Xuan Nü gave birth to a sickly child, filling Li Jing with despair. She accused a shaman of poisoning her child, leading Li Jing to order the shaman's execution despite the shaman's protests that Xuan Nü forced him to use forbidden spells. Li Jing, reflecting on the situation, recalled ancient tales of ill-fated couples whose children were born sickly, fearing this was retribution for his own actions. Later, Su Su successfully gave birth to a son.

Everyone rejoiced and offered their congratulations to Su Su and Ye Hua. Ye Hua brought the baby to Su Su, who held him and noted his resemblance to Ye Hua. Internally, however, she expressed her conviction that she would not remain in the Nine Heavens, believing the Heavenly Palace people would not trouble the child.

Suppressing her maternal instincts, she then instructed Nai Nai to take the infant to the wet nurse provided by the Heavenly Monarch, saying she was tired and wished to rest. Elsewhere, Su Jin was furious upon learning that Su Su had given birth to a son. Her maid speculated that this would elevate the mortal's status and become an obstacle for Su Jin's own aspirations.

Su Jin bitterly questioned why Su Su, a mere mortal, was so fortunate to marry Ye Hua and bear his first son, feeling she, a princess of the Heavenly Tribe and a descendant of martyrs, was more deserving. To solidify Su Su's standing, Ye Hua severely punished the maids who had previously prevented Nai Nai from entering his chambers, condemning them to a hundred-year tribulation in the mortal world for potentially endangering Su Su and the young prince.

Afterward, Ye Hua brought Su Su beautiful, plain fabrics, explaining that while the wedding dress itself would be grand, these were for her personal preference. Nai Nai excitedly shared with Su Su that everyone in Pure Wutong Palace was abuzz about their imminent marriage, delighted that her mistress's suffering was finally over. However, Su Su remained impassive, expressing sadness and saying that Ye Hua was only marrying her out of pity.

Nai Nai tried to reassure her, but Su Su dismissed her concerns, changing the subject. Su Su frequently requested Nai Nai to accompany her to the Immortal Execution Platform. Nai Nai voiced her apprehension, warning Su Su that it was an ominous place. Su Su, however, insisted she simply enjoyed the fragrance of the flowers along the path. She began to walk towards the platform on her own, guiding herself by touching the railings.

She told Nai Nai she couldn't always rely on her and needed to learn to walk by herself, especially since Nai Nai had to care for the young prince. Nai Nai mentioned that Ye Hua had lifted the restrictions on Pure Wutong Palace, granting Su Su freedom to move about the Heavenly Palace. Su Su then asked if Ye Hua had named their son. Nai Nai replied that Ye Hua was waiting for Su Su to choose a name.

Su Su suggested "Ah Li," using the character for "separation." Nai Nai found the name inauspicious, but Su Su, feeling she should be favored now, insisted on it. Su Su then apologized to Nai Nai for her mood swings since losing her eyes, assuring her she didn't mean to cause discomfort. As Zhe Yan prepared to leave the Heavenly Palace, he encountered Su Su.

He was struck by her resemblance to Bai Qian (whom he referred to as "Young Fifth"), noticing the lower half of her face and a faint peach blossom scent. Ye Hua, seeing Zhe Yan's contemplative gaze, immediately apologized, assuming Su Su had offended him. Zhe Yan inquired about Su Su's name and realized she was Ye Hua's companion. He explained his momentary confusion, mentioning Su Su's likeness to an old friend from Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms.

Ye Hua clarified that Su Su was a mortal and had never visited the Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms, but the name sparked a fleeting memory in Su Su of Ye Hua's past promise to plant peach blossoms for her. Zhe Yan then extended an invitation for her to visit his Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms should she ever have the chance, to which Su Su replied that she hoped she could.

Returning to Pure Wutong Palace, Su Su timidly explained to Ye Hua that her excursions were merely for the flower fragrance, promising not to go if he disliked it. Ye Hua, heartbroken by her demeanor, interrupted her, stating that as his future Crown Princess, she would have absolute freedom and would not need to explain her actions to anyone.

Su Su, however, showed little change in emotion, simply promising not to go anywhere or cause any more trouble, which filled Ye Hua with further heartache and guilt. Ye Hua then reminded her of their wedding in ten days. Su Su expressed her worry about the elaborate wedding etiquette, fearing that her blindness would make her a laughingstock. Ye Hua comforted her, assuring her that he would be by her side.

