The person who stole the Xiaoyao Jue disguised himself as Gu Yuan. Now that the Xiaoyao Jue was stolen in front of everyone, Li Song'er was furious. She suspected that Wind and Rain Valley was connected to the demonic sect, and the people from Mirror Cloud Manor also spoke up in her defense. They gave Bai Wuxie three days to retrieve the Xiaoyao Jue.
The thief was intercepted by Chu Mengdie on the way, but she was no match for him. She took a palm strike and injured her foot. While she was tending to her injury, Baili stumbled upon her and foolishly thought she was Gu Yuan. Chu Mengdie didn’t correct him and even told Baili to report her. Though afraid, Baili didn’t do so. Instead, he went back to his room to get medicine to treat Chu Mengdie’s wound.
When Chu Mengdie finally told him she wasn’t Gu Yuan, Baili was overjoyed. Chu Mengdie was utterly defeated by Baili’s innocence. Given the situation at Wind and Rain Valley, Nan Wentian was also furious. He declared that whoever retrieved the Xiaoyao Jue would become the new sect leader. This gave Zhou Hang an opportunity, and he hoped to use it to earn favor with his father-in-law. However, he had no real leads.
At this moment, Li Song'er approached him with a plan. She wanted to use Zhou Hang to organize a foot-soaking competition at Wind and Rain Valley.
