Resumen del episodio 23 de Zhan Zhao Adventures
> Resúmenes de Zhan Zhao Adventures
Ming Zhu'er and Zhao Zhi'er were busy organizing and drying scrolls in the courtyard, waiting for Zhan Zhao and the others to return. Meanwhile, Bai Yutang was struck by a sudden, vivid memory of his late brother, Jin Xuewen, urging him to practice his needling techniques for the upcoming Suwen Assembly. Following this memory, Bai Yutang searched a hidden compartment in his bed and successfully retrieved his brother's handwritten prescription.
The document detailed the "Day-Long Cocoon," a highly toxic specimen harvested from the cliffs of Eagle Beak Rock in Flying Petals Col. Jin Xuewen had written that the cocoon could serve as a vital ingredient for the long-lost Naihe Decoction to cure rare poisons, explaining his midnight climb on the night of the incident.
Driven by these clues, Bai Yutang searched the area near a dry well and discovered the Day-Long Cocoon preserved in the cold darkness, exactly as his brother's notes described. Overwhelmed by grief, Bai Yutang realized that his brother had not been a lazy slacker but had worked tirelessly to secure a victory at the assembly. He bitterly regretted not attending his brother’s trial to hear his defense.
Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang analyzed the findings and deduced that the devastating plague fifteen years ago was actually caused by the Seven-Day Drunken Dream poison. Jin Xuewen had evidently uncovered this conspiracy, which ultimately cost him his life. The group decided to split up to gather more information. Huo Linglong paid a visit to Mrs. Jiao to ask about the night of the murder.
Mrs. Jiao recalled seeing a scholar-looking figure who closely resembled Jin Xuewen, suggesting her aunt's death was indeed related to him. Suddenly, Jiao Siyuan arrived and accused Linglong Manor of killing his father, Jiao Chaogui, pointing out that his father had been killed by a sword through the Baihui point—a signature move of Linglong Manor known as "A Fleeting Glimpse." Huo Linglong defended herself, explaining that Jing Yiming’s assassins had mastered various sects' ultimate moves and were the ones responsible.
Mrs. Jiao quickly intervened to calm her son and prevent a clash. Upon leaving the Jiao residence, Huo Linglong met her brother, Huo Feng, who wanted to bring her back to the manor. Sensing that Shao Jizu was lurking nearby to eavesdrop, Huo Linglong loudly declared to her brother that she had resolved to call off her engagement, vowing never to marry such a foolish, arrogant, and conceited man.
Angered by her words, Shao Jizu retreated to vent his fury through intense martial arts practice. Si Ming observed him, advising that if he wanted to take Huo Linglong back, there were many ways to do so, depending on how ruthless he could be. Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang walked through the town to question the local residents about the past plague.
The townspeople described how the victims had behaved as if they were dreaming, displaying immense, unnatural strength, and retaining no memory of their actions after waking. This description strongly pointed to the Seven-Day Drunken Dream poison. When they asked Fourth Aunt Zhang shi about the prescription used to cure the plague, she became evasive and claimed she did not know.
Jin Zhenping suddenly arrived and warned Bai Yutang—whom he addressed by his childhood nickname, "Little Seventeen"—not to trouble his aunt and to let her live in peace. Meanwhile, Tang Ji received a pigeon message from Si Ming, forcing him to comply with his demands despite his reluctance. That night, Zhan Zhao, Bai Yutang, and Huo Linglong gathered to share their findings.
Zhan Zhao suspected that the Tang Sect had originally wanted Yemotian, making the plague of the Seven-Day Drunken Dream an accidental outcome. Realizing that the mysterious white-clothed woman wore a dress with a distinct pale red floral pattern and that Zhang shi knew many prestigious ladies, Huo Linglong decided to investigate further.
The next morning, Huo Linglong visited the Jin Mansion and spotted a screen in Chunxin Pavilion depicting a man and a woman meeting in a pavilion, which perfectly matched the hunter's description of the secret lovers. She immediately alerted Bai Yutang, who found it hard to believe his aunt could be involved.
However, when they questioned a maid at the mansion, she confirmed that Zhang shi owned a white dress with pale red petals hidden at the bottom of a chest. The maid added that Zhang shi had left to pray at Moyun Temple. They rushed to Moyun Temple and spotted Zhang shi switching carriages and changing her clothes.
Huo Linglong stayed behind to search for the discarded dress while Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang followed Zhang shi to a hidden cave in Flying Petals Col. At the temple, a maid burning joss paper revealed to Huo Linglong that Zhang shi had been muttering apologies to "Little Seventeen" (Bai Yutang). Inside the cave, Zhan Zhao heard the sound of running water, indicating a secret passage.
As they searched, Bai Yutang accidentally knocked over a wooden box, releasing a cloud of toxic white smoke. The poison caused him to hallucinate, mistaking Zhan Zhao for Tang Ji, and he drew his sword to attack. Watching from behind a stone wall, Zhang shi was consumed by guilt and fled, vowing never to see Tang Ji again.
Inside the cave, Bai Yutang's hallucination shifted, and he began to see Zhan Zhao as his late brother, Jin Xuewen, desperately promising to save him. Outside, Tang Ji ordered his men to shoot flaming arrows, setting the cave on fire to burn them to ashes. Fortunately, Bai Yutang regained his senses, and working with Zhan Zhao, they broke through the stone wall to let the underground river flood the cave, saving themselves from the fire.
At the same time, Huo Linglong was cornered at Moyun Temple by Jiao Siyuan, who was determined to avenge his father. Shao Jizu suddenly appeared and drove Jiao Siyuan back, but he then tried to force Huo Linglong to return to the manor. Zhan Zhao arrived just in time to knock Shao Jizu down and rescue her. Back at the Jin Mansion, they confronted Zhang shi with the evidence.
Broken, she confessed that she and Tang Ji were childhood sweethearts, but due to their different social statuses, she was forced to marry into the Jin family. She admitted that Tang Ji had set up the cave trap to silence them when their investigation drew too close. She wept, insisting that they never intended to harm anyone and that the plague was an accident.
Begging Bai Yutang to spare her some dignity, she implored him not to let the rest of the Jin family know of her scandalous past, leaving the decision of her fate in his hands.
