> Resumos de Put Your Head on My Shoulder
Situ Mo, her arm still bandaged, vividly recounted her rescue by the "black-face knight" to her dorm mates. She described him dramatically arriving on a noisy motorbike that spewed black fumes, leading a roommate to jokingly suggest reporting the vehicle to the Department of Environment. Despite the theatrics, she concluded that the "black-face knight," who turned out to be Gu Weiyi, saved her and took her to the hospital.
Her roommate, Niu Niu, tired of the story, eventually asked Situ Mo to throw out a meal box before sleeping to prevent it from smelling. Fu Pei called Situ Mo, trying to make amends and invite her to dinner. However, Situ Mo remained cold, telling him she never put hope in him and refusing his invitation. She reminded him to keep his voice down as her roommates were asleep before hanging up.
Meanwhile, in the lab, Gu Weiyi was approached by Mr. Xu, his lecturer. Mr. Xu persisted in trying to persuade Gu Weiyi to meet Prof. Jiang privately about a project, but Gu Weiyi firmly stated his refusal to meet Prof. Jiang without proper procedure. He used the excuse of needing to do an experiment and only having one pair of protective goggles to make Mr. Xu leave, though Mr. Xu insisted he would return.
Later, Situ Mo went to the basketball court and saw Fu Pei. She was lost in thought, remembering a sunny day in high school. Fu Pei, holding a basketball, had asked her if they should be together after college. Situ Mo, shy, had agreed, but then Fu Pei made it ambiguous by framing it as an April Fool's joke, saying her agreement would make it serious, otherwise it was just a joke.
Snapping back to reality, Situ Mo told Fu Pei about her upcoming interview at the same remote location. Fu Pei expressed concern and promised to accompany her, despite having a basketball game. However, he ultimately broke his promise. Situ Mo waited at the bus stop for Fu Pei, but Gu Weiyi arrived instead. Gu Weiyi explained that Fu Pei had blackmailed him into accompanying her. Fu Pei had called Gu Weiyi, who initially refused to help.
Fu Pei then threatened to upload a military training video of Gu Weiyi to the school forum, where Gu Weiyi was comically flattering his "teacher" while claiming to want to study under "the great Albert Einstein." Faced with this threat, Gu Weiyi reluctantly agreed to go. Situ Mo accepted his company, acknowledging that the interview location was indeed quite remote. On the bus, they unexpectedly ran into Mr. Xu.
To deter Mr. Xu from pressing him about Prof. Jiang, Gu Weiyi immediately put an earbud in Situ Mo's ear and loudly announced to Mr. Xu that he was "in a relationship" and "on a date" with Situ Mo, thus unavailable for project discussions. A surprised Mr. Xu asked Situ Mo if she was Gu Weiyi's girlfriend, which she affirmed.
Mr. Xu connected Gu Weiyi's earlier missed exam opportunity to his new relationship, hinting that Situ Mo might have been responsible for his missing student ID. Gu Weiyi cut him off, telling him not to interfere with their dating and asserting, "I'm the decision maker" in their relationship. Situ Mo quickly chimed in, "I'm the decision maker too." After Mr. Xu got off the bus, Gu Weiyi and Situ Mo exchanged subtle smiles.
Situ Mo then asked if her accidental bag swap was why Gu Weiyi missed his exam, but Gu Weiyi reassured her it was not her fault. Situ Mo proceeded to her interview at Au Xin Advertising, located in a rundown building on the fifth floor, accessible only by stairs because the elevator was broken. The chaotic office was busy with calls about overdue payments.
The manager, Zhang Da Fa, spoke with a heavy accent, criticized her major for not aligning with advertising, and quickly dismissed her, telling her to wait for a call. Feeling dejected after the one-minute interview, Situ Mo met Gu Weiyi outside. She decided to treat him to KFC, explaining that eating helps people in a bad mood and sharing a story about a person who abandoned suicide plans after eating a sweet potato.
