Following the events of the previous night, Pan Duo is discovered hiding in Qi Chao's home. She pleads with him not to kick her out, fabricating a story that her uncle, Zhu Da Zhuang, gets drunk and violent. Qi Chao reluctantly allows her to stay one night in the guest room, on the condition that she remains quiet. Pan Duo happily agrees, promising to leave the next day.
You Xi attends a press conference for the brand Final, celebrating his third year as their spokesperson in China. When a reporter confronts him about his new drama, "The Founding of the Three Kingdoms," being halted due to allegations of historical inaccuracy, You Xi calmly requests time for his team to uncover the truth and asks the media to focus on the event.
He describes the brand's new perfume as reminiscent of "a forest after rainfall," with notes of "vanilla mixed with an earthy scent" and a mysterious quality. After the conference, Yuchi Yao Yao spots two anti-fans defacing a poster of You Xi. She immediately confronts them, launching into a passionate defense of his character and appearance.
She declares that calling You Xi ugly is "one of the biggest jokes in the world," praising his "high nose bridge" and "big eyes that sparkle like the stars." She extols his virtues, describing him as a "perfect idol" who is gentle with fans, considerate of staff, and devoted to his work. You Xi, having just left the venue, overhears her entire speech from a distance and is visibly moved.
Shortly after, a fellow supporter invites Yao Yao to join You Xi's official fan group. Deeply touched by her loyalty, You Xi sends her a text message asking her to be his girlfriend, and she immediately accepts. You Xi drives to Yao Yao's home at once. They meet downstairs, sharing a passionate embrace and kiss, officially beginning their relationship. Meanwhile, Pan Duo devises excuses to extend her stay at Qi Chao's.
After pretending her uncles are unavailable to pick her up, she expresses fear of taking a taxi alone. When Qi Chao offers to drive her, she cleverly points out that he ate the beer-braised duck she ordered, making it illegal for him to drive. When he threatens to call the police to escort her, she again feigns fear of her uncle's drunken anger.
Later, she excitedly reports to Zhu Da Zhuang that she has made "major progress" with Qi Chao, detailing how he ate her food, drank her tea, and used a towel she handed him, though her uncle dismisses these as trivial. Eager to share his romantic news, You Xi first tries to call his agent, Zhu Da Zhuang, who is busy and hangs up.
He then calls his parents, but they comically pass the phone back and forth, refusing to talk to him. Frustrated, You Xi decides to announce his relationship on Weibo, but Yao Yao stops him, reminding him that his contract forbids publicizing relationships. You Xi then decides to share his joy with her father, Yuchi Lin Sen.
However, upon arriving at Yuchi Lin Sen's office, You Xi finds himself completely excluded as Yao Yao and her father become engrossed in a deep academic discussion about historical war strategies, particularly the Battle of Hefei. Pan Duo accompanies Qi Chao to a coffee shop to negotiate with "Dynasty Man," the musician accusing him of plagiarism. Dynasty Man remains adamant, accusing Qi Chao of trying to buy his silence.
When Qi Chao claims he is simply changing his musical style, Dynasty Man points out that the song uses a rare ethnic folk tune from a niche Finnish composer named Lumijan, implying it was stolen. Qi Chao first bluffs that he studied under this composer in Finland, but when pressed, he admits he invented the story.
Qi Chao warns Dynasty Man that the truth will be revealed and he won't be let off easily, which Dynasty Man interprets as a threat. Later, Zhu Da Zhuang informs You Xi and Yao Yao that the script for his drama was leaked after the scriptwriter, struggling with writer's block, got drunk and someone copied the files. The culprit remains unknown.
Distracted, You Xi suddenly kisses Yao Yao and announces their relationship to a stunned Zhu Da Zhuang, who laments that the constant drama is a shock to his system. As Qi Chao and Pan Duo head home, they discover that Dynasty Man has posted a video online, falsely accusing Qi Chao of threatening him and painting himself as a victim of corporate bullying. This further damages Qi Chao's reputation.
Despite Zhu Da Zhuang's advice to lay low, You Xi and Yao Yao decide to support Qi Chao publicly. Yao Yao argues that as best friends, abandoning Qi Chao for self-preservation would be dishonorable. She drafts a supportive Weibo post, which You Xi immediately publishes. Pan Duo pleads with Zhu Da Zhuang to investigate Qi Chao's case. Overwhelmed by You Xi's problems, he initially refuses, telling Pan Duo her pursuit of Qi Chao is a childish fantasy.
However, he reluctantly agrees to help after she threatens to tell her mother about him enjoying her pampering. Zhu Da Zhuang soon discovers that Qi Chao's arranger received a large sum of money two weeks prior. Pan Duo correctly suspects Shen Yiling and confronts her. Shen Yiling coolly admits to the payment but claims it was for a song copyright.
Pan Duo’s attempt to secretly record the confession fails when Shen Yiling points out she never pressed the record button, and she is escorted out by security. Embarrassed, Pan Duo runs into Qi Chao outside. She shows him a video on her phone of him composing and singing the song in question. She claims she happened to record it while looking for the restroom during a previous visit, proving he wrote the music long before Dynasty Man.
This video becomes the crucial evidence that clears Qi Chao's name. You Xi's fans praise him for his loyalty, with some humorously speculating that he and Qi Chao are "true love." Qi Chao drives Pan Duo home. She stalls getting out of the car by pretending her seatbelt is stuck. She then asks if she can come over to record him again the next time he composes, "just in case."
Playfully, she lists the things she'll bring, including a full video setup, pajamas, and her stuffed bunny. Amused, Qi Chao agrees. Overjoyed, Pan Duo happily skips into her home. Watching from his car nearby, You Xi tells Yao Yao that he is simply "creating an opportunity" for the two of them.
