Late at night, as Bai Xia was closing her deli shop, an unexpected delivery arrived—an electric wheelchair sent by her daughter, Bai Liangliang. Moved by the gesture, Bai Xia believed her daughter still cared for the family. However, she was unaware that Liangliang was standing nearby in the shadows, clutching the property ownership certificate for No. 88 Linwei Alley, which she had successfully secured from her stepfather. Watching from a window above, Rao Yuci saw everything.

For her, merely forcing Liangliang out of Lysen was not the end; she intended to let her rival experience the true agony of losing everything after fighting so hard to gain it. The next morning, Chen Mo waited for Rao Yuci at a convenience store near the old house. When Yuci asked why he was helping her against Bai Liangliang, Chen Mo chose not to answer directly. Instead, he handed her a personal letter and left.

The shop owner noted that Chen Mo often waited there for her and advised Yuci to cherish him. In the letter, Chen Mo acknowledged her improving health, despite her intermittent tremors, and the strength she possessed to influence others. He urged her to see the world as more than a place of petty interests and to find the courage to defeat the demons of her past. At the Lysen office, the transition of the Linwei Alley project was underway.

Chen Xi moved into Bai Liangliang’s former office and immediately ordered it to be redecorated, claiming the room had poor feng shui. When an assistant tried to stop her, Chen Xi retorted that Jiang Dongchao had no intention of letting Liangliang return. However, a call from Liangliang soon chilled Chen Xi's confidence.

Liangliang warned her that the project had only been handed over because Rao Yuci allowed it, and that Chen Xi should be careful about who the real enemy was. Sensing the weight of the situation, Chen Xi ordered the workers to put everything back as it was. Despite the animosity from her colleagues over abandoning the main project, Rao Yuci visited the snack street with her loyal assistant, Tian Tian.

There, they encountered Chen Mo again as he helped translate a message for Nuan, a deaf-mute girl. Nuan’s friend was leaving for her hometown because the alley was being demolished to make way for skyscrapers. The sense of loss was palpable as Li Quanyou, the owner of a Malatang stall, delivered a farewell speech to the gathered crowd.

He reminisced about the years they had spent there, from being students to becoming parents, before the merchants joined in a heartfelt song to say goodbye to the place they had called home. That evening, Chen Mo walked Rao Yuci home to No. 88 Linwei Alley and asked if she would consider letting go of her plans for revenge. Yuci firmly declined, believing that she could never truly start over if she abandoned her current path.

Meanwhile, Chen Mo recalled his time at the treatment center, where he had first begun studying psychology to heal himself and had been drawn to Yuci’s case. Rao Yuci soon submitted a new proposal to Jiang Dongchao, focusing on the relocation of the displaced merchants to protect Lysen's reputation. This plan drew sharp criticism from Yu Peidong, who dismissed it as idealistic and unprofitable.

Undeterred, Yuci investigated potential locations and discovered that the Yinyu Commercial Building was owned by Xian Pengyu through a tech company that conducted no actual tech business. Realizing that Xian Pengyu was a hidden player with a complicated relationship with Liangliang, Yuci decided to use him as her leverage. In the background, Bai Liangliang’s influence continued to spread. Her ally, Gao, provided her with Yuci's relocation plan, while Xian Pengyu offered her financial support.

Xian Pengyu then moved into his commercial building, declaring it his base of operations to take down Jiang Dongchao. Simultaneously, Liangliang lured Rao Shusheng into a risky investment, suggesting he buy up properties in Linwei Alley to profit from the price difference once Lysen moved in. To raise the funds, Shusheng tried to convince his wife, Xu Zhaohe, to use Yuci’s savings.

This sparked a fierce argument, as Zhaohe was determined to protect the money for their daughter, reminding him of the three years Yuci had suffered alone in the treatment center. The episode concluded as Rao Yuci arrived at the Yinyu Building to confront Xian Pengyu. The two finally met face-to-face, marking the beginning of a calculated new phase in Yuci's gamble for justice.
