Devastated by Yu Chu's death, Chong Liming vowed to kill Yang Zhen for revenge. Wen Gou and Wagner were also in deep sorrow. Si San discovered transaction documents in a safe, revealing that 500 catties of black powder had been acquired, confirming Mr. Jin's malicious intent to bomb them all at the Ritz Hotel.

Filled with fury, Chong Liming, accompanied by Si San, Wen Gou, Can Yan Xin, and Wagner, stormed the Qingbangtangkou that night, believing Yang Zhen to be hidden there and Mr. Jin involved. Mr. Jin had anticipated their arrival, setting an ambush with Qingbang disciples who surrounded the five men outside the headquarters. A fierce battle ensued as Chong Liming, driven by intense hatred, eliminated the Qingbang members.

Inside, Hua Jiuqing urged Mr. Jin to escape, knowing they were no match for Chong Liming. Mr. Jin, unwilling to forsake his vast enterprise, pleaded with Hua Jiuqing to kill Chong Liming. Hua Jiuqing, however, had seen through Mr. Jin's deceit and confronted him about his plan to bomb her and Chong Liming at the Ritz Hotel. Mr. Jin did not deny it.

Hua Jiuqing agreed to persuade Chong Liming to spare him, but declared it would be the last time she worked for him, stating she would not return. Mr. Jin then stopped her, offering what he called a "farewell drink with your father." Hua Jiuqing realized the drink was poisoned but consumed it with tears, then left. Chong Liming and his group burst into the Qingbangtangkou, met with cannon fire.

Chong Liming swiftly killed two gunners, while the others engaged the remaining Qingbang members. Hua Jiuqing, succumbing to the poison, collapsed at the staircase, spitting blood, yet still struggling to stay conscious. Chong Liming rushed to her side, but before he could react, Yuan Kai emerged from hiding and opened fire. Chong Liming dodged the bullets and, seizing an opportunity, killed Yuan Kai. Chong Liming then confronted Mr. Jin, who, feigning hospitality, offered him a drink.

Chong Liming ignored the offer, demanding to know Yang Zhen's location. Mr. Jin claimed ignorance, prompting Chong Liming, in a fit of rage, to throw his pistol onto the table, ordering Mr. Jin to commit suicide. Mr. Jin picked up the gun and confessed that all events were orchestrated by Zhe Yu.

He explained that after the Regent suppressed the New Army, Zhe Yu became Qingbang's new patron, sending a secret order with three directives: if Chong Liming failed to kill Deqi, Yu Chu was to execute the mission; if Yu Chu disobeyed, the final move was to appoint Yang Zhen as the new Fan Zhu of Yan Shifan.

Mr. Jin then revealed that Chong Liming was merely a disposable pawn in Zhe Yu's eyes, proclaiming that Yan Shifan, once the King's Guard and Imperial Power's Blade, was now a sad joke. With his confession complete, Mr. Jin shot himself. Chong Liming rushed Hua Jiuqing to the hospital, desperately pleading with the doctors to save her. The doctor informed him that arsenic oxide had been found in her system, causing severe poisoning and a deep coma.

Chong Liming, having already lost Yu Chu, implored the doctor not to let him lose another friend. The doctor promised to do his best, and Chong Liming collapsed to the floor in agony. Later, Chong Liming boarded a ship for the capital, carrying Yu Chu's ashes. He poured her ashes into the vast ocean, promising to take her to all the places the sea touches, fulfilling a promise he had made to her.

His mind was adrift with sorrow and uncertainty about his future. He then cast his ring into the sea as a final farewell. Upon returning to the capital with Si San, Wen Gou, Can Yan Xin, and Wagner, Chong Liming burned all the Yan Shifan tokens, declaring the organization dissolved. He told his former comrades to go their separate ways, stating that the world had changed and he was no longer their Fan Zhu.

Chong Liming then left the Shenji camp mansion with Can Yan Xin. Meanwhile, Wagner visited old horse head's lamb soup restaurant and reunited with Qing'er. Both Qing'er and old horse head expressed sadness upon learning of Yan Shifan's disbandment, with Wagner reflecting on Chong Liming's disillusionment in a changing world. Chong Liming then went to Yu Chu's grave with Can Yan Xin. There, he told Can Yan Xin that he no longer needed to follow him.

After a tearful farewell, Can Yan Xin returned to the empty Shenji camp mansion and broke down in tears. Si San prepared to leave the capital, and Wagner saw him off. Si San shared his dream of exploring the world and expressed hope that he would return when peace was restored. They vowed to meet again when the world found tranquility.

Three years later, the Revolutionary Army's Sixth Battalion, led by Zhou Jue and A Yi, was stationed in Nanan city. The Beiyang Army launched a massive assault, leading to fierce fighting. The Revolutionary Army suffered heavy casualties due to the overwhelming enemy forces. Zhou Jue was encircled while bravely covering his wounded comrades during a retreat, but Zeng Guoliang arrived with reinforcements, allowing the remaining soldiers to fight their way out and safely evacuate Nanan city. Zhou Jue ordered his men to hold the city gate until everyone had retreated.
