Baili Tusu fainted in the mountains and was discovered by the herb collector Luoyunping, who took Baili Tusu and Qingxue to his home. Baili Tusu was suffering greatly, and while Luoyunping's medicine temporarily calmed the evil energy within him, a 'Thousand-Year Ganoderma' was needed to enhance its effects. Witnessing Baili Tusu's distress, Xiang Ling felt increasingly burdened and helpless. Lansheng, puzzled by Xiang Ling's sudden change, remained by her side.
Xiang Ling accompanied Luoyunping on the quest for the 'Thousand-Year Ganoderma,' even revealing her demonic form to him. Luoyunping, unafraid, advised her against forcing fate. Lansheng, worried for Xiang Ling, secretly followed them. After an overnight vigil, the 'Thousand-Year Ganoderma' finally appeared, but unexpectedly ended up in Lansheng's stomach. Xiang Ling's frantic attempts to make him drink water and vomit it out were futile.
Eventually, Luoyunping brought out insects favored by the 'Thousand-Year Ganoderma,' luring it out of Lansheng, and Baili Tusu successfully consumed the medicine. Meanwhile, in Peach Blossom Valley, Baili Tusu and Qingxue shared a happy moment. Soon after, Heiyao suddenly appeared and startled Qingxue, calling her his wife. Qingxue adamantly rejected him, stating she was not and never would be his wife. Heiyao then sadly brought up Yin Qianshang's matter.
Qingxue politely asked him to cease his investigations, thanked him, and reiterated that they were merely ordinary friends before she departed. Shortly after, Baili Tusu emerged from his room and walked out. Qingxue, still walking, sprained her ankle and was in severe pain. Baili Tusu rushed to her side. When Qingxue attempted to stand, her ankle pain worsened, forcing her to sit. Baili Tusu then gently scooped her into his arms, causing both their faces to blush slightly.
He carried her to his room, placed her on the bed, and massaged her foot, creating an ambiguous atmosphere. Xiang Ling witnessed this entire scene. Separately, Shaogong entrusted his "Dragon Horn Scale" to Xunfang, unaware that she was an imposter. Sujin used the "Dragon Horn Scale" to ascertain Jitong's true identity, discovering that Jitong possessed memories of both Shaogong and Xunfang.
This led Sujin to conclude that Jitong was, in fact, the real Xunfang whom Shaogong had been searching for over many years. Unable to allow Jitong to remain, Sujin devised a scheme: she instructed Leiyan to pretend to escort Jitong back to Qin Chuan, but secretly arranged for Yuanwu to kill Jitong midway through the journey. This plan would ensure Shaogong's continued presence in Qingyutan without suspicion and prevent Jitong from revealing Sujin's secrets.
Shaogong, believing Jitong was returning home for recuperation and would be cared for by Ruqin, remained completely unaware that he had inadvertently caused the death of the Xunfang he loved. However, Baili Tusu, feeling uneasy about Shaogong, dispatched Ah Xiang to find Qianshang. Ah Xiang, accompanied by Qianshang, arrived in time to rescue Jitong from Yuanwu's assassination attempt. Qianshang then instructed Ah Xiang to notify Baili Tusu to come to Jiangdu, hoping they could still save Jitong's life. In Ganquan Village, the land had become increasingly barren, prompting Luoyunping to persuade the elderly villagers to collectively relocate, as their advanced age necessitated ongoing care.
