Synopsis
Zhuang Qianxi (Joyce) enters a three-year engagement with Huo Zhi'an (Max) to repay a life-saving favor, quietly enduring a marriage that exists in name only. Everything remains outwardly stable until Huo Zhi’an’s childhood friend Zuo Xiaoluo returns from abroad, and Qianxi finally grows completely disillusioned.
To avoid alerting their families, the two continue maintaining a superficial relationship. During this period, Qianxi meets Huo Zhi’an’s eldest cousin—Huo Yucheng (Victor), chairman of the Huo Group—and gradually comes to suspect that this disciplined, polite, and gentle man may actually be the one who once saved her life.
