Han Qilu's Grandma returned home in a deeply distressed state, remaining silent all day, which caused great concern among the family members. When asked what was wrong, she insisted that everyone leave her alone to calm down, and no one dared to defy her. Later, Han Qilu confided in An Chuxia, explaining that he had never seen his Grandma in such a state, making him believe something significant had occurred.

An Chuxia offered comfort, suggesting that a strong person like his Grandma probably didn't want her family to see her vulnerable side, and advised against disturbing her. Han Qilu understood and after a playful "good night" exchange, they parted ways. The next morning, Qin Qing arrived with some Wonton, hoping to cheer Grandma up. While serving the food, Qin Qing took the opportunity to complain about An Chuxia becoming unruly and Han Qilu ignoring her since Grandma's absence.

She suggested that Grandma should simply finalize her and Han Qilu's wedding to resolve the situation. To everyone's astonishment, Grandma suddenly announced that Han Qilu and Qin Qing were to get married immediately. Han Qilu firmly rejected the idea and returned to his classes as if nothing had happened, while An Chuxia found herself in a complicated emotional state, worried about Grandma's behavior. An Chuxia discussed Grandma's strange condition with her friends, seeking advice.

However, Han Qilu later confronted her, accusing her of talking about their family matters outside. He insisted they could resolve their own issues and that her friends couldn't help. He also reiterated that the wedding wouldn't happen without his consent and questioned if she trusted her friends' discussions about his Grandma more than his words. Han Qilu pondered if he had been too harsh.

Shortly after, Han Qilu received a message instructing him to wait for Grandma at a nearby church. When he arrived, he found Qin Qing in a wedding dress. Han Qilu tried to leave, but Qin Qing implored him to listen. She confessed her long-standing affection, revealing she had only intended to stay at Shengde for three days but remained for three years because of him.

She asserted her belief that love could be cultivated and she had confidence in orchestrating their future together, asking for a chance to make him fall in love with her. Han Qilu gently refused. Just as Han Qilu was about to leave, Grandma appeared, declaring that the wedding was her wish and must proceed. Crying, she pleaded with Han Qilu, stating that as she was old, this was her final wish, putting immense pressure on him to agree.

The priest began the ceremony. Qin Qing readily accepted her vows, but as the priest asked Han Qilu, he hesitated. At that crucial moment, An Chuxia burst into the church, calling out Han Qilu's name and leading him away from the wedding. Outside, An Chuxia nervously asked if he would have married Qin Qing if she hadn't intervened, especially with his Grandma present.

Han Qilu affectionately teased her for being foolish, assuring her that his heart belonged only to her and he would never have married Qin Qing, regardless of her intervention. He then knelt and, using a grass ring, proposed to An Chuxia, promising they would face his Grandma together. Back at the Han residence, Grandma was furious about Han Qilu's refusal to marry Qin Qing. She offered him a final choice, asking if he still wished to marry An Chuxia.

When Han Qilu confirmed his decision, Grandma threatened to strip him of his inheritance rights and any share in the Han family business, presenting him with documents to sign away his claims. Han Qilu, without hesitation, prepared to sign, asserting that An Chuxia was more important than any inheritance. Han Qilu's mother expressed concern, stating that love shouldn't be traded for financial gain, but Grandma insisted she was trying to make Han Qilu realize the consequences.

Grandma then challenged An Chuxia, asking if she would continue to be selfish, knowing Han Qilu's sacrifice. An Chuxia, feeling the pressure, announced she would withdraw. However, Han Qilu firmly held her hand, reiterating his disinterest in the heir's responsibilities. Witnessing this, Qin Qing had a profound realization. She mused that marrying someone who didn't love her would ultimately be a tragedy, even if she were the leading lady.

She declared to Grandma that she no longer wished to marry Han Qilu, acknowledging that if one loves someone but cannot be with them, the feeling is unbearable. She extended her blessings to Han Qilu and An Chuxia, telling An Chuxia that she wasn't losing but simply giving Han Qilu to her. Later that evening, a heartbroken Qin Qing sought solace at a bar, where Li Shendong happened to be with friends for a farewell gathering.

Noticing her drinking heavily and being harassed by a stranger, Li Shendong intervened, jokingly claiming to be her boyfriend, Stanislavsky. He then encouraged her to stop drinking and go home. Qin Qing tearfully confessed that she had given up on Han Qilu, feeling like a "home wrecker" in the pursuit. Li Shendong comforted her and, at her request, sang awkwardly on stage, bringing a smile to Qin Qing's face.

His friends, witnessing their interaction, playfully suggested Li Shendong could now pursue Qin Qing, much to his embarrassment. Meanwhile, An Chuxia received exciting news: an investor, Mrs. Huang, was so impressed with her wedding dress designs from the international competition that they wanted to establish a studio and a brand for her. An Chuxia happily shared this with Han Qilu, who had already guessed her good fortune.

She warned him that she might be busy and neglect him, asking him not to be angry, to which he playfully replied, "It depends on your performance." After these events, Han Qilu's Grandma also reflected and had a change of heart. She formally admitted her mistake in interfering and told Han Qilu and An Chuxia that she would no longer meddle in their relationship. As long as they loved each other, they were free to be together. She then enthusiastically encouraged An Chuxia to choose a wedding dress, hoping they would marry soon.
