car.

Cheng Zheng, with clear disapproval, asked Zhang Yue if Shen Juan was the "man she wanted to use." Zhang Yue defiantly asked if there was a problem, then got into the car with Shen Juan after Cheng Zheng sarcastically suggested her uncle was right to scold her for her poor judgment. As Shen Juan greeted Cheng Zheng, Cheng Zheng curtly replied he hoped they would never meet again.

Zhang Yue, frustrated with everyone's interference, told them all to mind their own business. In the car, Shen Juan tried to calm Zhang Yue, advising her to take things slowly and allow her father time to adjust. Zhang Yue, however, expressed her exasperation at constantly having to adapt while her father remained unyielding. She then abruptly asked Shen Juan about his household registration. Shen Juan explained it was with his company after he graduated.

Zhang Yue, determined, instructed him to bring it the next morning to pick her up, stating they were going to the Civil Affairs Bureau. Surprised, Shen Juan asked what she meant, to which Zhang Yue replied, "Either go tomorrow, or never." Back at Mu Dong, Cheng Zheng returned to find Su Yunjin asleep at her desk. He woke her, and she, startled, asked why he was there and if it was already dawn.

Cheng Zheng knew she wouldn't listen to him, so he had returned to scold her. Su Yunjin explained she was almost done and planned to work until dawn to catch the company bus for team building. Cheng Zheng, concerned she wouldn't have time to clean up, decided to take her somewhere she could sleep properly, promising they would leave on time for the bus.

He playfully asked if she didn't trust him, but when she hesitated, he simply took her work documents, leaving her with no choice. Su Yunjin called him "childish and unreasonable," but ultimately had no other option. At his apartment, Su Yunjin felt awkward, offering to sleep on the sofa, but Cheng Zheng reminded her he had two bedrooms and no one needed to sleep on the sofa.

He then playfully teased her, asking if she "liked the feeling of the sofa," causing her to blush and quickly retreat to one of the bedrooms. The next morning, Su Yunjin woke late, finding Cheng Zheng gone. She frantically called a colleague, Li, only to learn that Cheng Zheng had called in sick for her, claiming she was unwell after days of market research and had even been hospitalized.

Li, full of concern, offered to visit her, but Su Yunjin quickly declined, saying she would recover soon and meet him at the office the next day. A text message from Cheng Zheng then appeared on her phone, telling her that a patient should rest well and not worry about other things. Su Yunjin wryly thought that she would indeed have to rest, so as not to waste Cheng Zheng's elaborate efforts.

Meanwhile, Zhang Yue and Shen Juan arrived at the Civil Affairs Bureau. Shen Juan asked if Zhang Yue was having second thoughts. Zhang Yue assured him she wasn't, but remarked that she hadn't even made him propose, making it too easy for him. Shen Juan then knelt and presented two rings, explaining they were all he could afford for now, but promised they could upgrade them in the future.

Zhang Yue, touched, told him she only cared that he wouldn't change his heart, and urged him to save the kneeling for their wedding, as there was a long queue. Before entering, Shen Juan expressed his concern about how their families would react to their hasty marriage. Zhang Yue, however, was defiant, stating they would go home after getting their certificate and she wasn't afraid of arguments, as it wouldn't be the end of the world.

She declared that even if her family wanted them to divorce, she wouldn't, because once married, he was hers. Shen Juan then clarified his stance, explaining that he wanted to avoid conflict with their families. He said his ambition to become a department manager and achieve success was to ensure she wouldn't be looked down upon, and so he wouldn't seem too far beneath her. Zhang Yue called him silly, saying it wasn't about being a "match."

Shen Juan re-emphasized that they weren't in a hurry for a promotion, or for others' approval, or to tell their families. He believed that since they were committed to each other, they should take their time to resolve issues, and he would work hard to earn her parents' trust and approval. He thought it would be better for everyone if they announced their marriage once he had proven himself worthy.

Zhang Yue, appreciating his thoughtfulness, thanked him and expressed her belief that her choice would ultimately be proven right. They then entered the bureau. The next day, Su Yunjin was back at the office. A colleague, Li, distributed photos from the team building event, teasing Cheng Zheng about his height in one of them and giving Su Yunjin a group photo, noting she missed out and that he hadn't kept any negatives.

He asked about her recovery, to which she replied she was fine. Soon after, Cheng Zheng presented Miss Guo with a group photo from the team building. Miss Guo then summoned Su Yunjin and Cheng Zheng to her office. Cheng Zheng immediately defended Su Yunjin's sick leave, claiming he had personally taken her to the hospital.

