Makeup artist and her assistant pondered why Lu Yuanfeng persistently followed Xiao Xiao, mistaking his strange gestures—like giving her unusual gifts instead of flowers or jewelry—as a unique form of courtship. While Xiao Xiao was out on location, Lu Yuanfeng pursued her yet again. As Xiao Xiao closed her car door in frustration, she accidentally pinched Lu Yuanfeng's hand.

Despite her annoyance, she told him to get in the car so she could take him to the hospital for his injury, also insisting that he couldn't eat fast food and needed nutritious meals like chicken soup and pig trotters. Meanwhile, Mosheng's mother received a call from a neighbor who informed her that the son of He Hanshan, a former contractor, was named He Yichen. This confirmed Mosheng's mother's long-held suspicion, leaving her momentarily stunned.

She explained to her neighbor that she was merely trying to confirm if a young man she had recently encountered, who bore a resemblance to an old friend, was indeed He Hanshan's son, as they had been out of touch for many years. He Yichen seriously told Mosheng that Lao Yuan had called him early that morning to say he no longer wished to be the wedding officiant, claiming he was still too young for such a role.

Mosheng then handed Yichen the wedding invitations she had spent the night writing. Yichen playfully teased her about her "sloppy handwriting," claiming it would embarrass him. At Mosheng's magazine office, her colleagues buzzed with excitement about the upcoming wedding, openly discussing plans to attend and hoping to meet eligible bachelors there.

Mosheng asked Xiao Hong to be her bridesmaid, but Xiao Hong declined, explaining she had already been a bridesmaid three times and feared she would never marry if she did it again, suggesting Xiao Xiao instead. Mosheng mentioned that Yichen only had Xiang Heng as a groomsman and now needed another bridesmaid since Lao Yuan had backed out as the officiant. Lao Yuan, determined to be a groomsman, asked Xiang Heng to accompany him to pick out new clothes.

He explained that being an "officiant" was a symbol of old age and only a groomsman could attract girls' attention. He insisted they couldn't allow themselves to be overshadowed by Xiao Xiao. He then dramatically asked a female store assistant if she had any "more handsome suits" for him, pushing for compliments she struggled to give.

Moments later, He Yichen emerged in a suit, and the same assistant's eyes lit up as she lavished him with enthusiastic praise, calling him "unbelievably handsome" and "too cool to have friends." Lao Yuan, hands on his hips, fumed in frustration, lamenting that whatever he wore would be in vain compared to Yichen. Xiao Xiao, wearing a heavy disguise to avoid recognition, visited the gynecology and obstetrics department at a hospital.

The doctor inquired about her last period and directly asked if she intended to keep the baby. After a moment of hesitation, Xiao Xiao emphatically said no, and the doctor advised her to get a B-scan ultrasound. As she exited the doctor's office, Lu Yuanfeng, who had been waiting, confronted her. He insisted she couldn't go through with it, reminding her he had promised to marry her.

Xiao Xiao, enraged, told him it was her baby and none of his business, blaming him for the situation. She declared her intention to proceed, but Yuanfeng threatened to expose her publicly by shouting her name if she dared. Back at the magazine office, Mosheng handed Yuanfeng a wedding invitation. He congratulated her, remarking that marriage meant they could "legally have children," which Mosheng found perplexing.

Suddenly, a colleague exclaimed about a breaking news story: entertainment reporters had photographed Xiao Xiao at the gynecology department, heavily implying she was pregnant. Mosheng immediately called Xiao Xiao, who vehemently denied the rumors, stating, "Of course, I'm not pregnant. Don't read those tabloids." After hanging up, Xiao Xiao, furious, threw her phone. She instructed her assistant, Kevin, to inform the production crew that she would participate in filming as scheduled, determined not to let the rumors affect her career.

Lu Yuanfeng arrived, having seen the news, and tried to convince her otherwise, again promising to take responsibility. Xiao Xiao retorted, asking "How?" and questioned how she could abandon her career for this, given how hard she had worked to achieve her current status, before turning away in anger. Later, Lu Yuanfeng caught Xiao Xiao on the street again.

He formally proposed to her, presenting a stack of documents, including his resume, diplomas, awards, six years of payrolls, tax clearance certificates, and even property deeds. He stated that while he didn't want to rely on his parents, all his and his parents' assets would eventually belong to their future child. He humbly added that he would only need 600 yuan a month for his personal expenses.

Overwhelmed and frightened, Xiao Xiao sought refuge at Mosheng's apartment, complaining that Yuanfeng was "stalking her like crazy." She confessed to Mosheng that she was indeed pregnant with Lu Yuanfeng's baby. She explained that it was a one-time incident when they were both drunk after Yuanfeng's breakup with Yimei, and while he was initially scared, he was now intent on taking responsibility.

Xiao Xiao, however, declared she couldn't keep the baby and planned to stay at Mosheng's for half a month, hoping that "all this will pass when the baby is gone." Mosheng, deeply concerned, assured her she would not turn her away. He Yichen, informed of Yimei's breakup with Yuanfeng, invited his sister to dinner.

Yimei explained that she was the one who initiated the split, apologizing for having failed Yuanfeng due to her busy work schedule and emotional instability at the time. She also revealed that she had changed her career path, no longer working as an anchor, and was now finally pursuing work that she truly enjoyed. Back at Mosheng's apartment, Xiao Xiao settled in comfortably, enjoying her stay, completely unaware that Yichen was seething with anger.

Mosheng had to tell Yichen that Xiao Xiao would be occupying their master bedroom for half a month because "she's not in a good mood," forcing Yichen to sleep in the guest room "for no reason." He Yichen, though internally annoyed, reluctantly agreed, and Mosheng tried to comfort him, telling him to "Work hard here, and make money to support our family."

Later, Mosheng gently tried to persuade Xiao Xiao to reconsider Lu Yuanfeng, suggesting he was a "pretty good person." Xiao Xiao immediately rejected the idea, citing "family and occupational differences." She revealed that Yuanfeng's parents, whom she believed to be intellectuals involved in academic research and antique collection, had visited her studio, and she felt they would be even less likely to accept her profession. She concluded by reiterating that she had never considered marriage and just wanted to sleep.
