While You Xi, Yao Yao, and Pan Duo were having a meal, Pan Duo offered her meat to You Xi, who then teased her about being an actress who should watch her weight. Their meal was interrupted when Song Qie Ge arrived uninvited with the media. You Xi's assistant, Yao Yao, quickly intervened, informing the press that You Xi's new film was under wraps and no photos or interviews were allowed.
Song Qie Ge feigned an apology, claiming he'd forgotten they were filming, but then provocatively questioned You Xi's leg injury, implying he faked it to gain sympathy, and disparaged his acting as akin to a children's TV show. The tension stemmed from You Xi, upon becoming SG Entertainment's new top actor, having had Song Qie Ge removed from the company. Song Qie Ge escalated the confrontation by insulting You Xi, calling him "ugly" and "illiterate."
You Xi retaliated by throwing a dictionary at him. Yao Yao stepped in, delivering a sharp rebuke to Song Qie Ge for his provocative behavior. Meanwhile, Song Qie Ge reveled in the fallout, mockingly suggesting he find You Xi new endorsements for products like children's toys or fertilizer, as many of his sponsors were pulling out. The shoot was located at the remote Dabao Mountain Wetlands, much to You Xi's displeasure. However, Yao Yao advised him to adapt to the circumstances, citing historical figures like King Gou Jian and Han Xin who endured great hardship. Reluctantly, You Xi agreed. During the shoot, Yao Yao was severely bitten by mosquitoes. When You Xi applied the endorsed Florida Water to her bites, her irritation worsened. He also took two days off from filming to care for Yao Yao, buying her a pink princess-style bed under the mistaken belief that she liked the color. It was soon confirmed that the Florida Water endorsement was a malicious scheme orchestrated by Song Qie Ge. The company was a shell corporation, and its staff had vanished. As Da Zhuang ordered the filmed advertisement to be deleted, You Xi and Yao Yao set out to investigate the plot. Later, You Xi presented Yao Yao with a fan featuring an authentic painting by the famous artist Zheng Banqiao, which he had commissioned to replace her old one. He gave it to her with the solemn instruction, "If the fan exists, you exist. If the fan is destroyed, you are destroyed," tying her to the precious gift's fate.
