Jiali reveals to Wei Hao that the ledger she purposely left behind is a fake, intended solely as a lure. She plans to bait Hao Yu into stealing it so they can catch her red-handed during an exchange with her contact. Catching her in the act is the only way for them to clear their names with Uncle Kun and reclaim their lost status.
Seeing the physical toll Jiali took during her recent punishment, a vengeful Wei Hao vows to make Hao Yu pay for everything she has put them through. Ji Zhijie has reclaimed the land Hao Yu’s brother once dreamed of owning, transforming it into a nightclub and gifting it to her. As Hao Yu arrives to take possession, she encounters Jiali and Wei Hao leaving their former office.
Wei Hao sarcastically hands over the keys, remarking that they decided to enjoy the space one last time now that it no longer belongs to them. Once inside, Feihu notices a sharp burning smell. Suspecting something is amiss, Hao Yu sends him out to purchase air freshener so she can search the room alone. Hao Yu discovers a U-disk hidden in the trash and checks the contents on a computer.
Finding what appears to be Cangfeng’s ledgers, she immediately makes a call to report that she has found the key evidence. Jiali, watching the office through a hidden surveillance feed, is delighted to see that Hao Yu has taken the bait. Meanwhile, Ji Zhijie’s associates report that their investigation into Hao Yu’s life and her favorite haunts has turned up no evidence of any connection to Zhou Ziheng.
Hao Yu later meets Zhou Ziheng at a hospital, where he is disguised as a doctor. She expresses her suspicions, noting that Jiali and Wei Hao were unusually passive about her taking their territory and that the evidence was far too easy to obtain. After examining the data, Zhou Ziheng confirms it is fake, designed specifically to lead her into a trap. Rather than retreating, Hao Yu suggests they play along with the ruse.
She prepares to edit surveillance footage and swap the fake files for real Cangfeng evidence she had obtained earlier to shift the blame onto Wei Hao. To set the final stage, Hao Yu brings Feihu to a secluded location, claiming she received an anonymous tip about a ledger exchange and asking him to hide his face for safety. When Wei Hao appears, he believes he has caught Hao Yu in a trade with a police officer.
He mocks her for trying to act like a law-abiding citizen and attempts to present his "witnesses." However, Hao Yu turns the tables by snatching a U-disk from him and accusing him of being the one who is actually colluding with the police. Ji Zhijie arrives at the docks just as Wei Hao is violently choking Hao Yu. He intervenes and beats Wei Hao, while a tearful Hao Yu presents the U-disk, claiming she nearly died protecting the evidence.
Jiali tries to expose Hao Yu’s deception, admitting she set the trap but insisting the evidence Hao Yu holds is fake. Her plan backfires completely when the U-disk is revealed to contain real evidence. To seal the frame-up, Zhou Ziheng appears as the intended contact for Wei Hao, leaving Ji Zhijie convinced that Wei Hao is the true traitor. Ji Zhijie orders Wei Hao and Jiali to be dragged away to The Kennel.
Soon after, the Second Elder and Third Elder arrive at Ji Zhijie's villa, surrounding it with their men to pressure him into releasing Wei Hao. Ji Zhijie reveals he was already prepared for their visit and counters their threats by offering them legal business partnerships at Xingzhou Port. Tempted by the promise of stable profits, the Elders quickly abandon Wei Hao and retreat.
Uncle Kun, having received word of the situation while away, chooses not to intervene and decides to wait until dawn to address the fallout. Ji Zhijie returns to the villa to find Hao Yu still shaken. He reassures her that he will give her everything she wants and will show no mercy to those who harm her.
However, he leaves her with a stern warning: while he will protect her, she must never cross the line into betraying Uncle Kun or the group. Despite his protection, the shadow of Jiali’s accusations remains, as she continues to scream that Hao Yu is a plant sent by the police to destroy them all from within.