Gu Weiyi, claiming to be in a good mood, eventually agreed to go. At KFC, a group of children challenged Gu Weiyi to a spinning top contest. Gu Weiyi confidently explained the physics of rotational inertia, stating that greater mass and force lead to longer spinning times. However, the children cheated by running away with his spinning top just as he was about to win.
Back at his dorm, Fu Pei pressed Gu Weiyi about Situ Mo's interview and whether he found her pretty. Gu Weiyi, recalling Situ Mo sleeping on his shoulder on the bus, gave a subtle smile but outwardly claimed he "didn't look carefully." Around the same time, Situ Mo's dorm mates learned that Gu Weiyi had accompanied her.
They all knew Gu Weiyi as a legendary, handsome "studybug" and discussed how he had missed a crucial project selection exam because he didn't have his student ID, attributing it to arrogance. Situ Mo, realizing it was due to their bag mix-up, felt a pang of guilt. Determined to help Gu Weiyi, Situ Mo sought out Mr. Xu, whom her dorm mates called "Gabble Xu," asking about opportunities for Gu Weiyi.
Mr. Xu, still trying to get Gu Weiyi into Prof. Jiang's project, took Situ Mo to meet Prof. Jiang. Prof. Jiang was initially dismissive, stating he only valued ability and that Gu Weiyi missed his chance by not taking the exam. Situ Mo, however, passionately argued that Prof. Jiang couldn't judge Gu Weiyi's "top student" abilities without testing him. Convinced, Prof. Jiang gave Situ Mo a challenging Ph. D. -level Polymer Physics exam paper for Gu Weiyi to complete.
Situ Mo found Fu Pei and asked him to take her to Gu Weiyi. Fu Pei, sensing her growing interest in Gu Weiyi, uncomfortably asked Situ Mo if she found Gu Weiyi handsome, but she looked puzzled, so he dropped the topic. Upon finding Gu Weiyi conducting an experiment, Situ Mo presented the exam paper. Gu Weiyi initially intended to refuse, citing fairness.
Situ Mo, using reverse psychology, provocatively told him that Prof. Jiang didn't care for students like him, believed physics students were mostly all talk, and never expected him to actually complete such a difficult Ph. D. -level exam. Annoyed by the challenge to his intelligence and pride, Gu Weiyi snatched the paper and began to work on it seriously. Situ Mo stayed by his side, quietly cleaning the whiteboard.
After a long time, with Fu Pei having fallen asleep from boredom, Gu Weiyi finally finished the exam and smiled, declaring, "Doing problems makes me happy." The three then went to a hotpot restaurant. Throughout the meal, Fu Pei was engrossed in his phone, voice chatting with girls named "Xuan Xuan" and "fairy" about basketball games.
When the waiter asked if "his girlfriend" (referring to Situ Mo) would like a drink, Fu Pei loudly denied that Situ Mo was his girlfriend. Hurt by his public denial and inattentiveness, Situ Mo started drinking heavily. In a drunken state, she tearfully confronted Fu Pei, asking him what kind of girl he truly liked, calling him "ugly," and saying she "didn't want to like him anymore."
When Fu Pei claimed he didn't know why she was upset, Situ Mo accused him of "really liking to act stupid." After Situ Mo was dropped off at her dorm, Fu Pei confronted Gu Weiyi, demanding an explanation for their fake relationship. Gu Weiyi explained that he continued the lie as a "lesson" for Fu Pei, who was "avoiding Situ Mo's feelings." Fu Pei angrily told Gu Weiyi to "stay away from Mo Mo."
Gu Weiyi retorted by questioning Fu Pei's authority and telling him to "know his place." Fu Pei then had a flashback to high school. He recalled how his friends' jealousy had pressured him into backing out of his promise to be with Situ Mo after college. The memory continued to the painful confrontation that followed, where Situ Mo told Fu Pei she knew he never took anything seriously and that his promise was just a joke.
She expressed regret for thinking she could change him and apologized for overestimating her own importance. When Fu Pei tried to downplay it, she suggested they forget their promise, stating dismissively that she had "just casually agreed." Fu Pei retorted that he had "just casually asked." Frustrated, Situ Mo walked away, leaving him with a final jab about whether he was really that desperate for friends.
