> Resumos de The Company
Under the hazy moonlight, Su Beilu seeks guidance from Lu Feng on how to enter the mysterious Tianguang Market. Lu Feng recounts his own accidental entry years ago; after failing the national art academy entrance exam for the third time, he had been drinking dejectedly by the river and passed out, only to wake up within the market. The next morning, the two head to that same river.
Su Beilu dives into the water repeatedly, hoping to trigger the passage, but he only ends up soaked and frustrated on the bank. Lu Feng clarifies that while he woke up there, others have found different paths, noting that a woman named A-Lan once entered after getting lost in the back hills. He encourages Su Beilu not to give up, as there is clearly more than one way to reach the time rift.
Meanwhile, at Fusheng Hall, the Hall Master is alarmed to find that the Time Administration has tracked their movements, making their 25th-century vault too dangerous to use. It becomes clear that someone has betrayed the organization. Ye Liangyin brings in A-Yu, who is accused of leading Bi Zhi to their secret coordinates.
Despite A-Yu’s desperate claims that she didn't know the man was with the Time Administration, Ye Liangyin remains cold and executes her on the spot to prove her loyalty. The Hall Master commends her ruthlessness, noting how much she has changed over the eight years since she joined and acknowledging her singular obsession with ancient artifacts. Ye Liangyin’s thoughts drift back to her initial recruitment.
She had risen to the rank of supervisor within four years, but her path was marked by a bitter betrayal. While tracking the stolen Dushan Jade in the year 2005, she discovered the thief was Shiyi, the very man who had interviewed her for the Hall. Bitter about risking his life for meager pay, Shiyi had begun selling artifacts to hoard wealth in the year 2028.
He tried to convince Ye Liangyin to abandon her ideals and run away with him, but she refused. In the ensuing struggle, Shiyi pushed her off a building. Though she survived, the fall cost her a leg and changed her life forever. Back in the present, a subordinate reports that the coordinates for Bi Zhi's destination are garbled and unreadable. Ye Liangyin realizes that the place likely has no fixed coordinates at all—it is a time rift.
In the Tianguang Market, Bi Zhi finally regains consciousness and thanks the Market Lord for saving him. He speaks solemnly about the deaths of Qin Ziyi and Elder Yu, suspecting they were orchestrated by a hidden hand. When the Market Lord suggests reporting this to the Time Administration, Bi Zhi declines, fearing the consequences of involving them without sufficient proof, especially since the enemy possesses advanced weapons and a time elevator.
Fearing for the safety of the market, Bi Zhi promises the Market Lord that if she ever decides she no longer wishes to be bound to this place, he will protect her and help her leave, even at the cost of his own life. The Market Lord leads Bi Zhi to a private room and reveals her true history. Long ago, she was Miao Tong, the daughter of an apothecary mother and a woodworker father in the remote Miao Village.
One day, despite warnings of restless spirits near an ancient tomb, she went herb-gathering with her mother. They discovered valuable lingzhi, but Miao Tong wandered too far and accidentally fell into a rift. She eventually found a path through the mist that led her to the 31st century, where she encountered Chu Qiu. Stunned that she was the first person to retain her memories after passing through the market, Chu Qiu initially sent her back to her own time.
However, upon her return, Miao Tong found her village devastated by a plague that the villagers believed was a curse for disturbing the tomb. Overwhelmed by guilt, she sought out the Time Administration and underwent training to become a time-space analyst. Gifted with the ability to see portals across eras, she accepted the role of Market Lord to save her people.
Moved by her sacrifice, Bi Zhi vows to travel to the Wanqi era and visit her parents in Miao Village to let them know she is safe. Back in the city, Su Beilu seeks out Master Dong to ask about the market. Master Dong recognizes the description of a time-frozen space as a quantum mechanics field.
He shows Su Beilu a painting titled "The River of Oblivion," created by a senior at the Huayang Academy of Fine Arts who had dreamed of the scene after a childhood camping trip. Seeing the familiar large tree and red leaves in the painting, Su Beilu realizes this is the lead he needs. Master Dong and a companion named Lin Zhong agree to help, and they speed off toward the remote mountains, hoping to find the physical location that inspired the artist’s vision.
