Tianying informed Luo Fusheng that Huang Xinghan had arranged a new mansion for her to move into, citing safety concerns as the company's reason. Despite her strong reluctance to leave their current home, she felt compelled to obey the company's wishes. Luo Fusheng, understanding the situation, dismissed her explanations and agreed with the company's decision, emphasizing that staying there was not suitable for her image or safety.

When Tianying stated she would move the next day, Luo Fusheng immediately offered to help her pack, even suggesting they start that very night. That night, while Luo Fusheng carved a statue in his room, Tianying found herself restless and unable to sleep, tossing and turning with reluctance for her impending departure.

As Tianying prepared to leave the next morning, Luo Fusheng, feeling a deep sense of loss, presented her with a statue he had carved of the Ling Bo fairy, a figure she could recognize from his handiwork. He explained it was a keepsake, since they wouldn't be seeing each other daily, for her to look at if she ever missed him, though he jokingly doubted she would. Tianying, with genuine emotion, told him she would miss him.

Soon after, Huang Xinghan arrived to pick Tianying up, noting that Luo Fusheng, without a car, couldn't conveniently transport her belongings. He offered to take her directly to the apartment. Luo Fusheng watched them drive away, his heart heavy with loneliness, reminding Tianying to take care of herself and stay safe during filming. Meanwhile, Lin Daoshan brought Lin Qikai to a dinner with the Xu family, pressuring his son to pursue Xu Xingyuan for an engagement.

Lin Qikai expressed his disinterest, earning a scolding from his father, who accused him of being foolish and influenced by Luo Fusheng, especially since he seemed more engaged when with Hong Lan. Lin Daoshan reiterated that Lin Qikai, as the sole heir of the Lin family, must consider their future and finalize the engagement today. He then demanded Lin Qikai present Xu Xingyuan with a precious necklace, a family heirloom from Anne, his mother, meant to symbolize his true feelings.

Despite Lin Qikai's discomfort, his father’s insistence at the dinner table left him no choice but to present the necklace. Overwhelmed, Lin Qikai excused himself from the table. Xu Xingyuan followed, comforting him and acknowledging that his attempts to court her were under his father’s duress. She confessed that she enjoyed their time together, reminiscing about their childhood, and offered to keep the precious necklace on his behalf.

She understood he wished to give it to the woman he truly loved and pledged to guard it until Lin Ruomeng was found, thus sparing him further conflict with his father. Xu Xingyuan then made a small request: that he personally put the necklace on her, which he did.

She assured him that she would always be willing to cooperate with him to maintain appearances for their families, regardless of whether he saw her as a sister or a lover, simply happy to be in his life. At the same time, Xu Xingcheng received an anonymous letter revealing Tianying's new address in the Pentagon apartment building. Later, Luo Fusheng returned home from a boxing match, his hand injured.

He found the doorknob moved and cautiously entered, only for Tianying to jump out and surprise him. She expressed her concern over his injury, fearing he had been in another fight or attacked by the Hong family, but he brushed it off as a minor accident. Tianying admonished him to take better care of himself, as she would worry.

She then joyfully announced her decision to move back, finding the large apartment too lonely and lacking the warmth of their home, despite not having her company's full approval. Luo Fusheng was pleasantly surprised and relieved by her return. The next morning, as they watered plants, their playful splashing turned into a water fight, leaving them drenched but laughing, a moment Luo Fusheng wished could last forever.

Huang Xinghan later took Tianying to an underground boxing arena, the "Rattlesnake vs Cheetah" match, promising a relaxing evening. There, Tianying was shocked to see Luo Fusheng, known as "Cheetah," step into the ring. Witnessing him, the once proud head of the Hong family, now fighting for money and getting severely beaten, brought tears to her eyes. Unable to bear the sight, she rushed out, her heart aching.

Luo Fusheng, catching a glimpse of her in the crowd, was visibly startled. After the fight, Boss Xue paid Luo Fusheng, offering him other jobs, but Luo Fusheng explained that Hou Li's extensive blacklist in Dongjiang made finding work difficult, expressing gratitude for any opportunity. Tianying confronted Luo Fusheng, demanding an explanation for his participation in the dangerous underground fights. Luo Fusheng struggled to explain, admitting he didn't want to worry her.

Tianying insisted he quit, offering him protection and urging him to move into her apartment, emphasizing that their friendship meant they should help each other, and she viewed them as equals. Luo Fusheng, no longer able to suppress his feelings, pushed her gently against a wall and confessed his long-standing love. He revealed how he had buried his feelings while she was with Xu Xingcheng, upholding the code of brotherhood, and later blamed himself for their breakup.

He had resigned himself to simply protecting her from a distance. Now, seeing her achieve her dreams, he felt he had given her everything he could and, with nothing left, should disappear from her life. Moved by his confession and tears, Tianying embraced him and initiated a kiss. Luo Fusheng, overwhelmed with joy, returned her embrace. From that moment, their lives entwined. Tianying continued her acting career, while Luo Fusheng devoted himself to supporting her, managing fan gifts on set.

They maintained a professional distance in public, with Tianying insisting it was for his benefit, but enjoyed quiet, domestic evenings at home, where Luo Fusheng's cooking delighted her. During dinner, Luo Fusheng shared news about the search for the pendant maker; while they had identified an old artisan named Mr. Han, he had retired and his current whereabouts in Dongjiang were unknown. Luo Fusheng vowed to continue the search at the police station the next day.

The following day, at the police station, Xu Xingcheng intercepted Luo Fusheng's inquiry about Mr. Han, a skilled craftsman specializing in ""ornaments"". After learning the details from an officer, Xu Xingcheng secretly took the artisan's information and instructed the officer to tell Luo Fusheng that no records were found and to dismiss him. Later, Xu Xingcheng found Luo Fusheng at home, reminding him of his extensive network in Dongjiang.

He sent Tianying away for a "man-to-man talk," then revealed he had Tianying's precious throat medicine. He admitted he initially planned to use it for a date with Tianying but now saw a better use: to make Luo Fusheng apologize to him. Luo Fusheng, demanding the medicine, questioned what he had done wrong.

Xu Xingcheng declared Luo Fusheng's mistake was loving the same woman and using deceit to win her heart, adding that being forced out of the Hong family was insufficient punishment. He demanded Luo Fusheng lower his pride, kneel, and beg for the medicine as an act of submission. When Luo Fusheng hesitated, Xu Xingcheng warned him that this was his only chance; if he missed it, Tianying would never recover her voice. Facing this cruel ultimatum, Luo Fusheng reluctantly knelt before Xu Xingcheng, humiliating himself for Tianying's sake.
