Following the Florida Water scandal, Zhu Da Zhuang informs You Xi that although Mr. Sun is the mastermind, the legal representative's identity was falsified, and with no direct evidence linking Mr. Sun to the company, You Xi must shoulder all the blame. Dejected, You Xi confides in Yao Yao, recalling a traumatic incident from his trainee days when a rival had red paint thrown on him during his debut.
He explains that he refused to reconcile when the company later hired that same rival, leading him to quit and pursue acting. Yao Yao mentions Zhu Da Zhuang’s praise for his past triumph over Song Qie Ge, but You Xi dismisses Song Qie Ge as insignificant. Brushing off Yao Yao’s concerns about being blacklisted, You Xi confidently assures her that he is much stronger now.
He then instructs Zhu Da Zhuang to arrange a press conference for the next day to publicly clarify the incident. Meanwhile, Mr. Sun plans to flee overseas, leaving You Xi to face the fallout, a move his rivals see as a desperate attempt to garner sympathy. To celebrate his anticipated exoneration, You Xi treats everyone to dinner.
When a large chicken drumstick is served, Pan Duo claims she is on a diet, while You Xi and Qi Chao both state they dislike chicken, so You Xi gives it to Yao Yao. During the meal, Qi Chao goes to the restroom as an excuse to get away from Pan Duo, but she misinterprets it as a signal for a private chat and follows him.
Outside, when fans ask for a photo with Qi Chao, a jealous Pan Duo argues with them, snatches their phone to take a terrible picture, and then complains about the result. She then clings to Qi Chao’s arm, telling him to hold her tighter as he leads her away. Later, back home, You Xi broaches the topic of kissing, asking Yao Yao if she considers it serious.
He suggests that while it's fine between two willing people, it becomes indecent if one person is drunk. Yao Yao then reveals she saw Pan Duo steal a kiss from him the night he was inebriated, warning him about her potential intentions. Suddenly, Yao Yao notices small red spots on You Xi's neck and hands. A doctor confirms he is having an allergic reaction to mushrooms from dinner, which has caused his vocal cords to swell.
Unable to speak clearly, You Xi cannot attend the press conference. Zhu Da Zhuang persuades a reluctant Yao Yao to take his place, arguing that as the first victim of the faulty Florida Water and as his assistant, her testimony would be the most convincing. On the day of the press conference, Yao Yao, who secretly suffers from agoraphobia, nervously approaches the podium.
She introduces herself as Yuchi Yao Yao, You Xi's assistant, but is met with jeers from the crowd. Despite Zhu Da Zhuang's encouragement, the barrage of camera flashes and reporters' questions about You Xi’s absence overwhelms her. Her mind goes blank, and she flees the stage in a panic, causing chaos and fueling speculation that You Xi is dodging responsibility.
Just as the press conference descends into chaos, with SG Entertainment's representative, Maury, struggling to manage the situation, You Xi dramatically arrives. Having found Yao Yao's anxiety medication at home, he had deduced her fear of public speaking and rushed to the venue. He explains that Yao Yao had an allergic reaction to the Florida Water during the ad shoot and subsequent tests revealed toxic substances, prompting him to terminate the contract and issue warnings.
When a reporter dismisses this as a story without proof, You Xi reveals his trump card: he had paid the fraudulent company three times the stipulated liquidated damages along with the termination notice. He correctly gambled that the greedy Mr. Sun would be unable to resist transferring the large sum, thereby linking himself directly to the company. As a result, Mr. Sun was apprehended at the airport trying to flee with the money.
You Xi announces a lawsuit against the company for fraud and malicious slander, while also taking personal responsibility and promising more diligent scrutiny of future endorsements. After the successful press conference, You Xi immediately searches for Yao Yao. Zhu Da Zhuang laments the lack of evidence against Song Qie Ge but praises You Xi's brilliant strategy.
Learning Yao Yao left without her phone or wallet, Zhu Da Zhuang worries she has run away, but You Xi insists she is too responsible to leave, especially since they haven't finished their "Chancellor Zhong" studies. A false alarm about a suicide attempt at the Ba River sends You Xi rushing over, only to find environmental supervisors. He is relieved to spot Yao Yao standing by the riverbank and rushes to embrace her.
Back home, Yao Yao tearfully confesses her agoraphobia to You Xi and apologizes for ruining the press conference. He gently comforts her, reassuring her it wasn't her fault. Yao Yao explains that her dream has always been to become a teacher, a goal hindered by her condition. Touched by her determination to overcome her fear for his sake, You Xi is confident she will recover.
The next day, You Xi creates a "virtual classroom" at home with plants as students, playfully naming them to help Yao Yao practice. However, when he accidentally pricks his hand on a cactus, the sight of blood triggers a traumatic memory for Yao Yao.
Shortly after, while You Xi is on the phone with a doctor about Yao Yao’s social anxiety, Zhu Da Zhuang calls to inform him that the company has decided to fire her over the press conference incident. Furious, You Xi storms into a board meeting, arguing that her mistake was not severe enough for dismissal and praising her competence.
Mr. Zhang tries to appease him with a lead role in a major period drama, "The Founding of the Three Kingdoms," but You Xi refuses, citing his commitment to Director Wei Ran’s "Chancellor Zhong" and his aversion to period dramas, especially after learning Song Qie Ge is also being considered for a role.
