> Resúmenes de Never Gone
After Cheng Zheng confronted Zhou Ziyi about hurting Mo Yuhua, asking if he had considered Meng Xue's feelings, Zhou Ziyi retorted that Cheng Zheng only noticed Mo Yuhua's feelings for him, but failed to acknowledge Meng Xue's feelings for Cheng Zheng, or Zhou Ziyi's own feelings for Chen Jiejie. Zhou Ziyi insisted he had made his intentions clear to Meng Xue and hadn't asked her for anything, questioning if Cheng Zheng's approach truly offered closure.
He maintained that he only treated Mo Yuhua as a friend and saw no fault in that. He then turned the argument back on Cheng Zheng, accusing him of only caring about his own feelings, despite being deeply in love with Su Yunjin, as Cheng Zheng couldn't even be friends with Meng Xue. Cheng Zheng conceded the point.
When Cheng Zheng asked about Chen Jiejie, Zhou Ziyi confessed he hadn't thought much about it, but being with her made him feel like a hero. He explained that he had never felt this way when pursuing other girls, finding a strong sense of purpose in providing comfort and security during Jiejie's lowest points. Zhou Ziyi anticipated Cheng Zheng's argument that Mo Yuhua was also in pain and needed a hero, but he differentiated the feelings.
For him, one was the pressure of living for someone else, while the other was the happiness born from inner pride. He then questioned if love ever made sense, concluding that it was inherently irrational. With that, Zhou Ziyi prepared to leave, asking his friends to look after Mo Yuhua while he went to clear his head.
As Mo Yuhua continued to drink heavily, Cheng Zheng suggested to Su Yunjin that she should try to persuade Mo Yuhua to let go. Su Yunjin found it difficult, believing Mo Yuhua needed to come to terms with it herself. She questioned Zhou Ziyi's actions, wondering why he gave Mo Yuhua a necklace when he was already married, knowing it would only cause more pain. Cheng Zheng explained that Zhou Ziyi saw it as a form of closure.
Su Yunjin eventually dismissed the topic, acknowledging Zhou Ziyi’s marriage and hoping Mo Yuhua would find her way through it. Despite Su Yunjin’s attempts to take her home, Mo Yuhua, still deeply upset, refused and insisted on drinking more. Suddenly, everyone received news that Zhou Ziyi had been in a car accident while clearing his head. They rushed to the hospital, where Mo Yuhua broke down in tears, pleading with the medical staff to save him.
The doctor informed them that Zhou Ziyi was out of critical danger, but his left leg had three fractures, meaning he would need a long recovery period and likely wouldn't be able to play football again. Mo Yuhua, trying to remain positive, stayed by Zhou Ziyi's bedside, assuring their friend Jin Zi that doctors often prepare for the worst, and his condition might not be as dire. She promised to inform everyone once Zhou Ziyi woke up.
On their way back from the hospital, Su Yunjin reflected on Jin Zi, noting that he seemed solely focused on making Mo Yuhua happy, regardless of her feelings for Zhou Ziyi. Cheng Zheng agreed that Mo Yuhua deserved someone like Jin Zi, but acknowledged that finding love and staying together was incredibly rare. Moved by the day's events, Cheng Zheng reaffirmed his commitment to Su Yunjin, vowing never to let her go and urging her to always protect herself.
Su Yunjin echoed his sentiment, emphasizing the importance of cherishing every moment, as life's uncertainties meant no one knew what the next second held. Cheng Zheng then suggested that Su Yunjin stay at his place, as it was closer to the hospital, making it easier to check on Zhou Ziyi. Su Yunjin agreed, asking him to text Mo Yuhua and remind her to call if anything happened.
Once at his apartment building, Cheng Zheng asked Su Yunjin to close her eyes, revealing a surprise: the apartment was decorated with balloons, and he had moved her belongings in. He explained that he took the liberty of moving her things because he knew she wouldn't have agreed otherwise, assuring her that his apartment had two spare rooms.
Cheng Zheng then presented her with an "Agreement for Cohabitation," playfully reading out the terms: they would sleep in separate rooms, Su Yunjin could enter his room freely, but he needed her consent to enter hers. He also stipulated that they would share cooking and housework responsibilities. Su Yunjin refused to sign the agreement but insisted he abide by its terms, to which he playfully agreed, then sweetly kissed her lips.
Su Yunjin explained that Zhou Ziyi's accident and their earlier conversation about cherishing time had made her agree to live together sooner than he might have expected. That night, Cheng Zheng sent her romantic texts from his room, offering to support her financially if she wanted to stop working, but Su Yunjin reiterated that work was important and she wasn't a "free-loader." The next morning, Zhou Ziyi woke up and saw Mo Yuhua by his side.
He remembered the car accident and worried if he could still play football. Mo Yuhua reassured him, saying he could once he recovered, despite the doctor's earlier prognosis. Zhou Ziyi realized Mo Yuhua had stayed all night and asked for his phone. He apologized for his actions the previous night and, upon seeing the necklace in Mo Yuhua’s bag, asked to put it on her. She allowed him, and he admired it on her.
As Mo Yuhua stepped out to call Cheng Zheng, informing him that Zhou Ziyi was awake, she couldn't hold back her tears, crying quietly in the hallway. Zhou Ziyi then called Chen Jiejie, lying about leading his team to an away competition to prevent her from worrying about his accident. Back at Cheng Zheng's apartment, he panicked when he couldn't find Su Yunjin, thinking she had left. He was relieved to discover she had simply gone out to buy breakfast.
Su Yunjin, feeling uneasy about the expensive furnishings in his home, confronted Cheng Zheng, asking if he only bought the most costly items. He proudly stated that he believed she deserved the best and that he could earn the money. Su Yunjin argued that "suitable" was better than "most expensive." After a playful exchange, Cheng Zheng insisted she say "good night" before bed, explaining its hidden meaning of "I love you," to which she feigned ignorance.
After sharing breakfast, Cheng Zheng bid her goodbye, telling her he would visit Zhou Ziyi, and extracted a playful kiss before she left for work. At work, Su Yunjin received good news that the project proposal had been approved, and Mr. Sun was awaiting the contract. Su Yunjin mentioned that Meng Xue still hadn't replied, suggesting they find another contact person. Mr. Xu dismissed her concerns, instructing her to start drafting the contract immediately.
He assured her that his assistant, Elsa, would send her the necessary data, implying that the details had already been confirmed through other channels. Elsa later clarified to Su Yunjin that Mr. Xu had already been in contact with the other company. Meanwhile, Cindy, a representative from the Hong Kong company, spoke with her boss, Chuck, on the phone. She reported that the cooperation with Mr. Xu had not progressed since Chuck's last visit.
She shared her assessment of MD Network's standing in the industry and noted the significant internal changes under Mr. Xu. Cindy described Mr. Xu as unpredictable, often appearing transparent yet simultaneously hiding much, admitting she couldn't fully understand him. Chuck, after hearing Cindy's report, decided they couldn't delay further and authorized her to meet Mr. Xu to finalize the contract.
