After K&K's victory in the Asian Championship, Han Shangyan led Tong Nian out of the arena, but they were immediately surrounded by an enthusiastic crowd of fans. Protecting Tong Nian, Han Shangyan loudly announced that she was his wife, currently pregnant, and needed to go for a prenatal check-up, asking the fans to clear a path. The fans quickly complied, and the couple sweetly made their way to the car.
Before the car even started, Han Shangyan and Tong Nian shared an unrestrained kiss. Tong Nian playfully called him a "great trickster" for his clever tactic. Upon arriving at Tong Nian's home, Han Shangyan asked her to cooperate with whatever he said, keeping his intentions a "surprise." To bolster his courage, Tong Nian even called her dog, Summer, to join them. Tong Nian's parents greeted them warmly, having just watched K&K win the Asian Championship online.
Her father exclaimed that it felt as exciting as watching the Olympic Games. Taking advantage of the celebratory mood, Han Shangyan bowed respectfully, a 90-degree gesture, which initially startled her parents. He explained that although he had won national championships in the past, he always harbored regret for not reaching a higher international stage. With K&K's victory, carrying on his legacy, he now felt he had the courage to make a significant request.
Han Shangyan spoke from the heart, expressing how fortunate he felt to have Tong Nian in his life. She had taught him how to smile and love, transforming him. He firmly declared his desire to marry Tong Nian that very day, asking for their permission and Tong Nian's household register, so he could have the right to cherish her for a lifetime. Tong Nian, unaware of his plan, was momentarily speechless.
Her father, concerned for his only daughter, asked Han Shangyan to promise she would never suffer. Han Shangyan pledged to love her with more than double the affection her father had shown. Her mother, still hesitant about their age difference, urged Han Shangyan to love Tong Nian well. He vowed to do his utmost to love her, living every day as if it were a lifetime.
After a moment of consideration, Tong Nian's mother retrieved the household register, instructing Han Shangyan to treat their daughter well and to visit for dinner three times a week. With the household register in hand, Han Shangyan emotionally stated he was exchanging the Asian Championship honor for this opportunity. Tong Nian's parents, moved, embraced their daughter and future son-in-law. Tong Nian reassured her crying parents that she would always be their daughter.
After bidding farewell to Tong Nian's parents, Han Shangyan carried Tong Nian out of the house in a princess carry to the car, enjoying the envious glances from passersby. Tong Nian, though shy, felt incredibly happy. Next, Han Shangyan drove Tong Nian to the K&K Esports Club. There, he passionately kissed his future bride again and announced to his ecstatic team that he had successfully obtained their "Sister-in-Law's" household register, to resounding cheers.
Upstairs, he found his old friends, Wang Hao, Appledog, Mi Shaofei, and Ou Qiang, who had come to celebrate K&K's victory. They jokingly expressed disbelief that the notoriously grumpy, anti-social, penniless Han Shangyan was getting married before any of them. Standing on the balcony, they reminisced about their past dreams of championship glory.
Appledog shared a sentiment about successfully passing on their dreams to the next generation, believing that both K&K and SP would continue to strive for China's world championship dream. They raised their glasses in a toast, with Han Shangyan opting for juice as he needed to drive, wishing his friends their own happiness. At 5 AM, Han Shangyan and Tong Nian arrived at the marriage registration office, only to find it closed and completely empty.
Tong Nian found it amusing that he, usually so composed, was doing such "outrageous" things with her. Han Shangyan called his grandfather in Norway to share the news. His grandfather was overjoyed, exclaiming that Tong Nian would legally be his granddaughter-in-law in just two hours. He excitedly insisted on five weddings: one in Shanghai, one in their hometown, one in Norway, a Chinese-style one, and a Western-style one. Tong Nian greeted him, amused by the elaborate plans.
Han Shangyan then knelt and proposed to Tong Nian with his Asian Championship ring. Tong Nian, noting his inexperience, gently informed him that engagement rings go on the middle finger, while wedding rings go on the ring finger. The ring was slightly too large, so he placed it on her thumb, promising to replace it with a real one later. Tong Nian accepted, touched that he offered his most treasured championship ring, the only one he had kept.
They discussed their living arrangements after marriage, with Han Shangyan humorously suggesting he might move into her girls' dormitory. He clarified that they would address housing after the World Finals and their wedding. To ensure they were the first in line when the office opened, Han Shangyan took off his suit jacket for Tong Nian to sit on, and she comfortably rested her head on his lap.
When the doors finally opened, they were met with admiring glances from other couples who had started to gather. Reflecting on their journey, Tong Nian thought of their relationship as a shared dream, where even small moments brought immense joy. Han Shangyan and Tong Nian were the first couple to register, officially becoming husband and wife at the Changning District Civil Affairs Bureau.
Later, the K&K and SP teams headed to Shanghai Airport, preparing to fly abroad for the World Finals. During a live broadcast call, SP's manager, Appledog, noted that K&K was running late, prompting a K&K team member to jokingly blame "Sister-in-Law" (Tong Nian) for taking too long with her makeup. Meanwhile, Mi Shaofei and his team were also en route. Upon arriving, Han Shangyan confidently told Wang Hao that the World Finals trophy already had K&K's name engraved on it. The two old rivals exchanged a meaningful glance, a silent acknowledgment of their long-standing dream to win a world championship for China, a dream now finally within their grasp.
