> Resúmenes de No Pain No Gain
Following Chen Lei’s departure, business at the M&Y Internet Cafe took a sharp downturn. Observing from the sidelines, Li Shi remained wary of Pei Qian’s next move, suspecting that the decision to fund Chen Lei’s musical dreams was part of a deeper strategy. While his associate Zhou Muyan believed Pei Qian was out of options, Li Shi prepared for a potential confrontation, though he maintained that his preference was to turn rivals into friends.
In the office, Xin Hailu informed Pei Qian that Lishi Capital, led by Li Shi, was interested in acquiring the struggling cafe. Pei Qian, who was focused on maintaining his loss-making ventures, rejected the buyout without a second thought. Li Shi later visited the cafe to pressure Ma Yang, warning that they were merely burning through cash. Ma Yang remained defiantly loyal to Pei Qian, mockingly offering Li Shi a "Moscow Mule" cocktail before sending him away.
The situation changed when Chen Lei was crowned the grand champion of a televised talent show. In an emotional victory speech, Chen Lei thanked his "big brother" and life mentor—the owner of M&Y Internet Cafe—for teaching him to find his true self. He publicly vowed to return and help his mentor now that the cafe was in trouble. Pei Qian rushed to the cafe, only to find Li Shi already there, executing a hostile takeover.
Li Shi revealed he had signed a new contract with the landlord at three times the rent and paid the penalty to evict Pei Qian’s team. As Li Shi ordered workers to dismantle the cafe's decorations, Pei Qian’s staff desperately tried to protect their hard work. Pei Qian even offered to pay a hundred times the amount to stay, but Li Shi was intent on forcing him out.
However, the arrival of Lin Zhengnan and Shen Hua, the founders of the Shenhua Group, turned the tables. They revealed that the property actually belonged to their company and condemned Li Shi’s predatory tactics. Impressed by Pei Qian’s protective attitude toward his employees, they granted him the right to use the space indefinitely for free. Pei Qian was stunned to discover that his employee, Lin Wan, was actually the daughter of these industry giants.
Her parents explained that she was a headstrong woman who refused to use family resources, but they were happy she had found a place at Tengda. They asked Pei Qian to keep their visit a secret and continue mentoring her. Realizing that Lin Wan’s background was inadvertently saving him money and gaining him assets, Pei Qian decided he had to make her want to quit.
He assigned her a massive task: summarizing every failed game from the past decade, granting her the exclusive "privilege" of unlimited overtime in hopes of exhausting her. To find new ways to drain the company's funds, Pei Qian looked for a way to circumvent the 150-yuan-per-person limit on employee meals. He decided to open a high-end private restaurant in a remote, signal-free location at Mingyun Villa.
When a real estate agent named Cui informed him that the property could only be purchased rather than rented, Pei Qian immediately bought it. Meanwhile, Bao Xu returned from his forced vacation looking tanned and miserable, complaining that the hectic travel schedule Pei Qian designed had used up his entire year’s energy. Pei Qian eventually brought the staff to the newly purchased villa for a gathering.
The employees were baffled by the isolated location and the fact that they had to harvest their own vegetables and catch fish for their meal. Pei Qian explained his "enlightened" business model: that wealthy people enjoy "seeking hardship" to find meaning, and his restaurant would sell "craftsmanship" rather than just food. During the meal, he also spoke with Huang Sibo, who wanted to start a web novel venture.
Seeing another chance to lose money, Pei Qian immediately pledged a one-million-yuan investment. Despite the heavy workload, Lin Wan finished her research much faster than expected, prompting Pei Qian to order another decade of summaries. He tried to convince her that she was wasting her life on overtime and should go home, but Lin Wan misinterpreted his words as a call to step out of her comfort zone and work even harder.
News of the remote restaurant soon reached Li Shi, who felt Pei Qian was directly challenging his own niche in the private dining market. Refusing to be sidelined, Li Shi decided to personally visit the villa to see what Pei Qian was planning.
