> Resúmenes de No Pain No Gain
Pei Qian officially introduced Huang Sibo and Ma Yang to Lawrence at the filming location, where Director Zhuang Dace was also present. Ma Yang was in no condition to socialize, as he was severely airsick from the helicopter ride and spent his time vomiting. Lawrence referred to them by English names, calling Huang Sibo "Yellow" and Ma Yang "Ocean." Meanwhile, the production's lead actor, Lu Zhiyao, was initially furious that Lawrence had commandeered his private makeup artist, causing a delay.
However, his attitude shifted instantly once he learned of Lawrence's high-profile background, and he began showering Lawrence with praise. As the production launched, Lawrence, acting as the producer, delivered a speech announcing a staggering eighty-three sponsors, ranging from Qishenghua skincare to Zhiguang lighting. Pei Qian realized Lawrence was focused on cramming as many new brands as possible into the show as product placement. This forced Huang Sibo to revise the script to accommodate the overwhelming advertisements, leaving him frustrated.
The actors, including Lu Zhiyao and Shi Huo, criticized the nonsensical new dialogue, questioning the screenwriter's artistic principles. Back at the office, the situation was equally stressful. Lin Wan called Pei Qian to complain that Lawrence was tormenting the staff with endless demands. Despite being at the film set, Lawrence assigned a mountain of advertising integration work for the game, causing Lv Mingliang to faint from sleep deprivation.
To help the team cope, Pei Qian shared a manual he had previously used to deal with difficult superiors, which the team renamed the "Anti-Law Work Guide." Following its principles of being respectful but slow, Lin Wan and the others used corporate buzzwords like "resource integration" and "product empowerment" to stall Lawrence during video meetings. Lawrence, surprisingly, found this jargon professional and accepted their vague three-month timeline. Lawrence also targeted the company’s mascot, a black cat named Yintang.
Claiming he was allergic and that a black cat was a bad omen, he demanded its removal. Pei Qian stood his ground, explaining that Yintang was a symbol of Tenda’s prosperity. Lawrence eventually conceded on the condition that the cat create value by joining the "Tenda content matrix" to boost its IP value. Meanwhile, Lawrence pushed Ma Yang into livestreaming to sell various products.
When Pei Qian saw the broadcast, he found Ma Yang dressed ridiculously and selling low-quality "Winter Fairy" yoga pants. Pei Qian interrupted the stream and suggested a new strategy: absolute honesty. Ma Yang began "destroying" the products live, turning off beauty filters to show the poor quality of the yoga pants and exposing "Black Sesame Divine Pills" as high-fat supplements that would only cause weight gain. This honest approach gained Ma Yang a massive following of fans called "Aima."
When several brands offered "sponsorship" money to avoid being mentioned on air, Ma Yang treated it as "protection money" and exposed their private messages. Lawrence was outraged, screaming about astronomical penalties, but Pei Qian pointed out that many products involved false advertising, meaning the brands were the ones in breach. Pei Qian also refused to reimburse Lawrence’s personal expenses, like helicopter fees, telling him to bill his father instead.
As Lawrence prepared to leave the country, Pei Qian coincidentally picked him up as a designated driver. After dropping Lawrence at the airport, Pei Qian immediately received another order for the same car. To his dismay, the new passengers were Lawrence’s brothers, Sima Tu and Sima Sui, who had also been sent by Mr. Sima to gain experience at Tenda.
Pei Qian tried to contact Mr. Sima to complain, but Xin Hailu explained the chairman was abroad on an unreachable "important plan." The two brothers proved to be a chaotic addition, as their management styles were completely contradictory. Sima Sui advocated for focusing entirely on the gaming sector, specifically "The Divine Mountains and Seas", while Sima Tu insisted on balanced development across all sectors. Their disagreement paralyzed decision-making regarding the game's version 2. 0 release.
They even created separate WeChat groups, excluding each other to issue conflicting orders. They also attempted to replace the artist Ruan Guangjian, but Pei Qian defended him, advising them to check Ruan's massive social media following first. When they scheduled separate meetings for 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM, Pei Qian stepped in, stating that Tenda employees do not start work that early. In response, the brothers decided to replace the meetings with mandatory daytime "talks" and nighttime "training," imposing an even more exhausting schedule on the staff.
