When Bai Muran questioned her motives, Rao claimed her only goal was to ensure Bai Liangliang failed to find the mysterious Beauty Pearl Society. She then handed over compromising photos of Bai Liangliang with Xian Pengyu, leaving Bai Muran visibly shaken by his girlfriend's infidelity. Meanwhile, after a tryst with Xian Pengyu, Bai Liangliang questioned him about Han Congfei’s sudden rise to fame.
She noted that Han had transformed from an obscure blogger into a high-society guest simply by writing about the Beauty Pearl Society. She pressed Xian on whether Han actually possessed inside information, but Xian claimed to know nothing about the society's internal workings. When he suggested she stay the night at his hotel to escape her loneliness, she declined, leaving him to drive her home.
At the Lysen offices, Jiang Dongchao prepared a high-end reception for Yang Wanjin, whom he addressed as "Sir Yang." She even converted a gym into a specialized rehabilitation room for Mr. Xu’s recovery. However, these comforts came with a price. Rao Yuci began training the hesitant Bai Xia to transform into a sophisticated figurehead. Reflecting on her time in treatment, Rao Yuci likened her plan to the Tarantella spider—once she gripped the lifelines of her enemies, they would be forced to dance to her tune with no hope of escape. Following Rao Yuci’s instructions, Bai Xia agreed to all of his requests, leading him to believe he had secured a powerful ally. After the guests departed, the conflict between Bai Liangliang and Bai Muran turned vitriolic. After Bai Muran mocked her and revealed he knew about her affair with Xian Pengyu, Bai Liangliang warned him not to forget their shared history.
She reminded him of the night they conspired together—one hiding a knife in Rao Yuci’s study and the other tampering with her medication. Their combined actions had directly caused the drugged and disoriented Rao Yuci to stab Xu Zhaohe. That night, Jiang Dongchao received evidence from Bai Liangliang that the woman posing as Madam Bai was actually a common street vendor.
When confronted, Rao Yuci admitted she had used Jiang’s prestige to stage the performance as a lure to bring the real organization out of the shadows. Her gamble paid off when a man identifying himself as an "Actuary" for the Beauty Pearl Society approached her. He revealed that the real society had observed her charade and intended to help her achieve her goals.
Though he refused to name his employer, he stated he was under orders to cooperate with her fully. Rao Yuci immediately put his resources to use, demanding access to a specific offshore account.
