Cheng Zheng happily picked Su Yunjin up from work. When she expressed reluctance to let him spend money on a fancy dinner, he smiled mischievously and drove her to his apartment in Shanghai. As Su Yunjin opened the door, she was overjoyed to find her mother and Uncle Ding inside. She then realized that Cheng Zheng had arranged for them to come to Shanghai.

That evening, the four of them shared a lively reunion dinner, complete with Su Yunjin’s favorite braised fish cooked by her mother. Cheng Zheng informed them that her mother and Uncle Ding would stay at his apartment, and he would go to Zhou Ziyi's place for the night, looking forward to playing ball together. Later, Uncle Ding discreetly asked Cheng Zheng if he and Su Yunjin were living together.

Cheng Zheng quickly denied it, but confirmed they were a couple, reassuring Uncle Ding. Su Yunjin worried that it might be inappropriate for her mother and Uncle Ding to stay at Cheng Zheng's home. However, Cheng Zheng told her not to concern herself, as he had made all the necessary arrangements.

He assured her that she should go to work feeling at ease the next day, while he would take the two elders sightseeing the next day and for a medical check-up the day after. Su Yunjin smiled sweetly, realizing how comfortably and affectionately she and Cheng Zheng were together now, a stark contrast to their previous reserved interactions.

Cheng Zheng tried to give her a kiss, but she gently pushed him away, reminding him that her mother and Uncle Ding were just outside. Later, as Cheng Zheng prepared to leave for Zhou Ziyi's, Su Yunjin’s mother inquired with Uncle Ding about her daughter and Cheng Zheng living together. Uncle Ding confirmed they were not, adding that Cheng Zheng was a good young man and Su Yunjin had good judgment.

After Cheng Zheng left, Su Yunjin’s mother advised her to be less headstrong and more gentle in her relationship. After settling his future in-laws, Cheng Zheng received a distressed phone call from Zhou Ziyi, who claimed he was "going to die." Cheng Zheng rushed to Zhou Ziyi's place, where he was surprised to find his friend unusually dressed in a formal suit. Zhou Ziyi gravely declared that he was married.

Cheng Zheng initially dismissed it as a joke, but Zhou Ziyi proudly pulled out a marriage certificate, leaving Cheng Zheng dumbfounded. It became clear that Zhou Ziyi was serious this time. Zhou Ziyi explained that his new wife was Chen Jie Jie, the young woman from the Fun Farm House whose wedding fell through.

He claimed it was love at first sight, so he accompanied her to finalize her divorce from her unfaithful ex-husband, and then they promptly got married themselves, asserting their seriousness and legality. Cheng Zheng was speechless, but Zhou Ziyi had another shock in store: Chen Jie Jie was pregnant with her ex-husband's child and was currently resting at home. Cheng Zheng struggled to process the news, asking if Zhou Ziyi had been "bewitched" and calling it an irresponsible act.

He felt especially saddened for Mo Yuhua, who had harbored feelings for Zhou Ziyi for so many years. He knew how heartbroken she would be to learn of his sudden marriage to someone else. Zhou Ziyi, however, merely shrugged, saying he couldn't force himself to love someone just because they loved him, acknowledging that any outcome would ultimately cause her pain. With that, Zhou Ziyi abruptly ended the conversation, saying he was going to sleep.

The next day, Cheng Zheng diligently accompanied Su Yunjin’s mother and Uncle Ding on a sightseeing tour, even purchasing gifts for them, ensuring they were well taken care of throughout the busy day. Meanwhile, Zhou Ziyi met Meng Xue at a bar.

Meng Xue confessed her enduring feelings for Cheng Zheng, stating she refused to give up on him and was merely waiting for him and Su Yunjin to realize their incompatibility and break up, hoping to then win his heart. Zhou Ziyi tried to show Meng Xue his phone, mentioning a "prenatal education" class he had to attend, which Meng Xue misinterpreted as him either being pregnant or his father having another child.

He did not explicitly reveal his marriage to her. That evening, Cheng Zheng returned home with Su Yunjin’s mother and Uncle Ding, where they shared a pleasant dinner with Su Yunjin. Cheng Zheng insisted that he would accompany the elders for their medical check-up the following day, despite Su Yunjin offering to go. As they cleaned up, Su Yunjin handed him money for her mother's medical expenses.

Cheng Zheng then presented her with a lock inscribed with both their names, which he had placed on the highest branch of the Wishing Tree at Chenghuang Temple. He gave her the key, explaining he couldn't bear to part with anything related to her. Su Yunjin teasingly called it childish but accepted the key. The following morning, Su Yunjin arrived at MD Network for work.

Xu Zhiheng intercepted her, assigning her the task of receiving Chuck, Meng Xue’s direct superior, whose plane was due to land in Shanghai in 40 minutes. Su Yunjin was to pick him up at the airport and arrange his hotel stay. Despite her inexperience with such high-profile reception and her unfamiliarity with Chuck, Xu Zhiheng pressed her to depart immediately, sending her only basic information.

Concurrently, Cheng Zheng took Su Yunjin’s mother and Uncle Ding to a top hospital in Shanghai for their physical examinations. He had purchased two comprehensive check-up packages, insisting they both get examined, playfully claiming a "30% discount for two." Uncle Ding initially tried to decline, feeling he was in good health, but Cheng Zheng convinced him that preventive check-ups were essential. As Cheng Zheng waited for them, he received an urgent phone call from his company.

An investor had taken a keen interest in his design and was ready to fund the project, requiring his immediate presence for a meeting. Cheng Zheng, who only had two hours, quickly arranged to meet his colleagues directly at the investor's location. He instructed the hospital staff to have Su Yunjin’s mother and Uncle Ding wait for him once their check-ups were completed, before rushing off.

When Su Yunjin finally met Chuck at the airport, he had already been waiting for half an hour, and Xu Zhiheng was conspicuously absent. Chuck, displeased with MD Network's perceived disrespect, largely ignored Su Yunjin. Upon arriving at his hotel room, Chuck immediately initiated a video call with Xu Zhiheng, expressing his strong dissatisfaction.

He chastised Xu Zhiheng for dispatching a young, inexperienced person like Su Yunjin to handle his reception and project discussions, especially given his stature in the American internet industry, citing the Chinese principle of "the guest always comes first." Xu Zhiheng calmly defended his decision, explaining that he aimed to address Chuck's project concerns promptly and empower the youth, just as Chuck himself did with Cindy.

He promised a unique dining experience later and encouraged Chuck to listen to Su Yunjin's innovative ideas. Meanwhile, Su Yunjin, feeling awkward and unsure how to proceed, attempted to remind Chuck about their two-hour project discussion, but he continued to dismiss her. Suddenly, Su Yunjin received a distressing phone call from Uncle Ding, informing her that her mother had fainted during her medical examination.

She quickly excused herself from the video call with Xu Zhiheng, who understandingly urged her to attend to her family. Su Yunjin rushed to the hospital, where she learned that her mother had simply fainted due to low blood sugar from not eating breakfast, a common occurrence during prolonged fasting for check-ups. Relieved, she settled her mother and asked Uncle Ding if her mother was truly alright. She then inquired about Cheng Zheng's whereabouts, as he was supposed to be accompanying them. Uncle Ding revealed that Cheng Zheng was not present when her mother fainted.
