When Chen Mo rushes to the Lysen Group to find her, he is shocked to learn from a director that Rao Yuci has already submitted her resignation to Jiang Dongchao. Meanwhile, Bai Muran arrives at Room 1303 of the Season Apartments, believing he is meeting the mysterious "Madam Bai." Instead, he finds Rao Yuci. The room’s screens display his private Southeast Asian account records and the transaction history of his embezzlement.
Rao Yuci exposes his crimes: he misappropriated investment funds from the Lysen Group to speculate in cryptocurrency, and after suffering massive losses, he targeted the gambling-addicted Li Qiang. Bai Muran created a fraudulent gambling platform to funnel Li Qiang’s money into his offshore accounts, even dragging Li Mingxuan into the debt trap. Rao Yuci reveals that the Beauty Pearl Society was a trap she designed to catch him.
She shows him a photo of Bai Jingjing with her biological mother, proving that the "Madam Bai" he relied on was a fiction. Rao Yuci then forces him to face their dark past, recalling how he and Bai Jingjing drugged her and placed a knife in her hand to make her stab her own mother, all to frame her as insane and send her to a mental hospital.
She mocks him as a mere "mascot" and a disposable pawn who will be abandoned by the Bai family once she reports him to the police the next morning. Driven to a state of hysterical rage and terror, Bai Muran stabs Rao Yuci with a fruit knife and flees. However, Rao Yuci had anticipated his violence.
She had programmed her smartwatch to monitor her heart rate; when the trauma caused it to spike, the device automatically triggered an emergency alert to the hospital and transmitted her location. Chen Mo, having obtained the address from Bai Jingjing’s biological mother, arrives just in time to find the wounded Rao Yuci and rushes her to the emergency room. At the Bai residence, Bai Qingyu learns of the offshore account scandal from Jiang Dongchao.
She delivers a chilling ultimatum to Bai Muran: he must surrender to the police and sever all ties with the family to protect the reputation of the Baiye Group. When she begins calling lawyers to organize a press conference to publicly denounce him, Bai Muran desperately tries to stop her, only to be met with a harsh slap. His own mother can only urge him to obey his grandmother.
Bai Muran finally realizes that to his family, he was never more than a tool. In a small eatery, Jiang Dongchao meets with Bai Jingjing and reveals he was aware she had been bugging his office through his assistant. He uses the shop as a metaphor for her life, stating that he only keeps it open because it reminds him of home, but he can make it vanish the moment he is tired of it.
He reveals that he has already provided Li Wancheng with the evidence that Bai Muran was the one who drove Li Qiang to suicide. As Jiang Dongchao leaves, a horrified Bai Jingjing realizes they were all used as shields to dismantle the Li family, and she wonders who will eventually "consume" Jiang as he has consumed others.
At the hospital, doctors tell Chen Mo that although Rao Yuci’s physical wounds have been treated, she has fallen into a hysterical coma—a psychological defense mechanism where she subconsciously refuses to wake up and face her reality. Meanwhile, the police arrive at the Bai estate to arrest Bai Muran for the assault, only to find his body floating in the swimming pool. Having lost her grandson, Bai Qingyu’s cold gaze shifts toward the hospital where the unconscious Rao Yuci lies.
