> Resúmenes de Pursuit of Jade
As the main force of the Chongzhou Army launches a final assault on Lucheng, Li Huai'an prepares to lead three thousand elite soldiers to strike the enemy’s rear. Despite being gravely wounded and barely able to walk, he remains stubborn in his duty. To save his life, Fan Changyu arrives and orders Jin Yuanbao to knock the unconscious Commandant out.
She then instructs Mister Zhuo to escort him to safety while she takes over the mission to dismantle the rebel stronghold. Fan Changyu arrives on the battlefield with her reinforcements, causing immediate confusion in the enemy ranks. Lord Changxin, Sui Tuo, is stunned to see troops flying He Jingyuan’s banner and orders his men to hold their formation.
Amidst the carnage, Sui Yuanqing reports that while they have reached the city walls, their losses are heavy and they are in desperate need of aid. Xie Zheng soon joins the fray and finds Fan Changyu. They decide to split their forces, with Xie Zheng initially pursuing Sui Tuo while Fan Changyu engages Sui Yuanqing. The confrontation with Sui Yuanqing turns tragic when the Chongzhou soldiers swarm Fan Changyu’s group.
Recognizing the young Man Wu, Sui Yuanqing moves in for the kill. Man Di lunges forward to shield his brother and is fatally wounded by the blade. As Man Di breathes his last, Fan Changyu and her companions are devastated, but the chaos of battle offers no time for grief. Observing the intensifying smoke over Lucheng, Sui Tuo orders Sui Yuanqing to abandon the skirmish and lead his troops to reinforce the city.
Xie Zheng instructs Xie Wu to stay and protect Fan Changyu while he pursues the retreating Sui Yuanqing, eventually defeating him, though the rebel is rescued by his own men. Fan Changyu bravely engages Sui Tuo in a final duel. The experienced general mocks her as a mere nobody, but she holds her ground. When Sui Tuo nearly impales her with his spear, Xie Wu intervenes and takes the blow, suffering a shattered shoulder bone to save her life.
As they clash, Fan Changyu recalls the battlefield lessons taught by Xie Zheng and He Jingyuan, focusing on finesse and flow rather than brute strength. Sui Tuo is shocked to recognize her blade work as the unique style created by the legendary "Two Tigers of the Wei Family." He questions how she could have inherited such a technique when Wei Qilin is long dead.
Realizing the truth of her lineage, Fan Changyu combines these refined movements with her own butcher's knife skills to finally slay the rebel Lord. Although the siege is broken, the victory is heavy with loss. The Great Yin Dynasty mourns the fallen General He Jingyuan, and Fan Changyu is devastated by the death of Man Di. Li Huai'an later berates Fan Changyu for knocking him out, feeling he was robbed of the chance to avenge his master.
However, he fulfills He Jingyuan's final wish by delivering a letter to her before coldly stating that they need not meet again. Because she cannot read all the characters, Fan Changyu has Kang Xiaodan read the letter to her, though she carefully erases the name "Qilin" first to protect the secret. The contents confirm her fears: her father was indeed Wei Qilin, the man infamous for betraying the army at Jinzhou.
She struggles to reconcile the image of her kind father with the traitorous villain described in history and song. Xie Wu survives the battle but is told he may never be able to wield a blade again. Haunted by the tragedy of her lineage and the nightmares of the soldiers she couldn't save, Fan Changyu questions Xie Zheng about the Battle of Jinzhou from seventeen years ago.
Xie Zheng recalls that Wei Qilin was once his father's most trusted and loyal ally, though he is now remembered only as a criminal. Fan Changyu keeps her secret for now, but she asks for permission to offer incense at the upcoming memorial for Xie Linshan, which falls on the same day as He Jingyuan's seventh-day rite.
At the funeral, Li Huai'an reflects on his master’s desire for him to be a loyal official of the state rather than a pawn in the schemes of powerful families. He burns the funeral couplets sent by the rival Li and Wei factions, choosing instead to carry on He Jingyuan’s legacy for the sake of the people. Meanwhile, the surviving Sui Yuanqing hides with his cousin, Liu Wan'er.
When her father attempts to poison him to secure a pardon from the Marquis, Sui Yuanqing discovers the plot and slaughters the entire family, sparing only Wan'er. He is later found by Qi Min, who manipulates the young man's grief by revealing that it was the butcher's daughter, Fan Changyu, who killed his father. Consumed by hatred, Sui Yuanqing prepares to seek his revenge.
