Donghua Emperor returned to Tai Chen Palace carrying a heavily intoxicated Fengjiu, where he encountered Lian Song. Lian Song playfully remarked on the Emperor's uncharacteristic intimacy with a woman, identifying her as the young empress of Green Hill. He teased Donghua, saying that being a son-in-law of Green Hill was no easy feat, citing the romantic entanglements his own brother Sang Ji and the Crown Prince Ye Hua had faced.

Donghua's attendant then asked where Fengjiu should sleep, and Donghua indicated the maids' quarters. As he gently placed her on a bed, Fengjiu murmured his name in her sleep. The next morning, mortified by her drunken behavior, Fengjiu nervously approached Donghua to apologize. She inquired if he had brought her back and poured her sobering soup, to which Donghua confirmed he had, adding that it was three bowls, not two.

Fengjiu insisted on repaying him, explaining that she could not break Green Hill's rules or bring shame upon her aunt. Donghua subtly prompted her, asking if her aunt was truly strict and whether she resembled her. Fengjiu proudly affirmed, mentioning her aunt's strictness and how she was often compared to her aunt in her youth.

Donghua then revealed he knew her aunt had studied at Kunlun Void and was quite overbearing, even chasing away eighteen high immortals with the Yuqing Kunlun Fan. Fengjiu, surprised, admitted she had never heard her aunt speak of such events. Donghua further reassured her that he, an immortal known for not meddling or gossiping, would keep her aunt's secret.

Sensing an opening, Fengjiu then explicitly asked if he would reveal that her aunt was High Immortal Si Yin, confirming the secret. She nearly divulged more about Mo Yuan's body, but Donghua interrupted, stating he had a connection with her aunt and would discuss matters in detail when she married into the Heavenly Palace.

When Fengjiu protested, reminding him of his promise not to tell outsiders, Donghua simply asked if her aunt was an outsider, before leaving for his meeting, having successfully extracted the information he sought. One year and nine months later, Ye Hua returned to the humble cottage. Su Su, who had been anxiously waiting, burst into tears, asking if he was afraid she would be old by the time he returned.

Ye Hua embraced her tightly, reassuring her that he was tirelessly searching for a way for them to remain together indefinitely and just needed a little more time. Su Su, however, pressed him, asking if his family disliked her or if he already had a wife. Ye Hua vehemently denied ever being married before her. He then cooked an elaborate meal, prompting Su Su to marvel at his culinary skills.

Ye Hua hinted at a past experience where he was forced to eat raw meat. Midway through dinner, Ye Hua reluctantly informed Su Su that he had to leave again. This time, Su Su pleaded with him to take her along, emphasizing that as husband and wife, they should face fortunes and misfortunes together. Despite his concerns about the dangers of his journey, Ye Hua, unable to bear leaving her alone again, eventually relented.

The following morning, Ye Hua gave Su Su the Yuqing Kunlun Fan and had her disguise herself in men's attire for their journey. Su Su, unaware of the fan's magical properties, cherished it as a gift from Ye Hua. Before leaving, Ye Hua tenderly bid farewell to a small bird he had been feeding, promising to reunite if fate allowed.

The couple then embarked on a challenging journey, traversing mountains and rivers, yet finding solace and happiness in each other's company. They eventually reached the Long Sea territory, where they encountered Merpeople. Ye Hua quickly instructed Su Su to hide behind a tree before engaging in battle with the Merpeople. During the skirmish, Die Feng, the Second Prince of the West Sea and former senior disciple of Kunlun Void, arrived with his soldiers and intervened, helping Ye Hua.

Die Feng was astonished by Su Su's striking resemblance to Si Yin and the Yuqing Kunlun Fan she carried, as well as Ye Hua's uncanny likeness to Mo Yuan. However, he was confused that Su Su was clearly a mortal woman. Ye Hua discreetly revealed his identity as the Heavenly Crown Prince to Die Feng, explaining he was on a civilian inspection mission and wished for his identity, especially his connection to Su Su, to remain secret.

Die Feng, recognizing Ye Hua’s astute observations, agreed and invited them to the Long Sea Immortal Realm. He also mentioned that the Yuqing Kunlun Fan had once fallen into the possession of the Winged Monarch, Li Jing. Inside the Crystal Palace of Long Sea, Su Su asked Ye Hua about his private conversation with Die Feng. Ye Hua fabricated a story about asking if the fan was genuine to avoid embarrassment with his "wife."