Miss Guo stated she had reviewed their survey data, and while Cheng Zheng insisted they had personally collected each valid form, hoping it met the Paipai Project's requirements, Miss Guo dismissed a "few hundred forms" as an insufficient sample size. She called their approach "childish" and questioned if this was how they planned to run future promotions. When Cheng Zheng tried to explain that the previous data was problematic, Miss Guo cut him off.

Li tried to defend their hard work, noting their lack of sleep, but Miss Guo retorted that competing with Hengkai wasn't about who slept less. She revealed that Hengkai was their biggest competitor for the Paipai Project. Cheng Zheng and Su Yunjin were surprised, questioning Hengkai's expertise in that industry. Miss Guo explained that Hengkai's internet subsidiary was rapidly growing under the leadership of Zhang Jinmeng's daughter, Zhang Yue, known for her unconventional tactics.

Miss Guo stressed the need for their work to be more meaningful than a small data sample. Li offered to teach them. Su Yunjin, hopeful, asked if this meant they could join the Paipai Project team, promising they would work hard. Miss Guo simply dismissed them, advising them to rest effectively rather than sacrificing sleep for a few hours of work only to fall sick again. Meanwhile, Zhang Yue directly confronted Zhang Jinmeng, who had summoned her.

She tried to lighten the mood, offering him tea and chiding him for his constant frowning. He ignored her attempts and insisted she explain yesterday's events. Zhang Yue, seizing the opportunity, presented a project that Shen Juan had been leading, highlighting its great potential. She requested her father to let Shen Juan manage it to prove his capabilities, offering to temporarily drop the issue of reassigning Uncle Su.

Zhang Jinmeng questioned her bypassing the department manager and assigning such an important project to a junior employee. Zhang Yue defended her approach, stating her dislike for rigid procedures and her preference for using capable individuals. She challenged her father, implying he should remove her from her position if he didn't trust her judgment. Zhang Jinmeng accused her of threatening him, but Zhang Yue argued he was the one doing the threatening.

He conceded, making it his "bottom line": if Shen Juan failed, he would be fired. Zhang Yue confidently asserted that Shen Juan would not fail and thanked her father. She then called Shen Juan to inform him that her father had agreed to let him lead the Paipai Project, assuring him that she knew how to handle her father.

She then "suggested" that for their convenience and to discuss work more easily, Shen Juan should move in with her, emphasizing it was "legal, logical, and convenient." Shen Juan agreed. Later, Shen Juan received a call from his mother, who inquired if he was busy and then enthusiastically tried to set him up with "Uncle Zheng's daughter," a girl three years younger than him.

Shen Juan tried to dismiss her concerns, but his mother persisted, asking if he had a girlfriend and insisting she wanted to "vet" anyone he chose. Shen Juan, excusing himself as busy, quickly ended the call, promising to keep her advice in mind. Separately, Zhou Chang Ming met his son Zhou Ziyi at a cafe. Zhou Ziyi expressed surprise at seeing his father there and jokingly called him "Mr. Zhou," noting his newfound "democracy."

Zhou Chang Ming revealed he wanted to marry Aunty Xiao Tang, saying he felt responsible for her since they had been together for a while and wanted to give her a "proper place." Zhou Ziyi was furious, demanding to know why his father hadn't been responsible for his biological mother and given her a proper place. He declared he had no interest in his father's affairs but would never approve of Aunty Xiao Tang.

Zhou Ziyi stormed out, ignoring his father's calls. Upset, he called Mo Yuhua, asking if she was free to go drinking with him and Jin Zi. That evening, the three friends shared drinks. As they drank heavily, Zhou Ziyi proclaimed Jin Zi his sworn brother, promising to introduce him to Cheng Zheng, and declared Mo Yuhua, whom he affectionately called "Coca-cola classmate," and the rest of them good friends forever.

Mo Yuhua tried to stop Zhou Ziyi from drinking too much, but he insisted. Later that evening, Zhang Yue returned to her apartment to find a meal prepared by a chef Shen Juan had hired. He clarified he hadn't cooked it himself but had arranged for it, apologizing for not being as thoughtful as her. Zhang Yue, seeing the gesture, said they were "even." She then, calling him her "legal husband," proposed a toast to officially celebrate their first day as husband and wife.
