> Resúmenes de Mr. Fighting
Peng Yongkang announced his intention to retire from directing, believing his skills were outdated in the new talent-rich film and television industry. He advised Hao Zeyu on how to select and decline roles, encouraging him to continue striving for excellence in acting. Hao Zeyu expressed gratitude to Peng Yongkang for giving him an opportunity during a difficult time and wished to repay him. Peng Yongkang promised to write a good script for Hao Zeyu to star in.
Shi Rujing arranged for a driver to take Peng Yongkang to the airport. As Hao Zeyu walked Peng Yongkang to the car, he returned a ten-yuan note, a tip Peng Yongkang had once given him when he mistook Hao Zeyu for a hotel server. The note served as a constant reminder to Hao Zeyu to "not forget original aspirations," and he promised Peng Yongkang he would become a good actor.
Shi Rujing, who was also at the hotel, called Hao Zeyu to the coffee shop after Peng Yongkang's departure, having anticipated Hao Zeyu seeing him off due to his loyal nature. Hao Zeyu not only saw Peng Yongkang off but also expressed his genuine desire to take Peng Yongkang's projects, regardless of the fee or role. Shi Rujing was not surprised, seeing this as proof of Hao Zeyu's loyalty, intelligence, and understanding of how to "retreat in order to advance."
Hao Zeyu then confirmed he had "thought it through" and asked about an endorsement opportunity that Shi Rujing had previously said would be his once Director Wang's film was released. Shi Rujing, feigning difficulty, questioned what capacity she would have to discuss the deal with him, as she was not his manager. She warned him not to make a hasty decision, as it concerned his entire career and future, leaving Hao Zeyu in a dilemma.
He admitted to himself that he was tempted by Shi Rujing's offer for a better life, but his conscience wouldn't allow it, fearing he would hurt Niu Meili and Fu Zi. Hao Zeyu called Fu Zi's father to bring food and wine to the underground room. Fu Zi's father scolded Hao Zeyu for daring to take Peng Yongkang's projects, assuming he was employing "retreat in order to advance."
Hao Zeyu clarified that he genuinely wanted to take Peng Yongkang's projects and that Director Wang's film was a "proper role" for him. He hadn't told Niu Meili or Fu Zi, believing he could handle the situation himself. Fu Zi's father believed him, recognizing that human nature is inherently weak when tested. Fu Zi's father observed a change in Hao Zeyu but also remarked on Fu Zi's continued innocence.
Hao Zeyu mentioned he had no intention of arguing with Niu Meili and would let her adjust on her own. He also stated his New Year plan was to return to his hometown to burn incense for his father, both to remember him and make him happy. Meanwhile, Ren Jiajia's father repeatedly approached Niu Meili while Ren Jiajia was absent, still intending to take Ren Jiajia abroad after the New Year.
Niu Meili proposed that she care for Ren Jiajia, offering a contract if he was concerned, having seriously considered the idea for a long time. Ren Jiajia's father refused, questioning Niu Meili's status to care for Ren Jiajia, mocking her inability to provide a stable home, emphasizing his blood relation, and expressing his reluctance for Ren Jiajia to live in Niu Meili's "environment." Furious, Niu Meili complained to Fu Zi's father.
She decided to "form a family" that would be a formidable rival to Ren Jiajia's father, not just for Ren Jiajia but also for herself, as she was older and still lacked a proper family, feeling she was "not unwanted." Fu Zi's father urged her not to be reckless, but she then thought of Gu Dapeng, causing Fu Zi's father anxiety. As New Year approached, Hao Zeyu prepared to return to his hometown.
Fu Zi insisted on seeing him off, but Hao Zeyu worried about her returning home alone. Fu Zi leaned on him, saying she would never be alone as long as he was in her heart. On New Year's Eve, Fu Zi and Fu Zi's father dined alone, feeling the house was too cold and quiet. Fu Zi lamented Hao Zeyu's absence (due to grave sweeping) and wondered why Niu Meili wasn't with them, suspecting they might be avoiding each other.
Fu Zi's father explained that Ren Jiajia had fallen out with her father, so Niu Meili was accompanying Ren Jiajia for New Year. Fu Zi often mentioned Hao Zeyu and Niu Meili, wishing their four-person happy days could continue indefinitely. Niu Meili was at home making fried dumplings for Ren Jiajia, who, having fallen out with her father, insisted on spending New Year with Niu Meili. Zhao Xiaobei called Niu Meili to apologize and wish her Happy New Year.
Ren Jiajia advised Niu Meili not to hold a grudge against Zhao Xiaobei on New Year's. Niu Meili grandly forgave him and invited him to join them, but Zhao Xiaobei was abroad and couldn't make it back. After exchanging New Year greetings, Niu Meili hung up and ate dumplings with Ren Jiajia. Meanwhile, Hao Zeyu had not returned to his hometown; instead, he was alone in the underground room, drinking and staying in solitude.
He confessed he couldn't face Fu Zi, Fu Zi's father, and Niu Meili, nor could he be as open with them as before, choosing to escape due to his inner conflict over Shi Rujing's offer. He yearned to hug Fu Zi and count down the New Year together but felt she had family for company, leaving him lonely.
He was sad, knowing that after today, everything would change, and that he would have to learn to be alone after New Year. Niu Meili and Ren Jiajia watched the moon, complaining that the New Year felt meaningless, lacking a home and atmosphere. Bai Jiaojiao brought shrimp to Shi Rujing, and the two women, described as "pitiable people staying together", spent New Year together, their relationship simplified, devoid of work talk.
Hao Zeyu lit a firework that quietly bloomed in his underground room. Fu Zi stared blankly at children playing with fireworks in the courtyard. Both Hao Zeyu and Fu Zi coincidentally thought of a past night watching fireworks together. Niu Meili and Ren Jiajia also lit fireworks at their doorstep. In that moment, the simple realization that "it's New Year's" seemed to make all worries vanish. The next day, Hao Zeyu's movie was released.
Niu Meili had booked a private screening to support Hao Zeyu's box office, planning a movie and dinner to forget past unpleasantness. Fu Zi's father, Zhao Xiaobei, and Ren Jiajia attended the screening. Hao Zeyu and Fu Zi were on their way. Niu Meili proudly told Fu Zi's father she had also invited Gu Dapeng, intending to give him a chance. However, Gu Dapeng arrived with a girlfriend, which soured Niu Meili's expression and secretly delighted Fu Zi's father.
