> Resúmenes de Love Beyond the Grave
Following a decisive victory that reclaimed the territories of Luozhou and Yunzhou, Duan Xu and the Liang army entered a period of temporary respite as North Chong became embroiled in an internal succession struggle. With hostilities paused, Duan Xu prepared to report back to Nandu, though he first made time to see his allies.
Before they parted ways, Duan Xu revealed a secret to He Simu: he had consumed a powerful artifact known as the "Wannling Lantern," which allowed him to perceive spirits and navigate the spirit world. To ensure He Simu’s safety while their "five senses" contract left her vulnerable and without spiritual power, Duan Xu had taken on the mantle of a spirit to protect her.
As a result of their deep bond, He Simu regained her sense of smell—a discovery that delighted her and led the duo to travel to the fragrance-rich city of Youzhou. In Youzhou, He Simu began studying the art of fragrance under a master named Liu Ruyu, quickly displaying a natural, almost intuitive talent for identifying complex scents.
During their time in the city, Duan Xu encountered a young spirit named "Mai Zi," whose casual remarks revealed that He Simu’s mother had once been a sorcerer of Starhaven, offering a crucial clue regarding her mysterious lineage. Meanwhile, they discovered that a local merchant, Yili'er, had been using his wealth and influence to facilitate dark transactions, allegedly dealing with Song Xingyu, the long-missing Lord of Jiling Temple.
One rainy night, while sharing wine and conversation, He Simu experienced the world through her newfound sense of smell, vividly perceiving the scents of rain and earth. As she grew intoxicated, a romantic moment between her and Duan Xu was abruptly interrupted by an assassin. They successfully repelled the attacker, with Duan Xu neutralizing a mysterious light on the battlefield. The following day, He Simu was summoned by Yili'er.
Though he attempted to mask his true intentions with offers of friendship, He Simu easily saw through his facade, recognizing that he had orchestrated the assassination attempt to test her capabilities. After she sternly rejected his overtures and exposed his sinister nature, Yili'er had her seized. Despite the danger, He Simu remained composed, fully aware of his deceptive schemes and his connection to the rogue spirit Song Xingyu.