Separately, the Heavenly Monarch discussed Ye Hua's defiance regarding the decree for Su Jin to enter Pure Wutong Palace as his side consort with the First Prince. The Heavenly Monarch acknowledged Ye Hua's impenetrable actions in securing Su Su's status (by changing maids, assigning guards, and publicly taking her as his companion/intended wife), making it difficult to intervene.

He expressed his hope that Bai Qian, the renowned beauty of the Four Seas and Eight Wildernesses, once married to Ye Hua, would eventually change his affections. Meanwhile, Donghua discovered Fengjiu's disappearance. He confronted Zhiyue, who tearfully confessed to throwing the fox (Fengjiu) into the Demon Tower. Donghua immediately rushed to the Demon Tower. Inside, he found Fengjiu, in her fox form, crying out in pain about her injured tail.

Realizing that using immortal magic within the tower might harm Fengjiu, a beast, Donghua engaged the powerful Tower Demon King in hand-to-hand combat, ultimately slaying the formidable demon but sustaining severe injuries himself. He carried the unconscious Fengjiu out of the tower.

Siming was shocked to see the Emperor wounded, explaining that Donghua had already used a great deal of magic to save Fengjiu earlier (referring to previous events) and then killed the Tower Demon King, a fearsome entity left by Father God. Back in Tai Chen Palace, Donghua sat watching the unconscious Fengjiu, ignoring Siming and the Medicine King. Fengjiu eventually awoke in Donghua's bedchamber, surprised by her surroundings.

She immediately inquired about Donghua's condition, worried she had caused him trouble again. Siming reassured her that Donghua was resting, but bluntly informed her that Donghua believed she caused too much trouble and should return to Green Hill, adding that Donghua never desired repayment from her. Siming further explained that Donghua was a "stone-faced immortal," devoid of affections or desires, and advised Fengjiu not to waste her time.

Heartbroken, Fengjiu asked Siming to convey her goodbyes to Donghua and, despite her sorrow, departed. Siming reported Fengjiu's departure to Donghua, who silently watched her leave with a profound gaze. Fengjiu returned to Green Hill, where Mi Gu greeted her, concerned by her downcast demeanor. Fengjiu asked for her aunt, Bai Qian, only to learn that Bai Qian had been missing since her battle with Qingqang.

Mi Gu explained that the Fox Emperor and Zhe Yan believed Bai Qian was safe but enjoying her freedom, and they had kept her disappearance a secret to avoid alarming the Heavenly Tribe given her engagement to Ye Hua. Remembering how Shao Xin had previously disgraced Bai Qian, Fengjiu, seeking a distraction from her own heartbreak over Donghua, resolved to confront Shao Xin. She travelled to the North Sea, where she angrily accused Shao Xin of betraying her savior.

Shao Xin, expressing remorse, accepted the accusations without retaliation and offered to return Bai Qian's Cloud-Breaking Fan, intending to seek forgiveness. Fengjiu, somewhat placated, accepted the fan and stated that while she couldn't promise Bai Qian's forgiveness, she was willing to overlook Shao Xin's past transgression because Shao Xin had not divulged any of Green Hill's internal affairs to outsiders.

Shao Xin confirmed her vow to keep silent about such matters, even specifically mentioning the secret person in Splendid Flame Cave, and swore an oath. Soon after, Fengjiu's father arrived, sternly admonishing her for her recent actions and asking why she had gone to the Heavenly Palace to repay a debt. Back in the Heavenly Palace, Su Jin led her attendants to Pure Wutong Palace but was denied entry.

Meanwhile, while Nai Nai was taking young Ah Li to visit Empress Lexu, Su Su took the opportunity to make her way alone to the Immortal Execution Platform. As she slowly walked, her mind was flooded with memories of her life with Ye Hua, deepening her sense of despair. In another palace, Ye Hua was conversing with Empress Lexu when Ah Li suddenly began to cry uncontrollably.

A wave of foreboding washed over Ye Hua, and he immediately rushed to Pure Wutong Palace, only to find Su Su gone. Just then, Su Su's voice emanated from a bronze mirror.