Su Su playfully speculated that Die Feng, a high immortal, might have sought to recruit Ye Hua, a "mortal" cultivator. She then overheard the Long Sea Second Princess and her maid discussing an arranged marriage to the Merpeople chieftain. The princess expressed her strong disinterest in the chieftain and her desire to marry either Die Feng or, preferably, the renowned Heavenly Crown Prince, whose legendary birth and accomplishments she recounted in detail.

When Su Su was accidentally discovered, Ye Hua swiftly led her away. Su Su remarked on the beauty of the Crystal Palace but yearned for the scent of peach blossoms instead of the sea. Ye Hua, remembering Zhe Yan's Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms, used his magic to transport them there. Su Su was overjoyed by the magnificent sight.

They secretly "borrowed" a pot of Zhe Yan's Peach Blossom wine, and Su Su, upon smelling it, felt a strange familiarity, as if she had tasted it before. Ye Hua, stating it was unlikely he would see Zhe Yan again, assured her it was fine. Su Su then expressed her wish for Ye Hua to plant her own ten-mile peach blossom forest someday.

Later, Die Feng, having observed Su Su, remarked to Ye Hua that he knew she was a woman and advised him to send her away due to the impending war and her mortal status. Ye Hua agreed, acknowledging his own desire to protect her by keeping her existence a secret. Meanwhile, Li Yuan, having escaped from the Winged Tribe with the help of Yan Zhi, resolved to flee to Long Sea.

His mother was of the Merpeople Tribe, and he intended to leverage their power to exact revenge on Li Jing. Yan Zhi, deeply worried about her brothers fighting to the death, urged Li Yuan to seek a secluded place and provided him with resources. Li Yuan, however, explained that his 70,000 years in prison had made him unstable and unwavering in his desire to fight Li Jing.

He then ruthlessly killed his own trusted aides, citing past betrayals as justification for his secrecy. In the Heavenly Palace, Donghua and Lian Song were playing chess. Lian Song informed Donghua that the Heavenly Monarch had decreed Ye Hua and Bai Qian's wedding for the third of the following month, an unusually rushed decision. Lian Song speculated that Bai Qian might be anxious about another canceled engagement.

Fengjiu, entering to serve tea, overheard this and indignantly defended her aunt, arguing that Bai Qian, the most beautiful woman in the Four Seas and Eight Wildernesses, had nothing to fear and might not even care for her fiancé. Donghua, observing Fengjiu's spirited defense, found her rather endearing. He later inquired about Green Hill's response to the wedding date, learning there had been none yet. In Green Hill, the Fox Emperor and Empress were in a predicament.

The Heavenly Monarch had announced the wedding, praising Bai Qian's merit in sealing the Eastern Emperor Bell, but Bai Qian was nowhere to be found. The Fox Empress suggested outright canceling the engagement. Zhe Yan vehemently opposed this, reminding them that after Sang Ji's previous withdrawal, such a move would bring widespread criticism and further shame Bai Qian, hindering any future marriage proposals. Bai Zhen agreed, emphasizing the past humiliation Bai Qian had endured.

Zhe Yan then proposed a plan: since it was widely known that Bai Qian sealed the Eastern Emperor Bell, they should inform the Heavenly Tribe that she was severely injured in the process and required tens of thousands of years of secluded recovery. This would buy them precious time to locate her. Back in Long Sea, Princess Lu Xiu, smitten with Ye Hua, approached Su Su (whom she still believed to be a young man).

She inquired if "Hua Ye" was married, and Su Su, careful not to reveal her true identity, confirmed he had a mortal wife. Princess Lu Xiu, viewing this as an opportunity, proclaimed that if she married him, he would cease to be mortal. She elaborated that she could transfer her magic to him, making him an immortal. However, as a princess, she would have to be his main consort, meaning he would have to divorce his mortal wife.

Su Su was taken aback, asking if all mortals were to be "disposed of" in such a manner. Princess Lu Xiu clarified that it was not disdain for mortals, but a rule that immortals could not be with them. She concluded that it depended solely on whether "Hua Ye" desired to become an immortal, questioning why any mortal would refuse such an opportunity.

Listening to her, Su Su grew increasingly uneasy and worried, contemplating whether becoming an immortal was Ye Hua's ultimate dream and if he would indeed abandon her for such a chance.
